Got the all you can eat deal, and the sashimi pieces were all very fresh, and the seafood that were cooked werent overcooked so the texture of the food (mussels, etc.) were perfect. The beef from the hibachi is also super tender and delicious; not too salty and were thick cubes. The fried cheesecake was a bit too rich for my liking, but wasnt too sweet. The servers were almost always around and ready to take our orders.
This place was packed on a Saturday night, but the queue moved quickly! There were 20 groups ahead of us for a party of 4 and we only waited about 35 minutes! They conveniently have a waitlist you can sign up for on their tablet, which will notify you by text once your table is ready. You can also check the link provided once adding your name to the waitlist to see how many groups are still ahead of you. Our favorite fish is salmon which did not disappoint. The salmon sashimi was very fresh and generously portioned. I enjoyed the salmon run roll and kobe 24 rolls the most. Note that the kobe 24 roll has a thin slice of lime on it which can overpower the other flavors. I love lime so I enjoyed that roll very much . Overall, everything we ordered was pretty good and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. It is conventiently located in a shopping center which has plenty of parking and a few shops to stroll around while waiting for your table if it's busy. The decor is a bright, yet fun take on your traditional Japanese restaurant - calligraphy on the walls and paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
My friends and I (party of 7) met at Sushi Yama for lunch. We were seated at a table near the front next to the bar. Tranh came over and introduced herself. She advised us that if any one wanted all-you-can-eat the entire table would have to order all-you-can-eat. We told her we didn't want all-you-can-eat and to bring us regular menus. Tranh returned and told us she didn't have enough regular menus for the entire table. We found that bizarre because the restaurant had just open and there was only one other group besides us at the time. We told her we would just have to share. While we looked over the menus, Tranh brought cups of water. I didn't see the flavored teas on the menu so I asked her about them. I was disappointed to learn that the flavored teas are no longer available. I loved the tea I had last time we visited and was looking forward to having another one this visit. While trying to decide what I wanted to drink, my friend ordered a Yama Coconut Heaven. When she received it, she offered us a taste. It was heavenly. I loved it so much I decided to order one as did another friend who also sampled the drink. The Yama Coconut Heaven had a great balance of the Bacardi Coconut Rum, Sake, Pineapple Juice, Coconut Puree and Champagne. To share, I ordered the Spicy Combo (Tuna, Salmon, and Yellowtail Sushi Rolls). For my entree, I selected the Steak Hibachi . The hibachi came with the choice of white or fried rice, miso or clear soup and a salad. I chose miso and substituted for brown rice. The food came out quickly. We had to shuffle items around to make space for the food. I was so full from the soup, salad, and some of the sushi rolls that I had to take the rest home. I did sample a piece of steak before packing the food in the to-go containers. The steak was satisfying good. It was tender, flavored well, and cooked perfectly. The leftovers reheated well. Some of my friends and I are already planning to return for sushi rolls and more of the Yama Coconut Heaven.
It was nearly 5p when we finally stopped for our late lunch/early dinner and Sushi Yama was the spot we parked our starving selves. There was a wait list but it went relatively quickly. We came to realize they offer a AYCE offering but we went with the a la carte instead because that is much more food than what we would eat. Our server Cindy was friendly and wonderful at keeping track of our meal and drinks. We started with garlicky edemame which was subtle and good. It might have needed a small touch of kosher salt to give it a bit more kick. My rolls were huge, tasty and very filling with lots of fresh ingredients. My kamikasi roll was delicious as was the yama jumbo, which lived up to its name. I pushed through towards the end because my belly was stuffed but I couldn't leave anything uneaten, that's just wrong. If you choose the AYCE it's $36.
Absolutely delicious! The variety and the quality is a 10/10 You get a lot for your money! The service is excellent and the ambiance is relaxing.
So it has been awhile since I have been here. Came in for lunch since its cheaper for AYCE - $22 per person. Drinks are extra. Ordered NIGIRI of Salmon, Smoked Salmon, Eel, Hamachi. Also sides of Vegetable tempura which consists of an onion, broccoli, zucchini and carrot or sweet potato? Also had a serving of Edamame and Avocado Nigiri. I lean towards the Salmon, Hamachi and Eel more when I get the Nigiri but the smoked salmon adds umph after eating so much raw fish. Green Tea is bag tea here. It's like $1.50 with free hot water refiils. Sweet Tea is good here with free refills the drink is $3.95 I think. The Edamame is typical steamed edamame - Its a good palate cleanser for me in between sushi eats. The Vegetable tempura is not bad but for the batter its a light beer batter type batter in which I am ok with if its coated light. I favor the king mushroom tempura because I just love mushrooms. They are very skimpy on tempura sauce though so you need to request more of the tempura sauce. The Avocado nigiri - I order because its a good one to keep it light after eating so much raw fish. The creaminess of the avocado is a good touch to clear the palate. The ice creams here - I favor the strawberry because you see chunks of real strawberries in the ice cream. Then the green tea but for me the green tea is not the authentic green tea ice cream - theres no taste of bitterness or floral leaves notes in it. It tasted more vanilla with green coloring imo. So this day - They had issues with so much rice leftover in the tray and that they were going to charge dinner price because of it - They were not so strict before with rice leftover but today they did. I stood in stand regarding them up charging and they said next time I am aware of the rice leftover policy. This place gets busy especially lunch. Just be mindful.
Great Japanese restaurant. We really enjoyed the food here. Everything was delicious and fresh. The customer service was also great. We didn't like the fact that we arrived about 10 min before the buffet was closing and we were still offered a buffet. Like there is no time! They also told us if we can't finish the food we order (not take but order, so we can't even see how it looks and can't taste first), they weight and we will be charged for that. Thats why we decided to order from the menu. Prices looked good enough. We would definitely come back again and try more dishes from the menu.
Very unassuming on the outside but this place delivers on the food! One person at the table can't order all you can eat, the entire table must order AYCE. Service was friendly and attentive. There are a ton of options on the AYCE menu from appetizers to noodle to rice to sushi and even ice cream. We added up how much we would've spent ordering from the menu between the 3 of us and it came out to about $120, so we got our moneys worth. AYCE is $23/person. The baby tiger roll was our favorite, we ended up ordering 5 of them. 2 of us don't do imitation crab or tempura shrimp so we were happy to have the baby tiger on the menu. Some things to note-it's freezing inside and we were slightly wet from the water park, bring a jacket. Also, there were sushi chefs working shoulder to shoulder-at least 10 of them, but the food comes out very slowly. Would definitely return.
If you're looking for a great all-you-can-eat sushi spot, this place is definitely worth checking out. For $23, everything on the menu is included, which is an incredible value considering the quality and variety. The service was fantastic. Our waiter took the time to explain how the menu worked, what was included, and even how they handle excessive leftovers. We didn't end up having any leftovers, but I appreciated him being upfront about it. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the salad, but that was 100% a personal preference and not a reflection on the restaurant. In fact, when I mentioned I didn't care for it, the waiter didn't charge me for it, which was a nice touch. I meant to take pictures of all the rolls, but honestly, we were hungry and they disappeared too fast. Every roll we tried was really good. Highly recommend. Great food, great service, and a great value.
Food was ok, we had a party of seven and the first thing they told us when we sat down was that everybody gets all you can eat or nobody can get all you can eat well we didn't even know that was an option so we decided to go à la cart. They then told us we had to share menus because they didn't have enough à la carte menus because they typically only do all you can eat, especially on the weekends that was just kind of odd way to start us off. We were the first group in when they opened and they didn't have enough menus for the table. Two people from my party ordered the New York strip steak and they did not ask them what temperature they wanted it has they say it only comes out one way. The food was decent the Customer Service was lacking. Lots of parking was the most positive thing about the experience..
Who doesn't love a good all you can eat. This place delivers a table service all you can eat that is both delicious and reasonable. Love the all you can eat without the buffet line and sitting food. The staff here is super nice. They don't rush you at all and even encourage you to eat more and try things. The restaurant is clean and well lit and the decor is worthy of the touristy side of town where it is. My wife tried their cucumber refresher and it was so good we might do more drinks next time. 10/10 love thos place and please save room for dessert! The fried cheesecake is awesome!
We visited Sushi Yama on International Drive for lunch on Saturday and arrived right when they opened. Because of that, they were able to seat our party of seven almost immediately, which we really appreciated. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is a good place for larger groups. Our server was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Where the experience fell short was with the food and service timing. Even though we were among the first customers of the day, our food took quite a while to come out. There was also some confusion with one of our dishes. We thought a plate was missing because it had simply been placed on the edge of the table without anyone saying who it belonged to. Everyone assumed it was someone else's, so it sat there getting cold. When we asked the server about the missing plate, she pointed out that it had been there the whole time. A simple "Who ordered this?" when it was delivered would have avoided the misunderstanding. As for the food, it was just okay. I ordered the steak, which could have used more seasoning and flavor. My side of fried rice was very plain--it was literally just fried rice with no egg, vegetables, bean sprouts, or anything else to add texture or flavor. Overall, we enjoyed spending time together, and the restaurant is a good option for accommodating larger groups. The staff was friendly, but the slow food service, communication issues, and underwhelming food kept this visit from being a great experience. I'd consider giving them another try, but I'm hoping for more flavorful food and smoother service next time.
This place is a 10/10 every single time. Service is incredible, everything is fresh and there are so many options every will leave satisfied. They have big open tables so you're comfortable ordering plenty of food. We always start with the raw options and work our way up so we don't get full too fast and can keep trying new things! They even have hibachi options for those family members who don't love raw fish. The price is hard to beat! Must try Orlando staple.

Tonight was not a good experience at one of my favorite sushi places. A couple of my friends and I wanted to meet to have sushi before going out to icon park and for them it was their first time here. Our server , Anne was the worst from her attitude to her lack of attention to the table. After placing our order she only came back once and we had to ask other severs for napkins and eel sauce. I understand the place was busy but we were there until 10 and it just got worse. She completely messed up our checks and had an attitude when presented with asking her to correct them. I did speak to the manager before leaving and he wasn't much help outside of saying " I will speak to her ". I'm super disappointed ! Service -1 Food -4 read more
A really solid AYCE sushi spot! There's plenty of parking within the plaza it is in, but it can get really busy. It's close to the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel, so any conventions/events may increase the crowd here too. Even with a long line, we were seated within an hour (with a large party as well). The atmosphere is sort of "generally Asian", with some Chinese calligraphy and whatnot on the walls, rather than specifically Japanese, which was a little funny. It was well-lit and welcoming, though, which i liked. There's a decent amount of seating, but it isn't enough for their busiest hours. The service is the highlight here--all the servers were friendly and attentive, and the food came out pretty quickly after ordering as well. Though they don't always remember who ordered what, they are quick to take empty plates and quick to set down new orders. They do also come out to do a small celebration song if it's your birthday. The menu is pretty solid--I was a big fan of the variety of appetizers and sashimi/nigiri, which included plenty of tempura and the standard assortment of fish types. Everything is presented in a visually appealing way, which impressed me as many AYCE places do not bother with presentation. The rolls menu was kind of lackluster, though. So much tempura, cream cheese, or imitation crab . . . I really couldn't find more than a couple rolls that suited my taste. Overall, I think this is a pretty solid spot! I think there are one or two other AYCE places (including ones near this area) that I like more, but I would definitely not turn down an invitation to visit. read more

First time trying all-you-can-eat sushi in Orlando and it definitely exceeded my expectations! We came here to celebrate newlyweds and my aunt's birthday, and it turned out to be such a fun and memorable experience. The service was attentive throughout the meal, and the ambiance was modern, lively, and perfect for celebrations. I was honestly really surprised by the quality of the fish for an AYCE sushi spot. Everything tasted fresh and was beautifully presented. My favorites were definitely the scallops, salmon, and ebi shrimp -- all were fresh, flavorful, and nicely prepared. The presentation of each dish made the experience feel more upscale than your typical all-you-can-eat restaurant. Overall, we had a great dining experience and would absolutely come back again whenever we're in Orlando. Perfect spot for groups, celebrations, or sushi lovers looking for good quality AYCE. read more
AYCE sushi was pretty good for our first time here. Our waiter was super efficient and quick putting orders in, food came out fairly quickly. Everything was fresh. The seared salmon could have been seared a little more, I like to see the char at the top but the salmon was smooth and silky. Good flavor. The rolls I got were pretty good, very filling because I forgot it had sweet potato in it lol. The other roll had way too much spicy tuna on top in my opinion but was still good. The shumai was probably my favorite and I got sweet potato tempura which is my favorite as well. I'm actually happy they didn't have so much rice in the rolls too. We were a party of 7 on a Saturday evening and waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Such a good deal for the $34.99 AYCE which includes sushi rolls, sashimi, tempuras, soup, salad and dessert. The mango salmon tartare was the bomb! Mango with salmon combination was very refreshing. Our waiter Jason was very attentive and kind. Two hour limit for AYCE. Highly recommend. Visiting some family in Orlando area, so we decided to eat here with them. It's about $35 per person for the dinner price but it's all you can eat. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and brightly lit. We were seated immediately. Be aware that you will not be seated until your entire party is present, so be sure to plan accordingly. Although it is all you can eat, you place the order of what you want and they bring it to your table. This guarantees that your food is hot, fresh, and ready every time. I love this part. Some items to take longer to prepare than others, so try to be patient. The day we went was a busy one so it definitely took awhile to get some of the food items but everything was delicious, which made up for any waiting we had to do! read more
Sushi Yama is definitely a solid option if you are craving sushi on this side of town. The service is friendly and professional, the ambiance is pleasant and the sushi is definitely enjoyable. Orlando does not have a lot of all you can eats sushi places, so this place is definitely a welcome addition to the Orlando culinary scene. I came here with a client and overall, we both enjoyed the complete experience. If you are in the area, give them a try. I am confident that you will find it a great experience. read more
We stopped to get Sushi and I was blown away. The restaurant is nice inside. There are TVs around the bar that are easy to see from the booths. The service was great. The waiter explained the menu and preferred items. We ordered Super Rainbow Sushi. The size of the portion was really good. I enjoyed every bite. I definitely will comeback for more. read more
We are in Orlando visiting family and decided we wanted sushi. Sushi Yama was recommended by our cousins and it did not disappoint. We had 11 of us so we expected it to be a while to be seated and take orders. That was not the case. They accommodated our family quickly. We all got the AYCE. Everything came out faster than we anticipated. The service was incredible with taking plates away and making sure we were all satisfied. Everything was very fresh and crisp flavors. The ginger dressing on the salads was phenomenal. The decor is typical for an Asian restaurant, but updated. It was not crowded but elegant and bright colors and decor. They also have a bar. i expected very little honestly just not really knowing the standards of fish quality here. it surprised me, i was incredibly shocked to find that the fish was so fresh and buttery. for the cost, it was more than worth it. better than most of the places i've had at home in la. the yellowtail and eel especially were just incredible. the salmon wasn't necessarily the BEST but still pretty good. the cuts are huge and having sashimi as an option without a premium that im used to makes it even better. i truly think about this place so frequently - must try read more

I went back to Sushiyama and our service was incredible. I feel like if you are in a big group it's a bit slower like I experienced last time. This time it was just a table for 2 and everything we ordered just kept coming out. I really enjoyed the spicy kani and mango roll. I wish the cheesecake was bigger or ordered 2 because it was a perfect after sushi treat! I'll be revisiting again. read more

Orlando has many all you can eat places, more than miami and broward I feel. We decided to try here as we've been hearing a lot about them. For dinner it was 35.99 all you can eat, we got there about 7 and had about an hour wait, wasnt to bad as there was tj max and Burlington in the plaza so we walked around while waiting and then got a text and call when it was ready. There is a waitlist you can add your name on the tablet and can monitor where you are in line... the place gets super packed and by time we got seated they weren't taking any more people in. Our waiter, even though she was super super busy, she remained calm and helpful to us. And everyone was there to help each other out. I love the team work. The food, can take a little time so I suggest ordering a few at a time and then they usually bring out stuf 1-2 things at a time. Honestly everything was delicious, from the shrimp tempura (comes with 2), shrimp noodles, hibachi steak, sashimi scallops and yellow tail and then we got 3 sushi rolls. Oh and at the end you get tempura fried cheesecake and an order of ice cream. Both the tempura cheese cake and vanilla ice cream went so well together, it made it the perfect ending to the end. Met up with an old friend who swore by Sushi Yama in Orlando, and you know how that goes. When someone says, "Trust me," you either get life-changing sushi or a polite smile and a backup dinner plan. Happy to report, no backup plan needed. First off, the sushi is fresh. Not "sat under a light contemplating its life choices" fresh. Actually fresh. The fish tasted clean, bright, and exactly what you want when you're voluntarily eating something raw. Service? Lightning fast. I'm pretty sure our rolls were halfway to the table before we finished ordering. No long dramatic pauses. No wondering if the chef went on break mid-tuna slice. Just efficient, friendly, and on it. Now, is this the kind of place where a sushi master whispers to the fish before slicing it with a sword forged in 1620? No. It's not gourmet temple-of-sushi vibes. But it doesn't need to be. It's very good, solid, dependable sushi with a great variety and a relaxed, easy feel. It's the kind of place where you leave happy, full, and not checking your bank account with one eye closed. Pleasant is the word. And pleasant is underrated. Not outstanding. Not transcendent. But absolutely enjoyable. Four stars. TL;DR: good sushi/sashimi; rolls were just okay; kitchen food was hit or miss Came here at an off time and was able to get a seat and fairly quick service. This is an all-you-can-eat place, so it's expected not to get regular sushi restaurant quality, but this place was pretty good! RECOMMEND: ~Sushi/Sashimi - Our faves were: ~~Scallop ~~Eel ~~Mackerel ~~Hamachi ~~Salmon ~~Ama Ebi ~~Tamago ~~Masago ~Salmon Run Roll (probably the only roll we truly enjoyed) ~Hibachi Steak (surprisingly very good and soft) ~Green mussels (baked with spicy mayo on top) ~Salmon Tartare (more like a salad with mango, onions, and soy dressing) AVERAGE/STANDARD: ~Takoyaki ~Dumplings ~Yellowtail Jalapeno ~Samurai roll ~Tuna sushi/sashimi ~White tuna sushi/sashimi ~Ice Cream DO NOT RECOMMEND: ~Miso Soup ~Clam Soup ~Spicy Salmon Handroll (filling was mushy/pasty) ~Ika sushi/sashimi (a little too slimy) ~Cow Boy Roll (steak was rare/too hard to chew) Overall, the menu is quite large so will be able to find something for everyone. We were visiting and decided to treat ourselves to some good AYCE sushi after spending the entire day at Universal Studios. We got there at around 5:30p hoping to beat the rush but surprised there was already a waitlist. It took us about 30 min or so to get seated. We were immediately served water and our server gave us plenty of time to decide our first round. I wish I got the name of our server since he provided above and beyond service. I was really surprised how he remembered our orders despite handling so many tables at once and knew which orders were missing just by looking at our spread. Food-wise, fish to rice ratio was well balanced. I also felt even the specialty rolls flavors went really well. Rolls were not drenched in sauce which is how I like them. Service was pretty decent although there is a little bit of a wait in between your rounds so I'd recommend getting your orders planned out beforehand. The servers make sure all your orders come out before serving any ordered dessert. If we're ever in the area again, we would definitely be back!! read more

The All You Can Eat is great, service is excellent, with many cooked / sushi options. Gyoza is good, everything was good. Keep in mind the only options of sushi are Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp & Crab. Many tasty varieties are available, and recommend getting some of the chef options. read more
Amazing ayce sushi place!! The rolls are made to order and not from a buffet. They are large and the ingredients are so fresh! I wish someone would've told me about this place sooner, I've been searching for the perfect ayce place!! Typically when you go to a sushi buffet, they sacrifice quality for quantity, but Sushi Yama is the exception! The interior is really nice with wooden decor everywhere and very clean. The hosts and servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Whenever I am craving a lot of sushi, Sushi Yama is definitely my go to spot. The fish is very fresh and presentation is great if you order a lot, as you can see from the pics we got a boat for both of our orders! Honestly, I can't believe that it took me this long to try out Sushi Yama! If you are a fan of AYCE sushi, this is the spot for you! And the best part is that your food is served directly to your table, so it is essentially a buffet without the actual hassle of getting up to grab more food. I was able to try out a lychee martini, which was excellent and well priced. My partner & I also had a sample of everything from the hibachi steak, rice, noodles, and about 5 different sushi rolls. Everything was very high quality and tastes great. If anything, I almost wish we had more room for extra hibachi steak as it was so good! I can't wait to go back soon. It also seems like a great restaurant for larger parties or celebrations as we saw multiple big groups there as well. read more
As always one of the best All You Can Eat Sushi. Everything so fresh and delicious, great variety of sushi and rolls, as well as salads and other dishes. Great all you can eat sushi! Excellent fish quality, standard sized nigiri (rice to fish ratio) and excellent assortment of fish, and extensive menu of cooked and prepared Japanese dishes. I highly recommend their unagi, hamachi, maguro and wide range of sushi rolls. read more

Is the AYCE only for sushi or can we also order fried rice or chicken hibachi?
They also have fried rice, or noodles! If you see in my review I ordered the noodles and u pick the protein 😀 all included..small portions but u can order more if needed. The noodles were very delicious
What do they charge per person at dinner?
They charge $34.99 which includes all you can eat sushi rolls, sashimi, specialty rolls, hibachi, tempuras, soups salad and more. Beverages are not included in the price it is separate and about $4.
What time does their lunch AYCE end? Edit: I found the answer, it is open to 3:30pm for anyone…
I never went there for lunch. They have lunch specials, but that's from 11 to 3 and it's not all you can eat.
