Been coming here for years. The lady who usually does them today was very rude. She tried to appoint me to someone else (who I don't go to because she previously messed up my brows) . Then when i asked her to do them she rushed , talked over my face the whole time , pushed my face instead of asking me to turn my head and was very rude and messed my brows up. I will not be coming back. This service isn't free , i pay my money & if they don't feel like doing my eyebrows I'll go elsewhere but don't do them with an attitude and mess them up on purpose. read more

It's amazing, fast, and cheap. Don't call, because they do not make appointments. Definitely my new go to threading spot in Philadelphia.

This place is a decent place for threading, especially considering there is no where else to go. Out of the three girls who work there on a normal basis, two are excellent and I would really recommend them. One, however, particularly the one who works sometimes on weekends and is the shortest of the three (I don't know her name) is absolutely horrible! She is harsh in her threading, doesn't listen to the customer and is not very diligent. Despite my request for waxing because my skin was very responsive to threading, she forced threading on me and now my skin around my eyebrows and upper lip and neck is severely bruised and cut. I would not recommend her at all!! She should listen to the customer and do what they are requesting as opposed to doing what she thinks is best and that to in a very harsh way! I loved Aisha's until this past bad experience. I will still keep going to them requesting the awesome girls only because I have no other choice and because the other two is actually decent! read more

I was in town for a wedding and hadn't had the time to get my eyebrows and upper lip done before coming in to Philly. Did a quick Google/Yelp search and I was here within 10 mins. I loved the care and service I received. My brows looked perfect, my upper lip had no trace of hair and I was a happy camper! I wish I could remember the name of the lady who helped me, I think her name started with an M. Great job. Good service but they started sexually discriminating against their customers. A month ago I'd have given this place a glowing 5 star rating. I'm a guy who has been coming here for over a year now on a monthly basis. I get the basic threading service to clean up the top and bottom of my somewhat bushy eyebrows. The service has always been excellent and among the most pain free threading work I've experienced. The salon is clean and sanitary. At $11 it's a solid deal. I've referred at least 3-4 female friends here over the past 12 months. However, I was just told in the last few weeks that they would no longer be accepting male customers due to "religious" reasons. I told them this was sexual discrimination but they didn't seem to agree even though refusing a customer service due to their gender is the very definition of it. They basically said, "sorry and please don't come back again." I can totally understand if this was some intense massage or weird waxing service, but this is basic threading where they actually never even touch the customer the whole time. Very unfortunate. For the 99% of you reading this who are women, this won't affect you at all and you probably don't care. But just be aware of this bizarre policy and feel free to spread the word about it. read more

OMG YES. Thank you, Yelpers for introducing to me to such a game changer. It can happen - you go to a new city or your regular shop girl leaves and you end up with a set of eyebrows that belong to two different faces. And then you look a mess. Not here. They actually listen to how you want your eyebrows and give you the exact shape you've been looking for. Highly recommended; if there is a wait, it usually goes by pretty quickly. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! (Please tell me how this is the #1 threading place and #2 brow shaping place in Philly) I might as well have just shaved my eyebrows off. Tried this place for the first time on Saturday. Walked in around 5 pm to 8 girls waiting, 2 women threading and no chairs to sit in (no biggie). I waited an hour only to have my brows be completely screwed up (plus it hurt so much more than usual). I've never been so horrified after a threading job. Now I'm going to have to wait a few months before there's even any hope of fixing them; luckily ABH and brow fillers are a thing. read more

I'm hella picky about my eyebrows. I try to find a lady that a trust and stick to her. I feel like I found it with Suzanne. I came in, it wasn't packed so I got worked on immediately. I was pretty explicit about what I wanted-- a slight arch and not to make them too thin. She listened to my concerns and thoughts and offered suggestions. I also came in with two different eyebrows. She stared at them and said "yeah, they're not even close to being similar" haha, truth. she cleaned up my brows and left one to grow so that later they can be reshaped. Will come back! read more

The lady was nice enough but I asked her to wax my upper lip, which I do all the time, and I definitely now have a burn on both sides of my upper lip. Not sure why, because this has never happened at any other place. They use a cream wax, maybe it was too hot. read more

Recently tried to walk-in, while there was no wait, and was turned away because I was a guy and "the woman who handled the guys quit recently." I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and I can definitely tell the difference between a skilled threader and an amateur. Aisha is awesome! I am picky about my brows and she respected that I wanted to keep them bigger! She did not try to up-sell me even though I could have totally used more than my eyebrows done. As someone who's very particular about my eyebrows, I was super nervous about coming here. I moved to Philadelphia about 2 months ago, and haven't had my eyebrows done in probably 3 months. They don't grow fast, but I'm so picky about who does them that I've been afraid to try a place (and I don't do waxing). The Salon is a few blocks from my job and had decent reviews, so I decided to try it. I walked in during my lunch hour and was seated immediately. I explained what I wanted (eyebrows cleaned up, keep my shape and length, don't take too much out the middle), and that's exactly what she did! Sorry, I didn't get her name. There were two women working. My eyebrows look so great. And she showed me the first one after she threaded it to make sure I liked it, which I really appreciated. I'm so happy I found this place. I get my eyebrows done about once a month, and so I'll definitely be back! $11 plus a $3 tip is definitely worth it here! read more

I found this place on yelp and read many of the reviews. So I decided to try this place about a month ago (yes, I know I'm late on the review). They do listen to how I like my brows and I understand how I want them to be threaded. They do a really great job and both of the girls that typically do the threading I've been to both of them and they have done my brows perfectly every time I go. I live in the East Falls area and I will drive to Center City just so that they can thread my eyebrows. When you find a good place you stick with it no matter how far you have to drive. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to get their eyebrows threaded. read more

Aisha's is generally great - BUT there is one lady in particular here who is incredibly slow and painful (wish I had gotten her name, but forgot to ask). In the end she does a decent job with shape but the process is excruciating - she literally gets one hair at a time. Threading is supposed to be quick yet precise. The same lady is also very dull/lifeless and difficult to understand. If you go, request Aisha herself. Also - I was denied the student discount because I'm a grad student at Penn. When I showed my ID, the lady (the slow painful one) said the discount only applies to undergard students. I've come to this place several times in the past and never had an issue with this before - but just something to look out for. read more

I've been to Aisha's threading salon a bunch of times and have always left feeling satisfied and well groomed. I've never waited more than a few minutes to get seated, though I tend to go during weekdays when I have the time. Though it does hurt a little, they are definitely as gentle as possible and it's really more just a stinging feeling. They always ask you if you are happy with the shape in the middle of it. They are 11 bucks without student ID so ends up being about 13-14 with tip, very affordable! They take card also so that's a nice plus. The one thing is that a few times I've been there right when the place is supposed to open and they tend to open about 15-20 minutes late. A little annoying but I can deal with it for a good experience! read more

Having been getting my eyebrows done for years ritually I have NEVER had a job done worse than at this place. They made my brows absolutely asymmetrical and when I called the lady out on it they literally blamed it on my eyebrows. Yet of all the times i have gotten my brows done they have never NEVER looked like this. They even refused to give me any sort of discount after they literally fucked up my eyebrows that I will now have to cover with makeup and wait minimum a month for the hair to grow back so I can get them done correctly. I am never going back here again and would not recommend to anyone. read more

This place ain't fancy but they do a good job. They're probably the most affordable place to get your eyebrows threaded in the city. And it was probably the first place I've been where the thread hasn't snapped a hundred times, so I feel like they either use better quality thread or have better technique. Also she took time shaping and trimming my eyebrows and showed me what she had done on one eyebrow before moving to the next. They should have a customer loyalty card :) read more

I will keep this short - if you want to do your eyebrows - THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!!! Azra did a fab job. I have not had such good looking eyebrows in the last 6 years. So A++. Why I took off the 2 stars. I had to get waxing done as well - that's a NO NO. It burnt my skin plus the redness did not leave my skin for almost a week. It was awfully painful. :( The place is neat and very well maintained. If you want waxing or facials - you have to take appointment. Threading - appointment is not required. Fantastic! I was a threading virgin when I walked in, but I was desperate after skin creams left my skin too sensitive for waxing. I had been warned that threading is pretty painful and managed to forget a preliminary ibuprofen - turns out it wasn't needed! The entire procedure was practically painless and with a perfect result. I will go pretty far out of my way to get here because it's affordable, a great experience, and they know how to shape my eyebrows evenly and trim them without making them too thin. Hate them! I have been having my eyebrows threaded for over a decade and they are the worst that I have ever been to. I have a scar in one of my eyebrows form when I was a child that was always hidden away. Now it is front and center on my face. I only tried them because they were close to my job and had good reviews, figuring that the convenience was worth paying twice what I usually do. Never been so wrong and so disgusted. read more

These chicks are pretty good. I've been all over the city to get my brows threaded and these ladies are in the top 2 places I would recommend. They listen to what you want and are careful when they are threading... I don't get a headache afterwards or get those tiny scabs from people threading too hard. They also don't ask the annoying as shit question "Do you want your upper lip done?" when they are finished with your brows. read more

For the price I find they are a few dollars extra but I think it's definitely worth it. Plus, if you are a student, mention it and they will give you a discount! It was my birthday, so naturally, I decided to treat myself and get my eyebrows done. I chose Aisha's based on their Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, I can't agree with most of the Yelpers. I arrived at the salon when they supposedly opened at 12, but the salon was still pitch back. I waited a few minutes outside and one of the owners finally arrived. There was a marathon that day, so I understood that getting around was a pain. As for the service, they were gentle and did a good job shaping my eyebrows - but I've definitely had more attentive threaders in the past. Also, the lady who was threading my eyebrows definitely should have washed her hands beforehand. They smelled of something rather pungent, masked with hand sanitizer and baby powder. Yuck! Finally, I tried paying with my card (which was another reason why I chose Aisha's), but their machine decided to go faulty and told me to go to the atm next door. Once again, I understand that life happens, but I definitely left the salon disappointed. read more
