This place is very clean, right off of rt. 30 across from dyers and close to Parkesburg, coatesville and gap. The family was very nice, and helpful with menu items. They have a normal pizza and pasta menu as well as a Mediterranean menu! I was so excited to see kibbeh and kabob on the menu. My daughter got the chicken Parm and the food was SO GOOD! Lovely food, lovely people. We ordered take out as an introduction to a new food adventure for my parents. The mixed grill and lamb kebabs were delicious. Loved the grilled veggies and the delicious pita. We also had a really zesty zippy sumac dressed fattoush salad that I could eat every day this summer. Aish as saraya and rice pudding for dessert were light and really nice. The folks inside were kind and offered to help me carry my food out. I highly recommend! I had the chicken chimichanga off the lunch special menu.. It was very good. I can also recommend the frozen raspberry margarita. It was a hot day, but eating under the large tent was quite comfortable. Very friendly service, they were attentive, but not overbearing. Nice big serving of chips and salsa, and they provided me with very delicious hot dipping sauce at my request. Make sure you checkout the desserts. They make their Churros as soon as they are ordered, so very fresh. I almost ordered the server-recommended fried ice cream, but she told me it was pretty large portion, so I went with the housemade flan. It was unlike any flan I had previously..less custard-like, and more cheesecake consistency...but oh so good... Top-three flans I ever ate. I do not know what the three ladies ate who were sitting across the restaurant from me, but they were raving about everything they ate. I will return. read more

Went down hill since it opened. At first we really liked it but since then not so good. The food is too salty and the service slow and non attentive. When we were there last on a Saturday evening around 6pm, dining room was less than 1/3 full and seemed to be more staff than customers which probably added to the slow service. My wife asked about the Al Pastor Tacos as she wanted to know if their "special secret sauce" was spicy. The server said no it's mild. Well for my wife it was too spicy ( and salty ) to eat. I enjoy hot food and although it wasn't too hot for me, I did think it was too hot to be called mild. I had the Carne Asada Tacos with a side of their Habanero sauce. Again, the Carne Asada was too salty. Such a shame, we won't return. read more

Stopped in for dinner and was really underwhelmed. The chips were going stale and the salsa was just not good. My crunchy burrito was mostly rice and beans and very little chicken, the majority of said chicken was at the last third of the burrito. Aside from the fact that it was just average in flavor it was $16, and that is a ridiculous amount for an average burrito that was mostly rice and beans. The quesadilla was good other than the cheese being really chewy, but it was $15 and while it was good we've had much better ones for less. I don't have a problem with expensive food when the quality matches the price, but this didn't even come close. Old style Italian charm with a full bar in the back and take-out beers too. The bruschetta with balsamic glaze was amazing! The main dishes were also delicious and super fresh and homemade. I had been keeping my eye on this place to open.. I was excited to have a place with a bar. My first time there I felt the place may have gotten 3 1/2 stars, the place was too bright, but my salmon salad was so good.. the second time there I was disappointed. I again got the salmon salad. It was made with iceberg lettuce, and the salmon was almost white in color, in my mind probably frozen. I would like it if better quality ingredients were used. I thought for a new place opening they would have good quality food stuff, I like to frequent places that cater to those of us wanting to eat good quality healthy food, not just high fat calorie laden foods. My wife and I grew up in Texas and know authentic Mexican food. It has been difficult finding anything close in this area. We tried here as a recommendation and are so glad we did! I judge good Mexican food by the enchilada sauce. If it is a brown gravy or tomato-based I know it isn't real Mexican food. This is the real deal and everything is fresh and delicious! Salsa is perfect. The name hasn't changed because issues with the liquor license but make no mistake this is the best Mexican food in the area. Staff is very friendly and fast. I ordered for take-out a shredded beef fried chimi, what I got was a soggy ground beef burrito that did not impress me at all, I could make a better burrito myself. After reading the other reviews I'm surprised I had a bad experience. In all fairness to them, I did stop on a Monday night after work around 6pm. Still, I was the only person in the restaurant when I arrived and the service was not good. Once the waitress took my order and delivered my drinks, I didn't see her again until I had been finished with my food and drink for about 10 minutes. The person that delivered the food from the kitchen seemed confused and had difficulty putting the plate on the table, she seemed worried she would spill it. I got the Carne Asada tacos which had bland flavor and were overpriced. I wanted to get some hot sauce to add some flavor but since the waitress never checked on me I was unable to. The margarita was good but certainly not $12 good. There are much better places to get Mexican food in the area, and these alternatives are much cheaper with better food and drinks. I was hoping this place would be good since it's on my drive home from work, but I don't think I'll be stopping again. read more

I'm so happy with AJ's! We live a mile down the road and haven't been disappointed yet. The food is great, the service is great and their drink options do not disappoint either. At first I thought they were a bit pricey but after frequenting here more and more I definitely think it's priced fair. The seafood pasta is amazing as well as the margarita pizza - they make their own sauce which I absolutely love. My family and I place large takeout orders often and they've never messed them up and everyone is always VERY happy (hard to say sometimes with my family!) lastly, as a non meat eater (I do eat fish) they always accommodate any request I have and the daily additions to the menu (especially soups!!) are incredible. I agree off to a great start for a new restaurant. Staff was attentive, food was delicious. We had the garlic knots, and Margherita pizza with broccoli rabe on the side. Broccoli rabe was a bit small for price but otherwise their pizza was good. We went w another couple who got pizza and pasta, which was delicious as well. It needs 2 improvements: (1) our food all come out at different times so they need to work on their timing and (2) work on the lighting. I have been here two times. I was satisfied both visits with food and service. The cheesesteaks and sandwiches are large. I had a chicken parm sandwich my last visit and was great. My girlfriend had a calzone which was the personal size, still large as well. She enjoyed it. Lastly, we had cannoli at the end which were excellent as well. Finally had an opportunity to try a few weeks ago. The spicy shrimp was very good, loved the spice. The chicken parm sandwich was mostly roll. My wife had a wrap, which was good. We opted to stay away from the beer, overpriced. In general everything was good just a bit overpriced. Try signature pizza if you like the food here, bigger portions and a few $$ cheaper and the food is always hot and great tasting. They also offer BYOB. read more

Cheese steak was just ok had better. Didn't get fries they were $3.00 extra. They should consider doing a combo for 1/2 sandwich and fries. The roll was big so i'm sure others would like a smaller sandwich and have a side. Typical pizza shop restaurant (bolis, calzones, etc.) menu. Friend got a chicken cheese steak and it was the wafer/style chicken not real chicken meat. Disappointing for the price should use real chicken breast meat. Nice concept with bar in the back but didn't see a drink menu or any specials (HH) offered. Needs some tweaking on the menu and execution - no pickles or chips on plate with cheese steak either! read more
