Some days it's brought out within a couple of minutes, and other days I'm left waiting forever. Today I placed a mobile order and checked in at 3:13 during my 30-minute lunch break. There was a car broken down in the drive-thru, which I completely understand can slow things down. But while I was waiting, I watched multiple cars that arrived after me get their orders and leave. Some of them had several drinks and food, while I was still waiting on one large drink. After about 20 minutes, I pressed the button and told the employee I'd been waiting. She responded that, as I could see, there was a broken-down car and they were trying to go as fast as they could. I understood that, but it didn't explain why everyone else was getting served while I continued to be overlooked. I watched more orders being brought out, so I pressed the button again and asked for a refund because I had already spent almost my entire lunch waiting. Only then did someone finally bring out my drink and tell me they were refunding it. The refund didn't fix the situation. I ended up late getting back to work, and I couldn't even enjoy the drink because I'm not allowed to have drinks in my work area. My entire lunch break was wasted waiting for one drink. Another frustrating thing about this location is that they don't sell bags of ice. The Sonic on the east side and the Rosedale location both do, so I don't understand why this one doesn't. It's inconvenient when the other locations offer it. I also have to admit that by the time I pressed the button the second time, I wasn't very friendly because I was so frustrated. After that interaction, it honestly made me question whether I even wanted to drink what I was handed. That's not a feeling any customer should leave with. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location. It's frustrating because it's the closest Sonic to both my home and my job, but the service is too inconsistent to count on, especially if you're on a time limit.

When I arrived, I glanced through their menu and decided to get the "2 Hardshell Tacos" meal, with a side of rice and beans. I wanted to get one taco with chicken and one taco with beef, but I could not do that. The cashier told me that this was not allowed, and the two tacos had to have the same type of meat. Strange, I thought...I don't see why it makes any difference. Slightly disappointed, I decided on getting both tacos with beef. As I prepared to pay, I then realized that they charge a small fee for their customers who use a credit card. I was a little annoyed with this as well; so, I then decided to pay with cash. After getting a Dr. Pepper as my drink with my meal, I sat in one of their booths inside and waited for my order. The cleanliness inside was just ok. As I waited, I realized that this location does not have an internal restroom for their customers after one of their customers asked to use it. The cashier said that their restroom was outside, around the side of the building. After getting my meal, it appeared appetizing. The tacos were quite delicious, but the rice and beans were just ok. I also got some extra sauces to spice it up a bit. After departing, I noticed the restroom doors on the side of the building; They looked pretty ghetto. The outside landscaping was nicely maintained, but I was annoyed by the group of homeless people that were just camping on the grass outside this location under the trees. If I owned this business, I would ask the city to remove these individuals because they are not only an eyesore, their loitering presents a safety concern and an annoyance for their customers. It may even turn some customers away from this location as a result. Overall, the food here is pretty good, but in my opinion, this location needs to make a few improvements to deserve a higher than average rating.
