Wow. Best sushi I've had so far since Las Vegas. Everything was so tasty! The staff was super friendly. Portions were fair. A little pricey but so worth it. Again, so far the best sushi I've had. Definitely have to give this place a try. The space feels cozy and relaxed. No pressure or judgement on how you eat or hold your utensils. Nice and clean. I would 100% recommend this place. They got a kid friendly menu if your little ones don't like sushi. The poké bowl is great as well. My only complaint is that they don't offer AYCE. read more

Went with my wife who is not a sushi fan since they have hibachi on the menu she could enjoy. While the sushi was a mix of some good and some just okay roles, the hibachi was a total turn off. She was so unimpressed by it I felt compelled to try it once I was done with my sushi. To my horror it was the worst hibachi I've ever had; there are several takeout/express type places I would rank above this in terms of quality. The steak had no sear at all on it, everything on the plate including the veggies was bland and lacking flavor, but the biggest disappointment? The rice. It had some sort of weird flavor to it and was extremely dry. While I would go back for the sushi, I cannot recommend this place for anyone that isn't a sushi fan. read more

I've been eating at Takumi for many years. It's my first time back after a while. I ordered take out (Vegetable Hibachi) because who doesn't love a good lunch special? It comes with noodles, upgraded fried rice and a medley of vegetables. I love that they include a miso soup. It's super easy to order with them on the phone and when I got there, everything was available and ready to go. Today the food was OK. My meal might've been soured because of a tiny hiccup I had. Years ago, I got a gift card from them, which I use only once since. Today I was told I had a zero balance on it and that the gift card never had any money on it based on their records. That's obviously impossible because why would I have a gift card that never had anything on it? I would say get gift cards with caution. Otherwise check them out for sure. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Ocoee because they have anime decoration and fun clean spaces. Dig in! read more

I went to Takumi sushi and ramen for the first time. It was quite nice, even though there weren't much customer when I went there. The waitress was very nice. I had lunch set about $18 and plus. Quality was descent and miso soup was also nice. I think it's worth of value for what I paid for. I think this place is great for bigger party for friends and family gathering. Simple decoration. We recently tried this place from a recommendation and we were not disappointed. I was worried at first because we had arrived at 9pm and they close at 10pm, but that didn't have any effect with their quality of food or service. We ordered ramen , special sushi rolls and a steak teriyaki and everyone was beyond pleased with their dishes. Everything was so flavorful. We really liked they had gluten free soy sauce for sushi as well as making accommodations to rolls to take out what wouldn't be gluten free. The inside is Anime themed and my kids loved it. We visited Takumi on a Friday night. It was pretty busy, but we were seated immediately. Unfortunately, the bubble tea machine was broken so we both had water. We both ordered tonkotsu ramen and I got a spicy tuna roll and my friend got scallop sashimi. The ramen took about 35 minutes to come out. It was amazing. I loved the egg and the broth. The noodles were delicious. The pork was solid, but not my favorite. The ramen alone was amazing. I was a little surprised that a place with ramen in their name only offered one type or ramen. The sushi on the other hand was not great. The sushi took about 45 minutes to come out. The tuna was cut much finer than I was used to, and I didn't enjoy the texture. The scallop was served cut into pieces and served on a cucumber. It looked really pretty, but when we tried it, it was room temperature (which never feels good) and it tasted a little off. Neither of us felt comfortable eating it. Overall, I would certainly go back for the ramen, but definitely steer clear of the sushi. The service was a little slow, but it was worth it! read more

We then ordered a Sexy Roll to start/share, which was also delicious. Lastly, I was in the mood for ramen. I love that they have the "build your own" noodle soup bowl option. You can pick your broth, noodle, and ingredients. I chose the Spicy Beef Broth, Oriental Noodle, Chicken, Broccoli, and Bean Sprouts. It had a great flavor to it. You can also choose Large or Extra Large. The large was plenty big, especially since we had the appetizers. Service was excellent, too. This restaurant had tasty chicken katsu - honestly one of the better ones I've had around the area. I just wish the rice to katsu ratio was more proportional, i.e. more katsu and less rice. We had the veggies tempura and edamame for appetizers. My family ordered the hibachi dinner that came with soup & salad, noodles and rice. They enjoyed it. I ordered the spicy beef ramen. The soup wasn't spicy but it's good enough for me, so if you want more spice, you might want to ask for it. The service wasn't bad, but the food took some time to come out. The interior is filled with various hand painted murals and calming jazz type music playing quietly in the background. My go to's are either the chicken hibachi meal or the build your own ramen meal. Wanted to try out something new so decided to check out this place located near good homes Road. When we first walked in we were incredibly shocked at just how large the location is. So it is perfect for large groups who want to dine together. They have an extensive menu of sushi as well as Ramen and other entrées. We happen to visit on a Friday night in July and our server shared with us that if you ordered a beer or wine it was buy one get one free. Great deal for a Friday night! And what was even better is our server let me know when you're ready and I'll bring the other! Love that the server did not bring both classes out at the same time! Since it was rainy outside I really wanted Ramen. They do offer the option to build your own but I chose to go with a premade one the spicy beef bowl. The broth was spicy but perfectly well balanced with great meat and that bok choy! Phenomenal! Our server also let us know that they were running a special where if you bought two sushi rolls you can get a third for free so we opted to do that as well and have some to take home for leftovers.
