I am shocked it has taken me years to finally try Nanami esp when I used to eat sushi once a week when I lived in NYC. What a great location right on the water with plenty of outdoor seating. We tried 5 different veggie rolls: tempura yam, oshinko, cucumber, avocado, and the veggie roll with the most interesting combo of tofu and cream cheese and crunchy onions on top! It was so yummy and came out so quickly! We also shared the edamame and some lychee sake. I love how easy it was to order and pay - great service. I will be back!!!

    Sushi and Sashimi Boat A!

Went with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day this year! We were nervous because they didn't take reservations, but we went around 7 and were immediately seated. We also got to sit at the elevated tables by the window where you take your shoes off and sit on pillows which was really unique! I ordered the hot jasmine tea which was warm and comforting especially on such a cold day, and we got the chicken katsu which was crunchy and deliciously savory with the sauce that came with it. We also had the miso soup, which was just the right amount of salty and warmed us up too. The main star was the Sashimi and Sushi Boat A that we got. With our apps, this was more than enough food for two people, and came out in a giant boat. The sushi and sashimi both tasted very fresh and delicate, with our favorites being the yellowtail and tuna. If we weren't so stuffed we definitely would've gotten some more a la carte after! Prices generally felt reasonable to us, with the sushi boat at $65! There was a bit of a wait for the food to come out, but with it being especially crowded for Valentine's Day it was understandable. The view of the water from the window is beautiful and makes up for it too. We definitely want to visit again!

Naomi Café has pretty good sushi. sushi and sashimi platter B is definitely enough for three people maybe even four people if you add an appetizer. Service was very quick. They brought out the sushi a lot faster than I had anticipated. Inside the restaurant, it's very cozy. Next to the windows are some seats where you can sit cross legged.

Nanami consistently delivered great experiences during our many visits. The food is always fresh, our go-to orders are California roll, shrimp tempura roll, vegetable and shrimp tempura, shumai, gyoza, miso soup. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great value. Customer service can be hit or miss, the location offers stunning views; take advantage of the outdoor seating when you can. I've tried the chicken tatsuta-age and nabeyaki udon but found them lacking. Overall, it's a reliable spot for sushi lovers in Fells Point. Check it out!

    Gyoza Shrimp Appetizer

Nanami is one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. It's located directly next to the water in Fells Point so the views are beautiful. The food is absolutely delicious. We started with the shrimp gyoza which was tasty and not overly fried. The sushi was the star of the show; we ordered a spicy tuna roll and added cream cheese and a flaming dragon roll which literally comes out over a flame. The fish was fresh, the sauces were delicious, and the rolls were overall super flavorful. The service was quick, too! I will absolutely be back (maybe even every week - it was that good).

I've been wanting to try this sushi spot for months, and I happy I finally did! Located right beside the water in the heart of Fells Point, this is a great spot for date, or lunch with friends. Food: I'm a sushi lover, but now that the weather is beginning to cool down. The smoked eel over warm sushi rice and radishes has me ready for sweater weather. The eel is perfectly cooked, the sauce is an umami bomb that will leave you wanting more. The pickled radishes are crunchy and tangy so it will cleanse you pallet. My friend ordered an assortment of sushi, I tried the fatty salmon and a shrimp tempura and eel roll. I will definitely return to have this meal again. Maybe even try something new! Service: Service here is great! I had difficulty making a decision because everything on the menu is tempting to a sushi lover like myself. Thankfully, my waitress recommended the smoked eel. As I stated earlier.... it was amazing! So when in doubt, ask a waiter! Ambiance: I sat outside which overlooks the water. Inside there are booths by the windows that require you to take off your shoes before you are seated. Want to keep your shoes on? No problem, they have regular tables available. Overall: The sushi here is fresh and the plating is beautiful every time. The best sushi in Fells Point!

If I were only rating on the quality of the food, my rating would be a 5/5 - so delicious!! The reason I am at a 4 is due to the service, sadly. A few things went wrong with our service: we were not given water, our food took 45+ minutes to come out, and they forgot a roll (ending in a mild but friendly argument, lol). I think this place is extremely popular and delicious (for good reason), but perhaps the staff are overworked and maybe they need to hire one or two more servers, especially during traditionally busy times!

TLDR is that my friend called this his "favorite sushi restaurant in Baltimore". Nanami has so much going for it - it's in a great location, they have sizeable, creative, and well made sushi rolls, it's low key but still a nice night out, the seating on the side is unique, and the beer cans are ginormous. We liked everything we ordered, the prices were very reasonable especially for a sushi joint in fells point, and the service was prompt and courteous.

    Amanda Z.

Namani is low key one of the best and most consistent sushi places in Baltimore. This place has a great central location right next to Vino so wine can be had before or after your meal, but Namani also has a great sake and beer selection (not to mention champagne by the bottle so I that's always a win for me) You can sit at the bar and watch you sushi be made or enjoy the Kotatsu tables (and with the traditional seating you will have to take off your shoes). They also have regular tables in the middle of their space. But no matter where you sit you will get great service. I have made my way through most of the sushi menu, trying a new roll every visit and I have never been disappointed. (get the fatty Salmon!!)

We got edamame, hot sake, and the spicy sushi combo. The tuna roll was really fishy, I thought the conch was really tough and the California roll was ok. The edamame was small but decent. Sake was ok. My partner got the teriyaki beef which was good, some of it was tough in my opinion. Small venue, friendly staff.

Great quality sushi at a very reasonable price. The restaurant itself is very plain. Tables were a little sticky. Service was fast and friendly.

Small sushi place tucked away by the water in fells point. Compared to the other sushi restaurants in the area, nanami is my go-to because I know i can get great quality and fair priced food. The inside is smaller but whenever I go they always seem to have room. When the restaurant is busy the service does seem to slow down but it is reasonable given the amount of staff they have on hand.

Eel Cucumber Roll, Amy Roll that's all I remember.
    Quin B.

Pretty good! Small for the portion size but fish tasted fresh. There is outdoor seating. Inside is super cute. There are traditional seats by the window where you have to take off your shoes. There are also some bar seats. For a small Place they definitely Make good use of space. I enjoyed the rolls. We had 7 so I barely remember them by name other than I had an eel roll, Amy roll, rainbow roll.... Something with scallop and orange...That's all I remember. It was all very delicious. I docked a star for the small portion size but otherwise good service and a very busy spot. If it wasn't so windy I would have loved to sit outside. Parking can be tough here so probably best to Uber or Lyft.

The rice is a bit undercooked and has an extra soft texture. It feels a bit too mushy, which feels unnatural. My friend ordered the avocado roll and that was not tasty at all. We asked if we can get it wrote off the bill or returned, but they said "no refund or exchanges!" lol. So we had to take this massive L for the mediocre sushi. That is all; see attached a photo.

The menu had a good variety and I feel like there's something for everyone. Raw sushi, cooked sushi (ala carte pieces, rolls); fried items, salads, soups, sashimi, pokebowls, noodles (stir fried, soup); japanese pancakes (okonomiyaki) and different beverages, etc. Quite a few times I've gotten the Deluxe Chirashi Sushi before, both dining-in the restaurant and through take-out orders with DoorDash. It was super awesome and has to be my favorite! It's a bowl of sushi rice with different vegetables (varies: kale, mixed greens, cucumber, radish/ daikon, avocado, micro greens) and colorful delicate slices of seafood (both raw and cooked: tuna/ ahi, seared tuna, white tuna/ escolar, salmon, yellowtail/ japanese amberjack/ hamachi, mackerel, shrimp/ ebi, egg/ tamago, crab stick, fish eggs/ tobiko). It's definitely like a treasure box from the sea. I get so happy when I see this dish! It's almost too pretty to eat! XD I've also tried a few different rolls like: Baked Salmon Philly Roll "Oven cooked salmon, cream cheese, avocado, spicy mayo, sweet sauce" (baked in a foil packet), Eel Cucumber Roll (Unagi), Maryland Real Crab Roll "real crab mix with Japanese mayo, old bay, avocado, cucumber crunch flakes, wrapped with soy paper, special sauce", 3 Roll Combo (Spicy or Regular: California Roll, Tuna Roll and Salmon Avocado Roll). The Spicy Cali Roll was amazing!!!I've also tried the Seafood Pancake (okonomiyaki) "made with wheat flour batter, shredded cabbage, onions, carrots, squash and okonomi sauce, Japanese mayo, on top and shrimp, clams, and mussels". What I really like is how well packed the take-out orders are! They Miso Soup is wrapped in saran wrap to make sure it doesn't spill. There's a piece of carsboard under the soups to make sure they lay flat. The Miso Soup is also very flavorful with lots of tofu and seaweed inside, not watered down with no flavor. The sushi rolls are packed in clear boxes efficiently and with good presentation! I recommend to definitely check this place out! You won't be disappointed (: I can't wait till I order sushi from here again!

I asked what to get, since the menu is *huge* and overwhelming (I'm not sure why sushi, steak and pad Thai are on the same menu?). He recommended sushi, so I got a flaming dragon roll (I forget the exact name). Anyways, everyone else also ordered and the food came relatively quickly. Now...when I tell you this is the worst sushi I've ever had. Again, I hate being negative but I have to tell it like it is! When they first presented the dish, it was cool because they serve it on fire. I knew that they had sake in the dish (probably so the flame can keep going after they take it out of the kitchen). However, when I bit into it, the sake was *extremely* overpowering. I couldn't taste anything else except the sake. It was extremely alcohol-heavy and I could not finish the dish. I asked others to try it, and they all agreed that it was too heavy. The prices were also very high for what we got. The only food I enjoyed were the appetizers, but they were still unremarkable. Overall, I regrettably cannot recommend this place. None of the dishes stood out, and the sushi was shocking.

This place was luckily right nearby with good reviews, but since it was a bit too late to eat indoors as they were cleaning up, I ordered my food to go. The woman in front seemed friendly based on the brief interaction I had with her. I went with the $22.95 Grilled Roll Combo, which included grilled tuna, salmon, and yellowtail rolls. All of this came with a pretty large container of miso soup that was better than your typical store-bought version, as it had a better depth of flavor. There was a bit less tofu than at some other places, but perhaps I just got an uneven batch. The meal came with 24 pieces in total, which was a bit shocking to my NYC brain. The various fish had different flavors and nice grill marks, with my favorites being the tuna and yellowtail, as expected. The rice was a little bit soft, but this was to be expected as there was sauce on it and it had traveled, so I am not blaming them. Outside of the rolls, there was some wasabi and some gari/sushi ginger. It was a nice and satisfying meal. Overall, it was a good deal. I can see why this place has been open for years from this dish alone. I would go again if I were back in Baltimore for a game or something and would recommend others check it out.
