Disappointed. Great location, but unfortunately poorly managed. The food was greasy and poorly presented, and the atmosphere wasn't pleasant. Not worth it..

I ordered Beef Yakisoba Served with miso soup and salad. The salad was all frozen lettuce. There was no stir fry vegetables only 2 fried potatoes. The sushi was good. Overall I was disappointed in my meal for the high price.

Quick pick up for take out. Got the Gyu roll, has flavored beef and fried onions. And also the Dragon roll, krab, avocado, cucumber and topped with a whole Eel, which I enjoyed it was crispy. I usually get extra ginger and gluten feee sauce.

22 pieces of Sashimi, plus fresh ginger, in-house freshly prepared Wasabi.

We eat here often. On March 29, 2025, we ordered the Deluxe Sashimi. 22 pieces of assorted Sashimi. All high quality sushi grade. Delicious, fresh, good sized pieces (largest we have had in central Florida). Service was on point. Waitress was attentive. All the staff are friendly every time. Highly recommend if you want good sushi, sashimi and the Teppan room. We have had all.

Hebachi and the plum wine is so good.

Where do I start.... I've been going to this restaurant for about 4yrs now and it's amazing. The service is phenomenal. I live in independence and I'm here literally 3 days a week lol I absolutely love this restaurant. Me and my husband came here when we were dating for a date and this has been our spot ever since. Food is awesome service is spectacular and did I mention how absolutely wonderful the food is... so so good. The Saturday night sushi roll is AMAZING!!!! Just order it you'll love it

Service not so good. It's like they are doing you a favor and you have to ask for your waitress, if not, you can't put in your order. Food ok, sushi rice was still warm when the gave me my order. Rice was not good and the seaweed lost its fresh crunch. Disappointed...

The environment is beautiful, staff were friendly. Food is a little expensive, and the flavor not that good. Drink was good though.

The review is based on our takeout order for 3 rolls....the Kimono Roll, the Rock & Roll, and the T-Rex Roll. The total for the above meal was $53 and the rolls are a decent size. I don't have the best experience when dining in...there is just something about the energy and service that are a little uninviting....hence the reason for takeout tonight. The eel on my roll seemed much slimier than other restaurants and the shrimp tempura was fried extremely hard to the point where it was merely the breading only in some pieces. I would love to see this restaurant succeed in winter garden village. Not sure I will be back anytime soon, but if you've never tried it, I encourage you to do so to form your own opinion. The absolute star of the show for me was the Hotate Crème Brûlée -- I genuinely could have eaten 10 of these. It really does taste like dessert in the best way, and I honestly wish I had saved it to be my very last bite of the night! The scallop crudo was another favorite. The combination of the yuzu and strawberries was so fresh and delicious and worked perfectly with the scallop. The only miss for me was the "Bomb." There was so much yolk from the quail egg that I really couldn't taste much of the caviar or steak. We ordered two, and next time I'd personally save the $30 and put it toward trying another roll instead! We also got the ceviche roll, which was honestly crazy because it somehow tastes JUST like ceviche, and the rainbow roll, which was amazing as well. Service was wonderful, and they were so kind and accommodating with my allergy, which I really appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience and I'd definitely come back -- especially for about 10 more Hotate Crème Brûlées!

I consider myself someone with a pretty discerning taste when it comes to sushi, so unfortunately,…read morethis wasn't a place I'd choose to return to. The sushi was fine, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. We started with the crispy tuna, and I felt the base was missing flavor. I've honestly had much better versions at other sushi restaurants. We also ordered the roll with fried shrimp and salmon on top. I had it not torched, as recommended. It was still very rich and heavy because of the aioli. I tried removing the aioli, but unfortunately, once removed, the roll became much less rich **and** rather tasteless. There was no ginger or wasabi served with the sushi either, which I found disappointing. And the baked Alaska... was probably the biggest disappointment. It was tiny, had a yuzu flavor, and tasted much more like cheesecake than baked Alaska. It also didn't really feel like baked Alaska at all -- and it definitely wasn't baked. My husband doesn't eat sushi, so he ordered the chicken katsu and actually really enjoyed it, so perhaps the non-sushi options are stronger. But for me, personally, I'd choose a different restaurant for a sushi dinner where I can leave with a clean palate and feel like I had something special. **P.S.** I was also disappointed by the lack of any acknowledgment of our wedding anniversary. Our reservation clearly stated that we were celebrating our anniversary, yet nothing was done to make the occasion feel special -- not even a complimentary dessert or a little "Happy Anniversary" message on the dessert we purchased ourselves. It's a small gesture, but on a special occasion, those little details really matter. That said, I do want to mention that the **service itself was good**. Unfortunately, though, good service alone wasn't enough to make the overall experience memorable for the right reasons.

After speaking with the owner, he explained that he didn't want us to feel rushed, so he was able to accommodate us at a later seating that day. I really appreciated that! I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time, though, because there are only eight seats available at the counter. The market itself is in such a cute area and has so much to check out, including teas, popcorn, a brewery, and more. Once we sat down at the sushi counter, the atmosphere almost made you feel like you had been transported to Japan. I ordered the five-piece sashimi, and the fish was incredibly fresh and delicate. Each piece was paired with different sauces and flavors that made every bite unique. It was unlike any sashimi I've had before, and you could really tell how much thought and care went into each piece. Between the atmosphere, the hospitality, and the quality of the fish, this was such a memorable experience. I would absolutely come back--just with a reservation next time!

The booth we sat in had a beautiful and asymmetrical heavy wooden table top polished to a brilliant shine, and there were a surprising number of diners there at noonish, on a Tuesday... what's that tell you? Now: the food! *First, for the technically challenged, be warned that the menu is available via phone and QR Code. If you want a printed menu, too bad. Otherwise... We began our meal with Agedashi Tofu, which is fried cubes of tofu that have a magnificently thin layer of a crisp skin encasing melted tofu, and there's a perfect sauce to dip them in. I have been thinking about these for an hour now and can't even imagine how they are made. A delicious magic trick! Next, we had an Eel and Shrimp Tempura Roll, a Shrimp Tempura Bento Box, and two Nigiri and Sashimi lunch specials. The Tempura was light and crisp. The bento box included a spring roll, fried rice, and gyoza, all perfectly flavored. The Nigiri and Sashimi fish was served cold and absolutely fresh, and was sliced generously. The Nigiri and Sushi lunches included a California roll, 4 pieces of sushi, and six pieces of sashimi, and really was a lot of excellent food for a bargain $24. I almost forgot that we started, along with the Agedashi Tofu, with a very subtly flavored miso soup with tofu and seaweed. This was also perfection, with just a breath of ginger and perfect salt. I hope I've convinced you fans of Japanese food to try this restaurant. If you're new to Japanese food's many varieties and intricacies, or hesitant to eat raw foods, there are always cooked meat and fish dishes like Tempura or Teriyaki you can order, and then you can explore by tasting the more exotic things your friends and family order. Maybe you'll develop a taste for it! If you already have a taste for Japanese food, don't pass up an opportunity to eat a wonderful meal at Mikado, in MetroWest.

My bartender Jonell was awesome with servicing me (I had the passionfruit flavored Tropical Long Island) and Laine was super sweet in checking in on me during my dining experience! Please ask for their service when you visit, best recommendations! For my first round, I had the Clam Soup, Aged Tofu, Harumaki, Green Mussels, and Eel & Octopus Roll; for specialty rolls I had the King Kai, Crunchy (hand), and Eel Cucumber roll. We were greeted right away and seated immediately, which was a great start. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, helping us feel comfortable with our choices. They offer a wide variety of signature and specialty rolls. We ordered the Citrus Roll, Sea Fusion Roll, and Volcano Roll. Overall, they were good; however, in my opinion, they had a bit too much rice. I personally prefer less rice so I can better enjoy the flavor of the fish, but I understand that this can come down to personal preference. One roll that really stood out to us was the Honey Salmon! It was definitely a highlight of the meal. As an appetizer, we had the fried salmon croquette, which was good and a great way to start. To finish, we ordered the molten lava cake for dessert and it did not disappoint. We cleaned the plate! In terms of pricing, I felt that some of the rolls we ordered (aside from the Honey Salmon) were a bit on the pricier side considering the rice-to-fish ratio. I've had similarly priced sushi at other places with less rice, which better suited my taste. That said, we'd absolutely come back next time we're in Winter Garden. We'd love to try different rolls and explore more of the menu. Maybe the ones we chose just weren't the best fit for our preference
