He was very friendly however, very soft spoken so it was a bit difficult to hear what he was saying. However, he was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Also, the owner came and greeted us at the table and ensured that we did not need anything else so that was cool. The food was decent. Nothing really to brag about. What drew me to Johnny's was the fried oysters. They looked amazing on IG. However, when I received them the portion size was very small and it did not look as appetizing as pictured. However, the seasoning was great. I also ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was perfectly cooked along with the eggs and had great flavor. My friend ordered the pancakes which she enjoyed. The only people that really had great hospitality was a women who I would assume was a manager, she checked us more than our waiter and a bartender who brought over our drinks. As far as the ambiance, it's a beautiful restaurant very spacious. Good for date night, celebration or just a casual dinner. There is also a nice outdoor area but unfortunately it was pouring when I went. I enjoyed my drink the strawberry suntan, it was light and refreshing on the sweeter side. As far as the food, it was pretty good. I loved the featured corn soup on RW menu and the corvina was pretty good, it could have used a bit more seasoning but salt and pepper fixed that. I also did enjoy the lemon cheesecake although the outer sides of it had a "refrigerator" taste. I would go back and maybe try outdoors to hopefully offset the weird "unwelcome" energy I received during my first visit.

We were generously hosted here by friends for a birthday celebration! (Sep 2026). The bar and indoor seating felt dark and intimate, yet open enough for our semi-casual get-together. We chose a curved booth among the tables. There's outdoor seating in back, too. The beverage list is creative and fun. We loved the sweet smooth non-alcoholic Classic Espresso Martini. A bourbon-y tart bitter sweet Paper Plane, of bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino Quintessential bitters, and lemon. And a dramatic balanced potent Wild Turkey 101 Smoked Manhattan, presented in a wooden chest full of richly aromatic smoke. We had a sweet non-alcoholic Peachy Keen, lightly smokey and lightly bitter peach, honey, and lemon, with orange bitters. At least five of the regular cocktails have non-alcoholic versions, and their Spirit-Free menu has six more. The appetizers and mains are so deliciously savory! Their Ploughman's Son charcuterie was varied and generous, with sturdy flavorful shaved jamon, a thin-sliced tangy salami, chunks of a dense orange medium-bold cheese, crisp grilled bread, and a deep maroon three-berry jam. We added a luscious pillow of buttery burrata. The vegan Mezze Platter had a spread of simple hummus and chickpeas with lightly roasted tahini dressing. Roasted Beet Salad was pieces of sweet clean red and gold beets with citrus chunks, lightly dressed with white balsamic. And a generous hot cast-iron pan of my Spirit-Vegetable: pork-bellied, sweet-salted sesame-vinaigrette-ed, sriracha-aioli-ed Crispy Brussels Sprouts! I aspire to be cultivated away from bitterness to sweetness, as Brussels sprouts were by Hans van Doorn in the '90s, "first" bacon-y spicy roasted by Momofuku's David Chang around 2004, and called "trendy" by 2012. (Let's see how trendy I am in 20 years :-) From the child's menu, we chose a lightly-mayo-ed grilled-cheese on lightly toasty light bread, with a tall cone of hot crispy, thin fries. We all dove into the fries, which were kindly shared :-). The Braised crumbled-Duck Bolognese was rich with Boursin cheese and parmesan, over long thin very-slurpable capellini-like black-pepper noodles, dressed with a little greenery. Crispy Rockfish was oven-roasted with fresh bright cherry tomatoes, under a light complementary miso beurre blanc. The half-rack of Smoked BBQ Ribs were tenderly grilled to a thin crust of Sagamore Old-Fashioned sauce, perfectly done with just a little bite remaining, the way I strive for at home, with a crunchy side of bright apple-fennel slaw. For the last here, I saved one of the Copper Shark Prime Cuts: Lamb Chops, with lightly-crisped fingerling potatoes, grilled broccolini, and a thin savory Housemade steak sauce. I have to tell you, the chef-recommendation of medium-rare doneness was right on. This was the most tender juicy sweet lamb I have ever tasted. Period. The cream-filled chocolate-sauced profiterole cream-puff with a candle was our birthday cake. The ice-cream espresso affogato was dreamy. The chefs are clearly caring, and dedicated to a delicious dining and drinking experience. The staff is welcoming and professional. We were well taken care of. Tucked into a cluster of shops, this restaurant is easy to find and has plenty of parking. I highly recommend The Copper Shark as something of a splurge destination for excellent dining and good service in an intimate semi-casual setting.

They offered a variety of items: deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, chicken and waffles, beef and chorizo quesadillas, sausage, home fries, and French toast. They advertised fruit salad on the menu but they didn't have it out on the day we went. For starters, the food was lukewarm. Everything could have tasted so much better if it was warm. Even when they would refill the pans, everything was still not warm enough. The restaurant was not packed but they were slow to refill for the parties that were there. When we tried to go back for a second plate, most of the items weren't replenished and the line was getting longer. It was so bad that one group asked to pay for their drinks and leave because they weren't able to get any food. My option of each item: Deviled eggs- yolk mixture was on the drier side and bland Scrambled eggs- they were ok. Just needed to be warm Chicken and waffles- it was giving "chicken tender on eggo waffle" chicken was better than the bland waffle. It also didn't help that the syrup they had was cold and thick. It made the waffle (and French toast) colder and hard to swallow. French toast- the first batch was (with the exception of being cold) perfectly cooked and dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. The refill batches were so burnt and hard to chew and they didn't bother putting powdered sugar on them. Again, the cold syrup didn't help. Beef and chorizo quesadillas- they may have been a crowd favorite because getting a second serving was hard because they kept going quickly and took a while to replenish. They just needed to be warmer and served with sour cream. Home fries- great with the peppers and onions. Just need to be warmer. Sausage- my least favorite thing because it didn't taste like Sausage. It was very dry. Sadly, the food was a epic fail. This may be a great place for cocktails because the bartender mixed our margaritas perfectly. They had a Build Your Own Margarita menu with many different flavor options. I opted for the watermelon margarita with a Tajin rim. Delicious! My friend had a pineapple mango margarita with sugar rim and he was impressed also. The hostess was able to seat two of us within 10 minutes, but then, no one checked on us for 15 minutes. There was a server working the tables around us, but they did not check in with us whatsoever. The hostess ended up doubling as the server, even though there was a server for the other tables. The hostess did not know the menu inside and out, and things had to be pointed out on the menu. Also, there was some misinformation. Some people were ordering food, while we were not allowed to order food. Why were some people able to get entrees, fries, and dessert after we were seated and had been waiting for 15 minutes? Someone got more fries after we were told we could not order food. Meanwhile, the server for the tables on either side of us kept coming out with water and taking more orders for those tables. As soon as the sliced steal was placed in front of me I knew it would not be goid. It looked unappealing. Sort of like boiled meat instead of a grilled steak. I took a bite. It was so bad I asked for steak sauce. It was still horrible. I only ate two of the pre-cut slices and told the waitress it was by far the WORST steak I ever had and said I would have wings instead. The wings were good as always. This horrible meal ended up costing me $56 for the uneaten steak dinner, horrible mojito I did not drink, and the wings. The bartender was nice. I use to bartend and if I noticed a customer not drinking a drink I made, i would have asked if they wanted anything else, or I would have remade the drink. The bartenders were nice so I left an $8 tip . This ended up being the most expensive buffalo wings I ever had. I was exhausted after having a long work week and not having eaten breakfast or lunch so I just paid and left without complaining.
