Takeout only. In the words of AJ himself, "When I cook, I go all out." And honestly, he really does. The man makes his own chips, his own cheese, his own hot sauce--basically everything but the oxygen, and I'm not totally convinced he's not working on that too. I'm already planning my next visit. And yes, I couldn't help but notice the menu has some serious Stack Burger energy--which checks out, since AJ helped build that spot before branching off and taking on the challenge himself. Also, the 90s vibe in his takeout spot? Immaculate. It's like stepping into a time machine, but with way better food and no dial-up internet noises.

I participated in YELPs Nachovember by visiting AJ's kitchen. He offered a special birria nacho for the event. AJ was very happy to offer the nachos, which were pretty good. I personally don't care for the liquid type cheese sauce, but the beef was very good. It was a well run event and I was happy to find this little spot.

What a great find! Worth the drive from Buffalo. And no disappointment. If you notice some wrestling terms, it's because AJ used to ... what do we say? Perform? Participate? Anyway, it's why my chicken parm was called a slamwich. Lots of interesting slamwiches and burgers! Turkey poutine is on the November specials board. As is a burger named The Gobbler. See photos and read about the Gobbler and admit you want one. But only until the end of the month. Take out and delivery. Intimate waiting area with 3 or 4 stools and a small table with 2 chairs for waiting comfort. Enjoy the photos. That's what I did while waiting ***AJ will fry your turkey. Only a couple spaces left.

We stopped in for the Yelp event and decided to buy the Hangover burger to go. It's a burger topped by a hash brown potato, a fried egg, bacon and "smack sauce". It was very good.

I stopped in for the Yelp Nachovember event and was really pleased. I had never heard of this place before, but it's very close to the thruway, and super easy to get to. There's not really a space to eat, just a bar to wait for your order, but the guy behind the counter greeted me when I walked in and was very nice. He got right to work on my nachos, and they didn't take much time at all. I also ordered a hot chocolate to go. Everything was hot even when I got it home, and it was delicious. The nachos had a good bit of meat on it, and a little bit of kick, but not enough to be oppressive. The hot chocolate was actually fantastic, rich and creamy. I didn't even know this restaurant way there, but I am going to keep it in mind for sure.

Great visit today! The yelp berria nachos were awesome and I was excited to learn chef AJ was the owner of stack burger. I loved stack burger so that was good to know but I was unaware they closed. Good to know he's around to share his good food! The nachos were great and we decided to try his special turkey sandwich and burger. Both came with real hand carved turkey not lunch meat with a yummy jalapeño cranberry sauce. It was delicious and I should have asked for more! I will definitely be back for more yummy food. Prices were awesome especially in this day and age. He has a few places to sit and eat quickly but it's mostly designed to be take out. There's enough parking outside as well but if a few too many people got there at the same time it could definitely get crowded. Glad we visited!

Aj's was great! I stopped in for their birria nacho special. I was allowed to substitute turkey since I don't eat red meat. That alone was awesome! They nachos were amazing! I decided to order the hot rings which were perfectly coated and fried. The smack sauce goes well with them. I also got the pollo loco sandwich. I loved all of the peppers on the grilled chicken, but would definitely add extra sauce since the bun is thick. Very small inside, but Aj is so nice! Service was quick even though it was busy.

We were in town for one night and liked it so much we had lunch the next day. Burgers are great, but the various options for wings are top notch. There is a very small counter area with stools and a folding table with chairs outside. Primarily this is a to-go food location. They seem to make most of their sauces in-house.

Flavor bomb! Stopped in for a yelp event, providing birra nachos, and ordered a rodeo burger and chopped cheese as well. The birra nachos were so good! The birra was amazingly flavorful, and I believe he seasoned the nachos as well, because every bite from start to finish was delicious. Normally you get nachos and the balance is off, not these! The service was great super friendly and fast. Think is was less than 15 minutes from order to get the hot food! Small place, take out only, BUT there was nothing small about the taste and flavors. The Rodeo burger was absolutely a 11 out of 10! I see why they won best smash burgers. The brown sugar loganberry BBQ sauce on the Rodeo was soooooo good, could of drank it alone! Burger cooked perfectly. By far top five burger in the area! The chopped cheese didn't disappoint either! Again AJ knows flavor and seasoning! The steak was delicious on a nice roll, full of flavor and cheesy goodness! I can't wait go back and try other items!

    Cowboy steak sandwich

Best thing I ate in a few weeks. Ordered the cowboy sandwich, wife had the bacon and blue sandwich and we shared fried pickles. Not greasy like the one I had at Jim's last week. Delicious flavor, cheesy and hot even after driving home. Definitely will be back. What a gem of a place. I would have never known until it was recommend by another patron.

The cashier was a little gruff, but the woman running back and forth between the kitchen and the front had a better business sense about keeping customers happy. She didn't want me to wait long, so I think she rushed the kitchen a little bit, which I appreciated, but also may have led to some of the demerits on the food I mention below. I was happy to see one dish I ordered, the pig intestine with fish, on their picture board above the cash registers. That gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and it was the best dish by far out of the three I ordered. The intestine was fresh and flavorful, the spice level was high, but also not too salty. It was a lot of food. Only drawback here was the fish (tilapia?) seemed to be heavy on the breading. The other two dishes were disappointing. Penang curry with pork had good vegetables, but the sauce had too little flavor since they went too heavy on the coconut milk. The pork seemed like chicken, not pork. Way too soft and flavorless. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun had good noodles and veggies. But the curry powder was not blended in. Eating it, I could still feel it in powder form. It was also far too oily. Overall, I think they had a lot of options but next time I'd steer more towards classic Chinese, since that seems to be what they do well. I hope next time the flavors will be stronger and blended better (i.e. powders actually stirred in). I'm willing to give them another chance, since they do have a lot of dishes I like. Last note: the online ordering service does not indicate that dishes come with rice. I thought they would have rice by default, but then when I added the penang curry to my cart, it asked whether I wanted rice or noodles or something else. So that made me think I had to order rice separately, which meant I had twice as much rice as I needed. It also said "quart of white rice" was sold out, but "pint of white rice" was not, yet the rice that came with my meal came in a quart container.

The day we visited, they did not have any baked goods (they said they only have them on the weekend), so we couldn't try the peras de coco (coconut rolls). But, perhaps it was kind of a blessing because our picada was plentiful. The dining area isn't huge, but they also do take out. There are about 5 or so tables to dine in. The service was a tad slow, but very friendly; I believe there was only one person waiting, cooking & serving AND the food was more than worth the wait! We ordered the picada for 4 and my brother tried a Colombiana cola. He liked it a lot; it was lighter than a "normal" cola, non-carbonated and less sweet than cola around here. I don't drink pop and even when I did, I always hated colas. I can't say I'd drink a whole Colombiana, but I didn't find it disgusting & that's saying something. Now on to the star of the show, the picada! It was loaded with several different meats, plantains fixed in different ways, yuca & baby potatoes and 4 sauces. We were so excited when it was set down on our table, we dug in before we even got our silverware haha. The platter had chicken, steak, chicharron, chorizo, blood sausage, sausage, sweet plantain, fried plantain, fried yuca and Colombian potatoes. The sauces were: avocado sauce, mayo/ketchup, pico de gallo & a garlicky one. Everything was so, so flavorful and cooked perfectly! There was not one thing that any of us didn't like. If I had to pick my top contender of a meat and a non-meat item, I would choose the chicharron & sweet plantain.... But I hope to never have to make that choice! The chicharron were thick and crunchy. The sweet plantain were perfection. When we left we were each given a dulce de leche caramel. They also have a variety of Colombian snacks and candies for sale. They recently opened an additional, larger location at 951 Niagara Falls Blvd (it used to be El Palenque). We were told they will be keeping both locations open, but the new location will have some additional items that they don't serve at the Oliver St location. I cannot wait to visit again!!!

The food does take awhile because they make everything fresh so when you do get it, it is piping hot! The three of us got the Picada for 2 to share and the Caldo de Bola Res with grilled tilapia. It was more than enough to share and we had leftovers that we could eat for two more meals at home. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked well. Nothing tasted dry at all! The chicharron was my favorite so I got a separate order of just that to take home. Highly recommend and would definitely go there again!

I miss Cafe 59...and used to overlook the fact that potato wedges aren't included with the sandwiches, the falafel burger is always mushy in the middle, they don't include enough dressing with their salads...and things are sloppily prepared. I overlooked all of that because they use whole foods and the taste was decent. Fast forward to 2025, I've included a photo of a turkey burgundy sandwich with a small bag of Lay's (weird choice, but ok) and a pickle spear, which costs $17.25 before you even add tax or tip. What?? I totally get that costs are rising for everyone including restaurants, but this isn't in line with what you can get at other places, even on the same street. If you can't sell your original menu at reasonable prices anymore, then you need to adjust it. We won't be back.
