On a recent Saturday night we had planned an outing to a favorite restaurant in the same strip mall as El Patio...and when we arrived at 6:30 there was a 45 minute wait. So based on Yelp reviews, we decided to try El Patio. When we walked in, we were a little apprehensive because no other customers were seated--not a great sign. But we decided to go for it (I was hungry!) The staff was warm and welcoming. We ordered ceviche and tamales as appetizers; both excellent. We ordered the house specialty of Paella for two (seafood only). The menu warns to allow 45 minutes for the made from scratch Paella--ours took 40 min. It was delicious and more than enough for two people. By the time we left (about 8pm) the restaurant was about a 1/3 full. Perhaps the price point which is somewhat higher than neighboring restaurants is why, but I felt prices were reasonable for the excellent meal delivered. We will return soon. read more

Great Peruvian Food and nice authentic intimate atmosphere. Portions are very large and their Rotisserie Chicken and Fries was awesome with white rice and the flavorful green sauce is the bomb! The boy ordered the fried fish there was enough for 3 people with great flavor and tenderness. Daughters had the steak and egg so so good. Wife had the fried rice with chicken wow! Venessa our waitress was very attentive and beautiful to boot, great customer service. We are from out of town and have visited here for the sixth time and they have not disappointed. Horrible customer service.. specially from MIRIAN who seems to have a attitude for the simplest to go order BUT to be fair the food is good that is if you are lucky to get your order! I've called numerous times in different occasions and they seems to want to force you to buy lunches or dinners as opposed to their chicken family deal which they sell but only when convenient for them I suppose. This is the last time I try and order from this place and I will never recommend them! Had me wait a hour to order! Once I called Back I am told that they sold out of chicken yet a hour before they weren't even "open" is unbelievable and a waste of time! This place use to be good but the staff is really hurting the business and the experience. If you don't like your job quit already and do something else because the staff is lacking customer service big time. read more

I've thought about going there many times, probably every time I'm weak and go to Bacalao for roast pork I consider going into El patio. It is just a couple of doors down and finally this month I did. And I'm so glad I didn't cave into my cravings for roast pork. El Patio is a sweet little place that has the homey family run feel. I've only eaten lunch there, but what lunches! The rotisserie chicken lunch special is so huge that I didn't need to eat dinner that night. The soup they serve with it is amazing! A friend and I also split a ceviche that had the perfect balance of acid, unlike what I've gotten at other restaurants in town which seem to live by the motto "more citrus is better, no matter how you pucker". This last week I went back and had the tamales, where are light fluffy and filled with flavorful chicken. Also, the chorizo and egg is a delight as well. I'm dying to go back for dinner and have the paella. Do yourself a favor, skip Bacalao this week and have dinner at El Patio, you'll be happy you did. read more

Yummy. Cute little mom and pop place. Everything was made to order. The fish was amberjack in our ceviche. Delish. We had the chicken tamale. Huge, enough to share. We had the lamb shank special with beans, rice and yucca. They served my water in a wine glass (sweet) and our Peruvian beer was brought with a frosted glass. They have events once a month with dancing and team up with other Peruvian restaurants in the area. Our waiter was on point, attentive and very handsome. read more

This place is a hidden gem. The food is fresh and authentic. The service is friendly and attentive. We shared a ceviche, made fresh to order, and loved it. The quinoa salad was filled with onions, peppers, and dried cranberries and was perfectly seasoned. Better than I even expected. The seafood and fish soup/ stew was filled with delicious fresh seafood. It was hearty and flavorful. The owner noticed we were sharing everything and brought us two smaller bowls and a ladle. Called in to place an order and was told to come before 6pm, I arrived before 6pm to pick up the order , the front desk person initially mentioned that it was coming right up. Then a second lady came from the kitchen ten minutes later and asked what I was waiting for , I proceeded to tell her to my order. She verbatim mentioned " it's going to take some time, do you want it still or not?" No apology or acknowledgement of their mistakes. Unfortunately, such a bad impression.
