Another 2 years later in 2023 I call RKM for routine maintenance and all of a sudden my AC stops working. Over the course of a week I had 4 different techs come out including the owner. Another 1k bucks later my AC was fixed. Fast forward to 1 week ago, my AC stops working again for the 3rd time in a 6.5 years. Due to my history with RKM I decided to call another company out that did an amazing job. They thuroughly explained to me how the shortcuts that were taken installing my unit were the reasons the water drainage line was backing up and triggering a safety switch. They also showed me how during my last "routine maintenance" RKM decided not to put a basic air filter that goes in my blower/furnace. Im not willing to accuse them of purposely doing this but when you get hired for a routine maintenance and end up charging 1k to fix the problem you created it sure looks badly. I have receipts to show all of this and I should be charging RKM for the competent work that was done to fix the shortcuts and possible sabotage that came from their techs. Do yourself a favor and do a little extra research, you never know whos paying for reviews.

We've lived in our home for five years and honestly aren't sure the dryer vent had ever been cleaned. They found a massive buildup of lint--so much that it completely filled their shop vac. It was definitely overdue! They went above and beyond: cleaned the vent thoroughly, cleared the area behind the dryer, cleaned out the lint trap, and even reset the dryer's blockage indicator. When they arrived they immediately asked if I wanted them to wear the shoe protectors & explained the process. They confirmed the number of vents and showed me the cost before doing any work to make sure I was fine with the price. The actual cleaning took them about 1.5 hours. When they were done they did a walk through inspection with me to make sure nothing was wrong. They showed me before and after photos of the ducts and vents. Last year I got a new system for my house and everything went smoothly and my new system has been working great.
