I give one star because I didn't have the option to give none. Seriously the WORST food I've ever had. the margaritas were gross, we ate less than half of our food... our bill was almost $70 for 2 lunch plates and 1 marg on special. As for service... same as the rest. There was a server, but she wasn't good. A very expensive learning experience. read more

Out of town visitors stopping for lunch. It was hopping on a Monday, with lots of locals in for lunch. Service was friendly and super quick. Our food came out in no time! Went here late after an event and have to say this place is pretty awesome and authentic. They have really good music playing in the background with plenty of tv's all around. The whole place is rather small giving it such a nice and cozy feel. The service was prompt and excellent. I got the combo #5 that had a taco, enchilada, and a chili relleno. One thing I noticed is this place does not go light in cheese. As much of a cheese fan as I am, I was very pleased with my meal. I have to say that this place may have received 5 stars from me but I noticed the bathroom was out of both soap and paper towels. I'm glad it was towards the end of the night or that would have been concerning. All in all this is a must stop to get some authentic Mexican cuisine. read more

Excellent food and service! I drive by everyday and it is always busy-and with good reason. I had the steak Colorado and my wife had Pollo Feliz. I think the Pollo Feliz was the better dish. It was a chicken breast, shrimp, sautéed mushrooms , red peppers, and onions, served with Spanish rice and refried beans-should've taken a picture. Both were served steaming hot. Let me start by saying the food was good. Not any different than any other Mexican place we have been to , though. The one thing that made my experience bad to the point we won't be back was the SERVICE. LWe came in and immediately got seated, but the one woman serving and taking orders was incredibly RUDE! No smile, very few words, gave us chips and dip and didn't bother to take our drink order. (Her gossiping to her other co-worker was too important, I suppose.) She had to be told to do her job several times, to which she sighed and rolled her eyes.When the food came she just laid ot down and left, for a moment I didn't think she heard my husband ask for more sauce. (She did.) We said please and thank you smiled..we were pleasant. She was NOT. It upset me to the point I just left the stuff I didn't eat there. I didn't want to go through the monumental task of asking for a to go box. I don't want to sound like a Karen, but going to dinner with my husband is special..we hardly get to do it much since he and I work so much and he doesn't usually have weekends off. One person ruined that for us and I want people to know it. We won't be back, as I said. Oh, and by the way, fix your parking lot. A field would've been better. This is a typical, but good Tex Mex place. It is reminiscent of Tacos El Sol in Topeka, delicious and not too spicy. Rice is a bit bland and dry. A bit more tomato and a fair amount of roasted garlic would make it a hit for me. Refried beans need a bit more garlic and salt. Carne asada is my test dish, get this right and everything's probably right. They did not fail, however I would have liked to have a bit more sear on the steak to develop that maillard reaction. That would have hit it out of the park for me. They roast a big chili, that is quite nice and it is served with flour tortillas. A cooling element like guacamole or sour cream with a bit of lettuce or pico de gallo would have balanced out this platter. The portion size is more than generous and I ended up taking some home. Salsas is chunky fresh and delightful. It is perfectly balanced. Chips are fresh and delightful. I had a top-shelf margarita and it was pretty good. Personally, I would have liked to have a bit more Cointreau in the drink, but how it was made was delicious nonetheless. The waitstaff is delightful the place is clean and the wait time is minimal. The kitchen is fairly fast and turned out the meal quickly. I think this place is probably the best Mexican restaurant in this community. This is a good solid place to eat, to take the family, a good value, and nice place to have a good time. read more
