One thing is for sure: you won't leave hungry... Everything is really big and decently priced. I don't think it's quite as amazing as everyone is making it out to be, but that's just my opinion. OK so this place is great. Food is so good. Wolf Wings were amazing. I love a place that can do quality wings without having to fry them. Beers on tap and in cans are great. And the staff is nice and helpful. But a couple things are just a little weird. None of their wings come with a dipping sauce...they dont have blue cheese at all. Which is a personal preference, but even ranch doesn't necessarily come with it. Then my Cobb Salad (which again was great) came with some noodles and broccoli. I guess I am not really complaining about that, but those ingredients are definitely not in the description or on the menu. Just something weird. For me doesnt make a difference but could see it being an issue for someone who has a gluten intolerance or allergies. Or maybe my salad was just made next to someone else salad and those slipped in. I got nothing. Either way looking forward to going back and trying the sandwiches. I wish I had taken a picture of everything...1) to see the broccoli and noodles, and 2) to see the wings-literally perfectly cooked, nice char etc. (I asked for the Wings well done and def think that is the way to go). Best restaurant located in the middle of a very unassuming industrial park I have ever been to. Thanks to Yelp found this little gem while looking for somewhere quick in an area of mostly chain restaurants. As first-timers it was a little overwhelming. Line out the door, people yelling, menu board with about 10,000 things that all looked delicious. I settled on the Haight Ashbury as spicy is kind of my thing. Sandwich was HUGE. Flavor was great, especially the wicked wolf sauce. Not gonna lie, the amount of meat was a little much for me, but the boyfriend loved it. He ordered the Embarcardero. Loved the horseradish sauce, but we agreed would have been better served hot. Also got a side of the exploded potatoes (free with a Yelp check in!) Those guys were good. Service was not the friendliest, but at places like this I think thats part of the charm. You order at the counter then pay at the bar and pick up your food on other side of the counter. Hard to figure out if its the first time and they are just calling out names to get orders picked up. Great patio area on the side. They also have a beer/wine shop next door that we went in. Apparently you can buy whatever you want there and have with your meal. Since the Flying Dog Brewery close by doesn't serve food, this is where most visitors end up we learned. With that being said, we wanted to try a different place other than your normal sandwich shop. There are probably a few good places to eat in Frederick, but a.k.a Friscos has to be the best for miles and miles. It is immediately obvious that everyone here knows how to run a deli. But it gets better. The sandwich creations are well thought out, excellent and reasonably priced. The same is true for the salads. You get a LOT to eat. There's an ice cream place attached if you just have to have something sweet after (or in place of) your meal. I also saw beer and wine if that's your preference. This is located in the middle of a large office park and I heard they close at 5pm, so it's lunch only. Get there early or be prepared to wait because everyone there knows how awesome the food is! read more

The food is excellent. My first impression sitting down was not favorable, however, because the table was dirty. When you come in, you place your order from an overhead menu at a central station. You're given a ticket that you take to the "bar" to pay and order your drinks. Then, you find a table yourself, and they deliver the food. I can't think of a greater pairing than a huge, delicious sandwich from Frisco's and a cold beer from flying dog. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. Loved the sprouts and the light curry flavor. I think it's be even better with raisins to add a pop of sweetness. The pesto turkey is good and packed with flavor. Beef stew was tasty, but a bit greasy. Salads are huge with tons of texture; exactly like the sandwiches they are named after. Just got back from lunch with friends from Frisco's. I'm a Bay Area native so when I heard of this place I knew I had to check it out. It was a bit hard to find at first, hidden at in an industrial park. A little bit of driving around then we found it. When I walked in, there was the menu displayed. One would be overwhelmed if this was their first time in like me. However I did my research online!! While we decided on what to order, we were handed samples of the soup of the day and exploded potatoes. Both were delicious. I ordered the Trans-AM Sandwich along with a small side of exploded potatoes and a bottle of Root Beer. My sandwich contained turkey, (lots of) bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. My sandwich was big and I was only able to finish half but it sure was tasty. I loved the potatoes too!! The service was great. Quick and very friendly. I can't wait to return again soon! read more

Wow I will not be back anytime soon. And that is a bummer because I really liked this place and it is walking distance for us. But the staff's attitude was horrible today. Ordered a salad and I asked what vegetables came on it and with the chicken salad she said only lettuce. I asked if other veggies could be added and she said yes. Paid for my food and while I was waiting for it looked at my receipt and there was a misc food charge of $2. I went back to ask what that was for and he stated the extra vegetables. I said no one told me that and he said "well it's on the sign but she probably should have told you." I was ok with that, he was nice. Went to look at the sign and nowhere does it state there is a $2 charge for extra vegetables. I asked the young woman that had helped me about it and she pointed to the section about adding items to a baked potato. I stated I didn't order a potato, I ordered a salad so why would I think that charge would apply to me. She said it applies to everything on the menu. I then asked why she didn't tell me where would be a charge and she pretty much shrugged her shoulders and walked away from me. For the record...I would have gladly paid the $2. But the indifference of the staff was terrible and her attitude definitely needs changed. I would also suggest changing your sign. And to add insult to injury...the sign stated they were $1.75, not $2. This post truly isn't about the money, but the principle. Additional follow up to post above: I am impressed. The owner not only responded back quickly, but apologized and remedied the situation. Based on this...I will definitely be back to try them again. And I modified my rating from a 1 star to 3. Very good exploded potatoes! They have a yelp check-in deal where you can get a small one for free and I urge you to take advantage of that. Because then you'll try it and realize you need a large next time! The cordon bleu exploded potatoes dish was SUPER salty. I wouldn't get that again. The sauce was salty, the ham was salty, the cheese salty... everything was overwhelmingly salty in that dish. The exploded potatoes were perfectly seasoned but with all that added on top I wished the potatoes weren't seasoned at all. But the rest of the dishes were good and a huge portion. It was pretty good, not spectacular, but it took a long time to come out and was served on a cardboard disc. Okay, so it's definitely above any sandwich chain but not nearly as good as the reviews lead you to believe. I ordered the Trans Am, which is basically a turkey club on steroids. The packet of bacon it was topped with was artery clogging goodness but the turkey was the packaged kind not oven roasted. Had a bite of the bf's Embarcadero which was roast beef (I think) and cheddar and it was good but again, I didn't think it was better than any decent deli's. Then again, I have seen any delis in Frederick besides the Italian one downtown come to think of it. The exploded potatoes were pretty good but I'd stick with the small if you're ordering one of the giant sandwiches. They have a few picnic tables outside and a bar so it seems like a cool out of the way spot for happy hour maybe. Came here recently after reading about it on yelp. I suggested it to my group of friends and off we went, as others have remarked, it has a somewhat odd location. Everyone remarked how amazing (need to go back and get those loaded potatoes) the samples were and my boyfriend ultimately decided to get the chili. All of the girls ordered a baker (baked potato), I ordered the redwood with roast beef and cheese. My friend ordered the one with avocado? Not sure what it was called and her daughter ordered a plain. I also ordered a side of macaroni & cheese. My boyfriend ordered the chili (also a side item I can't recall) and my friends son ordered a normal turkey sandwich. Everyone remarked that everything was good and I really enjoyed mine - they do not skimp on the meat or cheese, in fact every bite had a load of roast beef. The macaroni and cheese was decent, not the best ever as advertised (boo) and a bit cold in the middle. The place was a bit loud and become a little crowded in the time we were eating but hey it's good for business. The prices were extremely fair and everything was very filling. A few of us had to take leftovers. If I was just going off the food I would give this a 5, service I'd give a 3 maybe a 2.5 but it really isn't a place that service matters all that much since you sit yourself. The man who was also working there was very friendly in fact, too bad we did not get to deal with him the entire time.
