Food was pretty good, I got a volcano roll and mushroom tempura roll, along with the salmon tartare. the salmon Tartare was my favorite, it looks better in person I swear! The lighting in the restaurant is a bit dark and colorful which probably attributes to the dullness in the picture. As you can see with the blue light hitting my plate. But it had like, a mango and avocado addition to it which really was the perfect combo of flavors, highly recommend. Honestly I would give the food a 4/5. The volcanic roll was a bit too tangy for my liking and the mushroom tempura roll was very cream cheese heavy but that's not a them thing that's a me thing, I find that it doesn't matter where I go, any roll that features cream cheese is overpowered with cream cheese lol! But regardless the rolls were executed perfectly. And served on such an aesthetically pleasing dish! Look at the little tree! I'm giving them a 3 three star because I was the only person there dining in the restaurant, and it took the rolls like 30 minutes to come out and that was nothing on the chef but absolutely the waitress, I guess she got caught up in a conversation with a customer who was talking her ear off but I probably wouldn't even have complained about it if I didn't have anywhere to be but I just stopped there to kill some time, let's say about 45 minutes, and what I thought would be a quick little stop turned longer than necessary. What really frustrated me about it was instead of just apologizing about taking forever, she decided to use the fact that the volcano roll took some time to cook which is why it took soooooo long to come to my table... but the volcano roll was cold when she bought it to me, which means it was sitting for some time! I promise you people respect honesty over anything and I was just kinda annoyed that she made something up instead just saying sorry. lol like I'm not an idiot, and I don't appreciate my intelligence being played with. But other than that the food was good I just think I got the wrong things for my palate. But that's what's happens when you explore! read more

I love this place. It's in a strip mall and the inside reflects that a bit but the food and service are great. It's hard to find friendly and attentive service but they have both here. If you are in the mood for sushi or hibachi, this is a MUST have! The hibachi has generous portions, and comes with a delightful appetizer that blew my mind. Their sushi menu has all of the classics you could want, with plenty of incredibly innovative rolls as well! Highly recommend Aji Sushi in owings mills! First of all, it's BYOB. Free of charge!!!!!!!! The staff was super friendly. I was so impressed with the food presentation, it was immaculate. Also, It's a cute date spot with the led light inside, or even good with the friends and family. My friend got the sashimi dinner on the ice plate and was beautifully presented. I got some sushi the toro is the best, it was like butter that melt in my mouth. So so so good and definitely worth that price. My girlfriend had some roll look like a beautiful garden plate. Everyone got complimentary Japanese cheesecake at the end. Over all, we had a great dinner, will definitely be back. read more

I try to avoid sushi that uses imitation crab in its rolls. Basically cheap filler but premium price. I specifically picked rolls that did not include "crab stick" but most came with it anyways. Will most likely avoid this restaurant in the future. There are a few other local sushi restaurants that have better quality for similar price. read more

Was there last week ordered a California roll,shrimp nigiri spicy kani salad and tuna tartar. When I went to pick up the food the girl told me she gave me extra tuna tartar and when I brought it home there was not extra tartar and it was not spicy like other places I have had in the past it was actually sweet. The spicy kani salad was not spicy at all. The California roll was a very small order for 35 dollars worth of food it was just sub par. I really wanted to give a good review as I really wanted to try this place. Maybe I will try again at a later time. I love sushi and I am always wanting to try new places. read more
