Everyone here is amazing except the lady, she's rude at times and unable to understand simple questions. She rushes you as if she has better things todo. I've used this place before and never had problems getting loans for gold or silver bullion in the past. I went there this past week with some silver bullion and even silver coins ( 5 ounce coins) only to be told they would have to drill through them to make sure it was real silver. These people didn't even have the right equipment to check it but there are other methods they could have used to make sure it was real silver other than drilling into a numismatic coin. They could have used a scale for one to make sure it weighed the right amount in troy ounces but didn't even offer that. How do you have a pawn shop that takes gold and silver but you don't have the proper electronics to test said precious metals? They have a diamond tester but nothing for gold and silver? I brought in reputable silver bars and coins that ANY silver bug would know but some how these dopes couldn't even distinguish the pour lines/brand/stamped .999/weight etc. The employee that first saw my silver didn't even know what it was so she called the manager who is normally there only to be told " I don't know about these" "We would have to drill through them" I immediately said "REALLY" and he said yes. I was literally dumb founded as I've never known anyone or pawn shop that didn't have the proper equipment to test precious metals. They offered me over the phone $8 per troy ounce (12/19/2020). That's not even half of what silver was at time of going over there which was $26.71 per troy ounce spot price. I'll never come back to this sh!thole pawn shop nor will I advise anyone to go there. Their other pawn shop in Pomona wanted to do the same. Take your silver and gold else where. I world of advice to AJ's Pawn, GET THE PROPER EQUIPMENT TO TEST PRECIOUS METALS you morons! P.S. Seemed overpriced to me. They had an Alvarez DY70 Acoustic guitar priced at $1200. I cannot find any online that have ever sold at that price. The 5 or 6 online that have sold were all at $750, $650, $400. There were a couple of items that were like that. Be careful, you could really over pay for something here. Employees were constantly taking off their masks for no reason. Should be more professional. They seemed nice, but should do a better job. read more
