Scheduling/Dispatch personnel need help. We have the Essential Homecare Plus maintenance plan; which allows us to have 2 system checkup per year, one for summer and the other winter. We schedule months ahead for these checkups between 8am and 3pm and adjust our schedule to make sure we're home. More than once we have been contacted during the scheduled time that they won't be able to make it and we have to reschedule. Not technicians fault, but put it on scheduling/dispatchers. read more

I made an pre-paid appointment 2+ months ago for a tune up today, since today was the "first available" at the time. Got a call close to the end of my appointment time slot that AirTron needed to cancel today's appointment and reschedule due to "too many emergencies", and first available is in 3 WEEKS. When I asked if that appointment would also get canceled, I was told they'd make a note...that's not very reassuring, especially with reading all the negative reviews from others experiencing the same or similar situations. read more

If I could leave a negative star review, I would. Our AC went out on June 4... and it's almost the end of June and we're waiting on AirTron to fix the issue. My main issue is their lack of communication - our system was still under warranty, the service rep that I spoke to when I made the call, said parts and labor were covered but I needed to pay $190 just for them to come out and check the system. She said they were short handed on techs (I called on a Thursday) soonest they can send someone out was Saturday, 8-12. I sat in that house for 4 hours, no AC. Tech still didn't show. Called repeatedly, rescheduled for Monday. Tech came out and said it was the motor, which would cost me $700+ just for labor, and then when I mentioned that the warranty was on it, still argued with me about the labor costs. Then they didn't have the part. We had to wait for them to order it. Part comes in, and then the next tech said that wasn't the issue. It was another part. They never called to tell me they had the part. Had to schedule another day. Now I've sat in this house since 12, and it's 6 pm and no show. And tomorrow's not looking so great either. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. I will call another company next time. This is the worst customer service experience. read more

Don't get the Essential Home Care plan with Airtron. It will be a waste of time and money. One of the perks is " prority scheduling " . ​ This is a lie. We called at 3 am on a Saturday to report our AC had gone out. They said the earliest they could get here would be Sunday between 1 - 7. Now they are telling us maybe they can come sometime Monday. We told the person from the very first call that we were leaving early Monday morning on a family vacation. This is beyond ridiculous. Don't even go with this company at all. We called to check status of our technician several times and each time asked to escalate only to be told they do not have supervisors available. Horrible experience. Guys don't ignore these reviews like I did. My AC went out and the hvac guy came and told me there was no issues with the ac and to call an electrician. Long story short there was no electrical issues and ended up calling a different hvac company and they diagnosed the problem within 5 min. One of the Worst Customer Service Experiences I've Ever Had I'm extremely frustrated with how Airtron Heating & Air Conditioning handled my recent service appointment. Our AC has been giving us problems, so I scheduled an appointment for Saturday. Since I had to attend a wedding, I made arrangements for my mother to be at the property so the technicians could still complete the job. I tried calling several times on Saturday to update them with my mother's number (since I wouldn't be available), and after eight calls, I finally spoke with someone. That's when I was told last-minute that my appointment had to be rescheduled to Sunday because they didn't finish jobs on Friday. This wouldn't have been as frustrating if I had been told sooner. Instead, my mom wasted four hours of her day sitting at my property from 1 PM to 7 PM waiting for someone who was never going to show up. I wasn't informed the appointment was canceled until 4 PM, and that's only because I called again. Still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I agreed to the Sunday appointment from 1 PM to 7 PM. My wife and I stayed home all day, expecting the issue to finally be resolved. I called twice during the day to confirm we were still on track. At 7 PM, no one had shown up, so I called again and was told there were two calls ahead of me but that a technician would still come out -- that they work until 10:30 PM. Then at 9 PM, I get a call, and instead of it being the technician, it's another rep telling me they're canceling AGAIN -- this time because it's "too hot for the techs to work," even though it's after sunset and much cooler outside. But somehow, they promise they'll definitely come Monday... during the hottest part of the day (12-5 PM)? This makes absolutely no sense, and it shows that the company is disorganized, inconsistent, and completely disrespectful of customers' time. Airtron has now: * Canceled twice * Wasted two full days of my family's time * Failed to give any meaningful updates or courtesy calls * Offered excuses that just don't hold up At this point, I no longer trust this company. This company is terrible at keeping appointments. They provide a four-hour window for appointments, such as 8 AM to 12 PM. On two consecutive occasions, they failed to show up. For the first appointment, I received a call after the window had ended, informing me that they couldn't make it that day. I had made myself available during that time, only to be left waiting. I understood it was summer and that they were busy, so I rescheduled. For the next appointment, I chose an afternoon/evening slot because I would be home from work. Once again, they did not show up and did not call. Well, they actually did call me at 10 PM while I was in bed to inform me of their absence. After being stood up twice, I requested to be the first appointment of the day when they had that very first slot open, and they agreed. However, they still did not show up for a third time. When I called to inquire, they told me that the first appointment of the day is between 8 and 11 AM. It's unbelievable! Do not use this company; they do not value their customers' time. The company charges for some visits even when you have one of their service plans. They automatically renew the contract every year and do not disclose that leaving before the end of the renewed contract will have a $50 cancelation fee. Also, many of the technicians are good completing the basic cleaning, but many also were clueless and not able to figure out what was wrong with the unit when something was wrong with it. read more

Have had airtron come out around 40 times trying to fix the humidity. It got so bad mold had been found in the attic ac unit and around the house. They continued to bandaid the problem without fixing it. 3rd party mold specialists found a leak in the second floor that they had to fix. Humidity is still just as bad and have had horrible allergy problems in the house. Probably from the mold. Airtron came out last week stating they fixed it. They set the thermostat to read -7 on the humidity so it displayed a false reading on the thermostat. I have hygrometers all over the house due to all the issues and quickly caught the scandalous "repair". Do not trust this company. Would not use them if it wasn't for warranty. read more

Airtron was the AC coming my builder (Chesmar) used. After my builder warranty expired, Airtron reached out and offered a warranty and maintenance plan which should cover bi-annual check ups and should component repairs in case something breaks (doesn't cover total system replacements). I went with this warranty for peace of mind that I could get quick service in case my AC had issues. I paid monthly (around $35 a month) for several years, and the routine check ups were fine, and the techs that came to do work were great. When I had an issue with my AC stopping suddenly and needed to finally use the repair service, however, I was informed that the next available appointment was 2 weeks from when I called. with temps in the 90s, waiting 2 weeks was going to be unacceptable. They also informed me that there was going to be some kind of fee for the repair, which I thought was already covered under my plan. Maybe if you call for service when not under a maintenance plan, they give you a faster response, but DO NOT sign up for a maintenance plan unless you're okay with waiting weeks to actually get service when you finally need to use it. read more

Last week, our AC unit stopped cooling and just continued to say "wait" on the control pad. The next morning, we called Airtron to ask that they come out and fix the AC as soon as possible. After waiting for an agent to be available, a customer service agent told us that we had been added to the schedule and gave us a window for that afternoon in which they would likely come. The representative did note that they had the right to reschedule at their convenience which seemed silly if we were already given a large window of time to wait around, but what can you do. We were told we would be given a call when the tech was on their way. Later in the afternoon, rather than receiving a call... we got a text that the technician was now available and we had 10 min to confirm we were ready for them or they would be rerouted to the next customer on the list. Luckily we saw the text in time and confirmed our availability. For the scheduling and admin portion, I'd give Airtron a 2 star. Now... for the technician.... 5 Stars. When he arrived, he was extremely friendly and asked good questions to try to figure out the issue. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it. Turns out that a power surge fried one of the parts within the unit and needed to be replaced. Even after fixing the unit though, he continued to perform a full evaluation of everything to make sure we could avoid any other issues that may surface before our next service appointment. I really appreciated how thorough the technician was and how willing he was to explain the issue to me. We will continue using Airtron thanks to the great service technicians! read more

We purchased a new unit in Nov 27-24. We had to call them out 12-8-24 because the heating went out and we went without heat for 2 days. They told us the setting were done incorrectly. 12-14-24 the opp happened, the house was over heating. Now that we are entering the dead heat of summer 5-20-25 the house is not cooling for the last 2 days. I went back and forth with Richard who is suppose to be a manager and now that's we are in the same situation with a new 6 mth old unit I'm getting the run around. Per this last call I will see if Julian another manager will return my call. But the cost of until I could've brought a used car so this is completely unacceptable. I had them come out when summer started. They cleaned it and said it was good to go. Both technicians were courteous and ensured they didn't track dirt or mud in the house. A month later the fan went out. The temps outside were 100+. They came out and said the fan was going bad and they needed to order one which would take a week because their parts are warehoused in Houston. The fan went out two days later and they said because of transportation it would take 10 days. When I called back and asked them to expedite the parts and the repair, they the two gentlemen I talked to were dismissive and stated it's the middle of summer; were busy. I called back, but this time a very kind female customer service agent said she'd see talk to her manager to see what could be done. She informed me the manager would ask to have a temporary fan installed until my parts arrived. Thank you both. It took three days but if they had asked me to wait until my parts came in, I would have gone until August 28th without air conditioning. I had a very bad experience with Airtron Houston. They installed the AC system when I purchased a new home, and it has been leaking at multiple points, both upstairs and downstairs. The service manager, Rob, is very rude. All the refrigerant leaks out in about a year. The first time, they said it was a new system and the valves could not be tightened. The second time, the technician said it could be the coil and they couldn't detect the leak because it was too small. I agreed and paid for it, but the system continued to leak. Their strategy seems to be to add refrigerant and check, then wait until the system is out of warranty. After that, they charge you for everything, even just to take a look. Don't trust anyone from this company. Be aware! read more

I pay the monthly service fee for them to come out 2x year. This last time they came out in mid June all evidence points to the fact that my line wasn't cleared sufficiently. Sometime 6-8 weeks later the ac line caused the bathroom sink to clog and ruined the wood trim in a bathroom that hadn't been used in more than a month. Since they can't say for sure when the overflow caused by the ac happened they refuse to pay for the damaged sink. Clearly on them not clearing the line sufficiently the last time. read more

They talked us into purchasing their Essential Homecare Plan in May 2024 and scheduled to come out and check our system. They canceled their appointment in May and then today canceled our rescheduled appointment for tomorrow, 6/25. They billed us $30.95 for May and $30.95 for June and rescheduled for mid July. We called to cancel our Essential Homecare Plan and they then billed an additional $50 cancellation fee and they have never set foot in our home. We are so disappointed. During an emergency need, monthly payers do not get priority and the annual service is on you to schedule each and every year. They will gladly take your money each month even if they have not completed your service in years. The potential benefit is that SOME costs are covered if they do come out, after you wait for days. The company representative could not comprehend that it is their shortage of techs as the inability to service the monthly customers, not the "summer busy season". If a company is going to continue to sign up monthly payers, they should have the techs to service those customers timely. I will not say that the service by the techs was ever unsatisfactory, but the monthly plan is a sham and a waste of money as the company will not ensure that you actually can receive service for that money. read more

Called in Feb for a spring/summer review of my system. The earliest they could schedule me was for mid July! Seriously? Five months is the earliest you can get to me? The tech came and spent a few minutes looking at the system the told me I had to give him payment for his service. No bill - just fork over the money!
