Service was acceptable. Plenty of tables and a bar that fits about 20-25 ppl. Clean. Sandwich was odd but good. Conveniently located.

Very cool concept of a restaurant being in a bar. Lots of cool signs all over the walls. Waitress was nice but service took a very long time. Food took at least 30 minutes to come, apparently kitchen was backed up but it didn't seem like there were that many people there. The table behind us sent their food back, unsure what happened there but that's why the kitchen was backed up. Potato skins came out first. They were kinda small, tasted alright. The cheesesteak was really good, it was steak strips, I added onions to it as well, came with a bag of chips. If you get cold easily dress warm, it is a little colder especially if sitting by the window.

Great variety and great flavors on a bar food menu. The place is amazing. Hoping more people come on different days not just on weekends. This place is perfect to have next to new hotel in intercourse. Our food was great and service was flawless. Great value easy off street free parking. Great ambiance.

Amazing food with an amazing atmosphere. If you love Cars, great food, and great service this is the place to come!! When we come visit intercourse again we are surely coming back!!

The dining room has booths and table seating with tile floors and high pitch ceiling with windows for natural light. The breakfast offerings include eggs, omelets, pancakes, French toast, and oatmeal. The lunch/dinner offerings include sandwiches, burgers, subs, seafood, salads, soups, chili, quesadillas, fried foods, pasta dishes, meatloaf, turkey dinner, chicken dinners, roast beef, pork dishes, and desserts. They offer daily specials too including weekday breakfast & lunch specials I stopped by Ark House on a rainy afternoon. I arrived here and the place wasn't too busy after the lunch rush. I was seated in a booth and given a menu to look at. I requested an ice water and ordered the Shrimp Parm with Spaghetti ($14.99 plus tax) with choice of one side (chose mac & cheese) and garlic toast. The food came out in 12 minutes after I ordered. The portion of food was good which was comprised of 8 breaded jumbo shrimp topped with red sauce & melted cheese with a side of soft cooked spaghetti with a sweet meat sauce. The mac & cheese (orange) was very dense and rich. The thick slices of garlic toast were soft and buttery. After I was done, the check was brought over which was $15.89 with tax and before tip. I paid at the front register. Overall, the food I had was fantastic and I was a bit torn whether to choose a pasta dish or a traditional country homestyle meal. The shrimp parm was very tasty and hot as was the mac & cheese. The service was friendly and adequate. I was glad I stopped here instead of going to a smorgasbord restaurant, which was very packed and pricey. The meal I had at Ark House Diner was pretty reasonable.

At first we weren't sure what to expect from reading the menu but let me assure you, everything is made with LOVE. Iykyk. We ended up ditching our reservations at some bougie restaurant to come back here a second time during our stay. The ambiance is cozy, clean, & minimalist. The Amish people are in a lane of their own when it comes to quality. They just nail everything across the board. Might I add that our waitress Amanda was the dearest of souls and her Bible verse attached to the receipt imprinted a memory for me and my husband for all of time.

We were traveling through on a trip, and didn't know where to stop for dinner. This place got great reviews and I see why! We are from NC, so we had lots of questions about the food. I tried the ham balls and had pasta salad and broccoli salad, and my husband had chicken croquettes with mashed potatoes. They don't skimp on portions, we had so much food left over! For dessert we had Shoo Fly Pie, the waitress was funny as she described it as "boring". It was delicious, but she was right, the flavor was "boring". Overall, you could tell that the food was mostly made from scratch. I would definitely go back if ever in town and would highly recommend this true Amish/Dutch restaurant. Best service and food you'll ever receive!

You know those meals that are so darn delicious that days later your still thinking about it?…read more Well this was that meal!! OMG. In a recent visit to Lancaster I did some searching online for places to eat and followed the recommendations to the Horse Inn. Sooo happy we did!! The food was amazing. My husband says it was the best shrimp and grits he's ever had! My steak tips were equally as yummy. The sauce was out of this world good!! The fries!! Jesus what was that sorcery ?? YUMMMM. Hats off to the owners and chefs! Only bad thing is we don't live close by and we can't go back soon. But we will be back!! Special mention to our wonderful fun server, Luis, who made the experience even better for us! Give that guy a raise. THANK YOU!!

But awesome all the same! For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us! I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger... I have heard that this is a great burger... and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac - just way better ingredients - it has to be the sauce they put on it... Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn't fall apart). The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup... we did ask for extra bread... enough said. I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.
