We had a leak from our upstairs shower into the kitchen sink through a light fixture! we are renting and haven't been in the house a full 9 months. The bathroom was a new renovation done just before we moved in. A plumber came in and had to demo the entire base of the shower and cut a hole in the kitchen ceiling to repair the issues. He mentioned a bacterial smell. I called our landlord to request a mold inspection and MD was over the very next day. They have all the tools to assess the moisture leve and indicated that it was necessary to use two large dehumidifiers to dry out the mess. Lua is excellent! She explained the situation and plan of action and was extremely sympathetic toward our chaos. She told me that she would be checking back every couple of days and that I could expect to see her for sure. I find this to be really reassuring that I knew I would be able to expect a friendly, familiar face. She returned today and did all the necessary checks and determined that the dehumidifiers had done their job and we could get them out. I needed a full renewal for my kitchen. I saw MD Restoration was replacing water heater in downstairs condo unit. The workman took water heater tank out. He drained dirty water from the tank directly into the flower garden inside the building although outside yard was less than 10 feet away. I was surprised to see this. It took longer than a day to replace the water heater tank for them. T After they finished the project, 3 workmen left used materials and trashes behind. I called and told MD Restoration. Just thought he was the guy to check for any mold and to note down repairs needed and give us an estimate. He ended up being my go-to guy and always answered my call and my questions. MD Restoration deserves a 5 star rating WITHOUT hesitation. We recently had windows, doors & sidings installed and within days after the sidings were installed, we suffered new water damage to our downstairs family room ceiling from the severe Kona storms. Both the insurance adjuster & Paul Kaminaka, Project Manager from MD Restoration, came to assess the damage to provide estimates. Both deemed that the water damage came from blocked weep holes from the upstairs door frame due to improper installation that would require re-installation of that door, especially since it should still be covered under warranty. I was impressed by the detailed & transparent estimate (including their profit listed, which few companies do). Since I felt it was only right that the window/ door installers had the opportunity to fix their own problems that they created, I decided not to use MD Restoration for the asbestos/ mold removal & repair (though would've if the problem were isolated to just the family room). Paul was fantastic, friendly, communicates well, prompt with his replies and transparent with the entire process, making his part of the process so much easier. If you need their services, I would highly recommend them & would definitely use them in the future if needed. read more

My entire apartment was 1-2 inches deep with water and I had 5 guys in my apartment with shop vacs and mops still clearing the water when MD Restoration arrived. He came on time, was very thorough in mitigating this mold problem by treating it and cleaning the areas. Garrett was very friendly, and worked so hard.
