After providing them with detail and pictures, the crew responded the next day and completed the job within 4-hours. I contacted AirCare Hawaii because we found a slow leak in our Kitchen. The plumber came but when he opened up the wall he saw a lot of toxic black mold. He referred me to AirCare. I contacted them via Yelp and the manager responded right away. She sent someone within 30 minutes. She was very cordial and explained the entire process to me. Jason showed up exactly 40 minutes from my inquiry. My first impression of the owner was that he was very kind and addressed all my concerns about mold. Jason put my fears at ease and was able to rearrange to have one of employees come to remediate it ASAP as they were in the area on another job. He explained that he was going to have them set up containment, use some type of filtration system and negative air during the entire process to that no mold spores get all over the house and into our lungs. Once all that is set up, then the specialist cuts out the drywall and all wet areas that can't be salvaged and treated. Uses non toxic solutions to treat and disinfect the wall. Everything he said made me feel very comfortable. My husband approved the work right away! Just as Jason promised, a young man showed up and went right to work. Spent about 3 hours here and just left! I would absolutely recommended this company for mold removal. They were professional from start to finish, knowledgeable about mold spores and species, fast, and most importantly they cared about my situation. Horrible company. Id give princenthal a negative 100 stars. This guy is unbelievably crazy! He only finds mold for money. I would never hire this company! He wants to milk you for mold standards that don't exist and he makes things to accommodate his pockets!!! You can rent your own dehumidifier, blower, tape & plastic sheeting from home depot! It seems people who are posting reviews with stars are having it paid by someone else! So of course hell be nice etc. hes gonna milk someone else! Common sense! The 5 star reviews are from his relatives! Lmfao! Pathetic! I had researched their companies employees names and boom..they are related! See for yourself! They dont clean mold he just blows it around so he can get your money or your bldg. mgmt and or insurance. You can get better cleaning from a maid service. They charge you for using the word ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES WHEN THEY HAVE NO DEGREE IN BIOLOGY/microbio or chemistry. Anyone can wear 3M masks from home depot. So instead he went behind my back to the building manager and gave them an exuberant quote $10k to be exact, to clean something he says is not there???? He told my bldg. theres no mold and YET QUOTED THEM FOR MOLD CLEAN UP after telling me I had no mold. You see how twisted it was!! It was craaaaazzzyyyyy!!! Jason Princenthal then told the bldg. the mold was my fault. OMFG IS THIS GUY ON DRUGS??? When clearly it was from water outside seeping in through the planter box. The water has been sitting for over a long time. The water even had algae in it! It was slimy and black! He just looks for who to collect money from and uses his story to get money. He of course thinks it business for him to do that. I swear he's the most shady person on Oahu Ive ever come across!! Im sure his kids and family think higy of him since he pays them too. I hired another company to run tests and they found a lot of mold spores flying around in the hundreds of thousands!! They shut schools down in the mainland for that!!!! THERE WAS VISIBLE Thick white cotton candy like dust FLYING AROUND AND HE DENIED IT ALL he said it was just dust!! Wtf! Mind you I was 8 months pregnant, and he claimed there was no mold and no water visible! He ran no tests, brought no tools. Just a clip board. And he shows his thermal imaging device on yelp like he uses it!!?? WTF!! Figure that for a second!!! This guy is super creepy & i would not trust this company ever!!! All their abbreviations do not equate a microbiology or mycology degree or any type of formal training for human health!!! These people use environmental terms but have no degree for it! Think about that for a second... I will never forgive what happened! EVER!! I tell everyone about what he did and will continue to tell everyone everything till the day I die! What he did caused me total financial loss and drained my every emotion while i was pregnant! I was living a nightmare because of his lies and deception! I cried for so long! This hurt me back then as it is hurting me now to even write what he put me through! ALL FOR MONEY! ALL FOR HIS OWN GAIN! I look at his web sites and he talks about empowering women when he completely ruined my life, my youth with my first child! I really hope Karma makes her full circle! Had a mold problem in AC ducting that they claimed they could repair. After several visits still can smell the mold. Save your money and replace your ducting if it gets moldy. The clean and coat method doesn't work. read more

I'm not one to write reviews but I truly feel that I was provided exceptional service, not once but twice, and AirCare Hawaii deserves recognition where recognition is due. The first time we used their services was for duct cleaning services in our own home, our family was experiencing major allergies. We had already had two other companies "clean" our air ducts with no results, the problems still persisted. We called AirCare Hawaii on the recommendation of a friend. Jason and Lindsay came to do a home inspection. They didn't find anything visually but when they inspected the air ducts they found lots and lots of mold. Their estimate was reasonable and we decided to give them a try. After our AC system was cleaned our home noticeably SMELLED cleaner and we were feeling better. They offered a preventative maintenance program where they come in every 6 months to check the cleanliness of the system and we have been using the company ever since. More recently, a tenant in our rental called us to complain about black and white mold on the couches and the cabinets. We were worried about their health and did not want to lose them as tenants. The first thing I did was call AirCare Hawaii. They came out and met me at the rental along with the tenant. They were very professional and put my tenant and me at ease. They even advised us that we could probably clean it ourselves to cut down costs and proceeded to tell us what needed to be done. They provided us with an estimate and ultimately I choose to use their services because I trust their work and I wanted to ensure that everything was cleaned properly for my tenant. They cleaned all the surfaces with mold with eco-friendly solutions instead of harsh chemicals. They ran an air scrubber and fogged to target and penetrate mold in hard to reach areas. They ensured we knew what was happening each step of the way. They even explained ways to control the environment to reduce exposure to allergens! The tenants' home was clean and she was happy. I'm happy knowing that everything was handled professionally and efficiently. I will continue to use their services if I should ever need them in the future, and I will send anyone in need of their services directly to them. read more

I dealt with AirCare and Dustin Salsido on a water leak on my Kailua rental and had a great experience. It was the weekend but my first call was still responded to quickly. Within a few hours the the Aircare team drove out and set up fans to dry out the water in the carpets. Fortunately the work started right away so there was no time for mold to set in. The price seemed reasonable enough considering it was the weekend and how fast they took care of the situation. I am not sure I will ever need services again but if I do, I would definitely call them first. read more

I had damage from a minor water leak and Aircare made multiple trips to inspect, clean, and repair the damage. The guys that came to test for moisture damage, install and set up the de-humidification equipment, as well as the guys who came to repair the drywall, were all very professional and did a great job. I don't enjoy giving bad reviews, but I would like to help others avoid unnecessary pain and financial setback. I had a slow leaking toilet that led to some water damage in the kitchen below. The owner Mr. Princenthal came to assess the damage himself. The quote was unusually high for such little damage, he assured us that the home insurance we had would cover the cost especially after they see his report. Long story short, our insurance refused to cover the damage due to his report. It was as if he did his best to make sure that they wouldn't cover it. The owner's son seemed to feel bad for us and allowed us to use the dehumidifiers an extra day free of charge. When we were billed by the owner's daughter, we brought up her brother's word and she basically didn't care and charged us for the extra day. This was my family's worse experience with any business and this happened years ago. I wanted to just let it go and I thought I did for years. After reading another yelper's terrible experience working with this family that was so similar to my own, I felt that I couldn't stay silent any longer. Then the thought of this family profiting handsomely off the pain of others compelled me to write about my experience to warn others about doing business with this company. read more
