My dad had his HVAC serviced less than 2 weeks ago for the winter and Bret didn't realize that a pressure switch needed to be replaced. We don't know what was actually done for service. So instead we had to pay a different HVAC technician to come and fix it on one of the coldest days this winter. We called multiple times and left many messages with no follow up. We understand it's busy and we need their help because we aren't hvac technicians ourselves - but this isn't how to treat customers. They wouldn't appreciate their friends and family being serviced this way, so why should we?

His team did a great job protecting our house to bring out the old and bring in the new unit. They did a great job cleaning up. I'm a customer for life! During the summer, when my A/C started acting up, I gave Micah a call and he came right out. After trouble-shooting my issue he fixed the problem and we thought we were in the clear. Well, it turns out, fixing the one issue uncovered a few more (as it tends to happen). Micah was back on the job and had a stop-gap in place while he waited for new parts to come in. He was prompt, helpful, and responded quickly. He made sure we were not without A/C during some of the hottest weeks of the summer (not an exaggeration). Since this issue I had them inspect my furnace just before winter. Todd advised us well on the replacement units and installed both very professionally. Since then, he's been advising us on the annual failures of our 1979 air conditioner, always managing to repair, rather than replace, up until this year when there really was no recovery. Again Todd advised on a cost and energy efficient unit (Bryant) with the work being done in the middle of a torrential downpour. Extremely responsive on both planned and emergency visits (his wife handles scheduling I believe) and an all around nice guy.

I had an uneasy feeling about these guys right out of the gate, even the initial phone call didn't go well. Then I come to find out the technician called the wrong number to verify the appointment. That Sinking Feeling amped up when the technician told me he's been doing this since December. Long story short, the technician kept telling me that this part went bad, and that part went bad,and with each part my estimate was going up $500. After about four hours the estimate was at $1,500 and he still didn't figure out exactly what was wrong with the unit,and now he was calling for reinforcements. That's when I told him he needed to leave, I have a friend who used to work in the field, he came over and had the air conditioner running within 20 minutes,granted, he did have to go and buy a new motor which he installed and one or two other small parts. My part bill was about $250. It's a shame that they send these guys out with little or no experience to try to diagnose a problem,and then the company feels the need to bilk their customers. He was professional and arrived on time. However, when I got a quote to install a Nest thermostat it was $200 for maybe 20 minutes of work. I got a quote (attached) for Aprilaire 500 bypass Humidifier installed to replace an existing one that's failing and I was told the unit is worth $600 and it would be $1170.00 to install (which included a 5% discount if I bought a service agreement with them). I said it seemed a little high so I got more quotes. So far two reputable places quoted $550 and $425 installed and the unit is $230 at most online. Update: so my Aprilaire 500 humidifier was installed by Green Air Care and everything was great with them (see review). They even fixed a couple quirks with my system. Per Brian's Heating & A/C's request I did call Brian's to see why their quotes were so high but they were unavailable so I asked for an email response. If their response email makes sense this may be updated but $600-900 an hour for labor seems really high to me. As with all large projects I'd recommend getting multiple quotes if time allows but the quotes I received from this business were a little outrageous in my opinion.

We had two other HVAC company's quote on this job, they didn't come close to the perfect set-up as what Brian's did.
