I have a specialized front license plate bumper guard that I found to be hanging on by one screw ( 4yrs. Later ). I was paranoid that it and my front plate would detach and be lost aside the road somewhere. I stopped in without an appointment, and I was back on the road less than 20 mins. My heavy duty guard and plate more secure than when it was first installed. Seriously. Go here. I can't believe this shop doesn't have more reviews. They were AMAZING. Let me give you the abridged version of what happened to me and how they helped: My tires were stolen off my Honda Fit (same week as my credit card was stolen. Needless to say, it was a red letter week for me.). The insurance company appraised the damages at their facility, but when I found Airport Auto I wanted to move it there. Airport Auto came the same day to tow my car to their facility and do their own assessment of damages. They found more damage than the insurance company had estimated and worked with the adjuster to go through each item and explain why it should be included in the claim check. I called them several times over the course of a few days and they always took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. They were honest and straight forward, and they did incredible work. When I got my car back they had buffed it and cleaned the windshield in addition to all the other work they did -- it looked better than when I bought it! The work was excellent, the service was wonderful, and the price was extremely fair (I went to 3 other body shops for estimates before Airport Auto). If you ever need any body work completed, look no further. I called the owner Joe, on Saturday and was able to leave my car and keys after hours. Joe and I communicated over the entire weekend and told me my car would be ready on Monday. I get there on Monday and my car looks like it's normal self. If you're into cars and have time to spare ask Joe to show you around his shop. Not only does he know what he's doing with cars, but he knows the Lou Malnatis is the best pizza in Chicago. As an engineer, I don't like to play the damsel in distress card and have changed my fair share of tires, but in a dress and heels today it was too much. Recently both of my cars got horribly vandalized with spray paint and getting keyed and wow I couldn't imagine going anywhere else to get them fixed! Disgusting people. Extremely rude. Poor quality work. I witnessed business practices that are so unacceptable that I would never take my car there. I took a car there for an estimate and although the price was in line with other estimates I heard them hang up on a vendor that was trying to collect a past due invoice. I also heard them basically tell an unsatisfied customer that they were not willing to help them with a problem. And I saw the guy's car that was complaining. He had every right to complain. This place will be out of business most likely. I would avoid it at all costs. They get an F minus in my book. read more

THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER! First off, it took them almost 2 months to get my car fixed and it wasn't even done right. My husband and I would call every 3 days and they would lie and say it's going to be ready Friday and when Friday came along the owner would say it would be ready on Monday. This would go on for almost 2 months. I had a rental car from the insurance company and they got so tired of waiting that they took my rental car back after 6 weeks. They said that Airport Auto took too long too repair my car. When we finally picked up our car we noticed that the paint job was horrible and that the bumper wasn't put on right. There was a huge gap. Not to mention instead of replacing the side of the car, he pounded it out (insurance paid for a brand new part). I brought it to the dealer and they said that Airport Auto didn't even use the right bumper for the car, to bring it back for them to redo it. I talked to the mechanic and owner and they said they'd call me immediately the next day to bring it in to be fixed. We tried calling the next day multiple times and there was no answer, caller ID works wonders.... The worst service ever!! When I got in the accident and they appraised my car they had no problem calling me and cashing that huge check from the insurance but when it came time to deliver, I got the worst run around ever. Mike the owner is the biggest BS'r ever. He would blame everything on the insurance company and lie through his teeth. I would call the insurance company and confirm what Mike said, of course it was he who was lying not the insurance company. DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!! read more

I took my car here a few months ago, i was disappointed to find that Mike was no longer running the shop. About 2 years ago i was in an accident the owner of Airport auto body, Mike was the best and was more than helpful and very empathetic with me in my horrible situation. They fixed my car to perfection and the paint job was immaculate. But when i was hit later in the year i returned to find the owner Mike had left the business, they ensured me all the work would be the same quality and i had nothing to worry about. They kept my car for almost a month and when i had gotten my car back the paint did not match and the bumper wasn't even secured to the vehicle. So i was recently in an accident and just for the hell of it i swung into get an estimate. I was over joyed when i walked in the office and saw Mike sitting at his desk, needless to say i gave him my business and just as i suspected, Mike personally made sure my vehicle was to be done flawlessly and in a timely manner. Over all, now that Mike has returned tho the business you can sleep easy at nights knowing that your taken care of and you vehicle will be flawless. read more
