I had to get a master cylinder replaced they quoted me 270ish so me being me I had to go somewhere else and price check I went to big brand they wanted to charge me 575!!!! That was insane!!! I would 1000 percent recommend this shop. It's been here for over 30 years and the inside looks like it. But it strangely gives you a comfort feeling with the old soda machine old posters from the 90s . It just gives your grandpas shop. I love me a mom and pop shop. They do it right every time !! Walking in the door I was curious as I remembered the line from Albert Einstein, A clean desk is a sign of a messy mind. Little did I know an auto had taken out the entry to their reception area. We had a curious rumble under the hood that for best I could tell was muffler related as we had no dash lights or power/mileage issues or smoking exhaust. We keep regular services as per manufacture lists. They come back to me with the oil stick and we are extremely low on oil??? 3 quarts, we are fine and out the door, no noise and the other issue of shudder while idling are gone. The car dealer service departments are all about commission now. They will tell you to replace things that don't need to be replaced. They take advantage of the elderly, which is sad as they have limited income. Andy and his staff are honest. I take my car to get oil changed, brakes, tires, and wheel alignment. If there's something wrong with my car I go there first. If it's something his shop can't do, he'll refer me and let me know where to go. Andy and Lee are the best! Been coming here for about 13 years with my personal cars and my family's cars! Top quality work with reasonable prices. They are always honest and trustworthy. They specialize in brakes, alignments and mufflers. They always go above and beyond for me and I usually ask them if it's something they can install. For example, like a front strut brace for my car, camber bolts or coil over suspension. This is my usual go to place with my vehicles. Lee always ensures me of things I want to replace but dont need too. I went ahead and purchased new bearings and hubs for my vehicle along with rotors and pads. Thinking my bearings where making noise. But when he showed me the brake caliper it was a bad instal of the previous owners mechanic. I had some damage on my muffler from a small accident that made it rattle while driving. I got a quote from the dealer to repair the muffler (they probably quoted me to replace the whole thing) for almost $1000. For the past 20 years, I've relied on Pronto Brake and Muffler to keep my vehicles in good running order. Before my wife passed away, we owned a "handicapped-accessible" Plymouth van because she needed a power wheelchair to get around. The van was heavier than a "stock" model, so Andy and Lee installed specialized brake pads to provide extra stopping power. And, while they don't advertise the service, they maintained the slide-out ramp and other specialized components for us. I was proud that our van sported a "Pronto" sticker indicating who maintained it. After so many positive experiences, I have the utmost confidence in Andy and Lee to give me an honest assessment of my vehicle's condition. I'm comfortable taking it to them and simply asking what repairs are needed. Just today, I took my Chevy sedan in because I had a rear tire that had run flat a few times in the past week. Upon entering the showroom, I told Andy that I probably needed two new tires because of the leaky one. From personal experience and from hearing friends' and relatives' horror stories, I know that if a customer prognoses a problem for a mechanic, they'll perform an inspection, and most likely agree with the customer's assessment. Then they'll recommend a repair job, new parts, etc. I had resigned myself to the probability of needing to spend $150-$200 today for new tires. If Andy told me the tires needed replacement, I would have believed him without question. However, after examining the "leaky" tire, Andy informed me that he found a nail in it, which could be easily repaired. He also suggested that, based on the condition of all four tires, I should be able to get another six months from them before they need to be replaced. So, instead of spending upwards to $200 on the tires, I left Pronto only $12 "lighter" than when I arrived. A day that started on a lousy note suddenly got a lot better! Sometimes though, I wonder how Andy and Lee feed their families, given all of the repair jobs they tell their customers aren't needed immediately or at all! There's no question where I will take my vehicles when they need repairs, service, or new tires. I have full confidence that the nice guys at Pronto Brake and Muffler will give me the straight scoop when I bring my vehicles into their parking lot, and that they'll do excellent work when it's needed. I recommend the business without the slightest hesitation. P.S.
