I've been back a couple of times so here's an update They now have alcohol and maybe a little bit of food If you pay cash you don't have to pay tax They do ask for tip even if you don't ever really get anything If they're busy and you're not making them money (ie alcohol), they won't let you extend your stay. If you do want to extend, you have to tell them at least 30 minutes in advance. Some of the rooms have pretty bad system? Like room 3, I couldn't get the mic to stop screeching. Still my go to since it's so convenient and you can't beat this price when you're someone who shows up really just to sing.

$8 per person, per hour with an additional $2 required beverage purchase... what an amazing deal! Bring cash because it'll be cheaper that way too! No alcohol is sold at this spot, they are in the process of getting licensure (11/15/2022)! I highly recommend calling ahead and do a reservation. If you walk in, you might have to wait a while to get a room. They have a bunch of Korean and English songs. I was surprised to see artists like Honne, Rich Brian, SLANDER, and NIKI! The rooms are very clean as well. The remote or karaoke system was in Korean, but they have a sheet that helps guide you. The rooms aren't very soundproof- but it honestly didn't affect my experience because my group of friends and I were too into our own karaoke experience. Highly recommend stopping by this spot!!

The place is really clean and employees are really friendly. Make sure to bring physical ID over 21, because even our party were not drink alcohol they required everyone in order to enter due to different license type on this location. Additionally, this is the friendly and honest karaoke in ktown. I love this place!

Love this Karaoke, the workers are all very friendly and they welcome each every person with an great smile on their face's. It's also the most affordable karaoke in Ktown, the prices aren't that expensive so you don't have to worry about that. (However, make sure to bring an physical ID 21+, cause they do check IDs for sure). Lastly, if you guys are planning to be coming on the weekends, please just make sure to call ahead before going, cause they do tends to get really busy.

I came here with a friend. They greeted me with great service, and it's a great atmosphere to sing and drink.

    Very nice place!

They have horrible attitudes and seek for tips that they don't deserve. Don't go if you don't want to ruin your night.

The atmosphere has that lively Korean pocha vibe--casual, energetic, and perfect for hanging out with friends. The food was delicious and came out fresh and flavorful. There's a great variety of Korean dishes, and everything we tried was satisfying and perfect for sharing. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy good food, drinks, and conversation without feeling rushed. And the karaoke was definitely a highlight! It really takes the experience to another level. Being able to enjoy great Korean food and then sing your heart out with friends makes Joo Pocha a great place for birthdays, celebrations, or just a fun night together. Overall, great food, great service, great atmosphere, and so much fun with the karaoke! Definitely a place I'd come back to and recommend to anyone looking for a lively Korean nightlife experience in LA Koreatown.

I've been to this restaurant many times before, but this recent visit completely changed my…read moreopinion. The biggest issue was the valet parking. They really need to be much clearer about how it works. When we arrived, they told us to park the car ourselves instead of having the valet do it. Naturally, we assumed that if we self-parked, there wouldn't be a valet fee since they never parked the car for us or explained otherwise. After we finished eating, there was a white car blocking us from leaving, so we politely asked if they could move it. Instead of simply helping us, the first thing they asked was whether we had paid for valet. We explained that we hadn't because we parked the car ourselves. Their immediate response was, "You don't have money to pay?" That comment was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Do we look like we can't afford to pay? The issue was never about the money--it was about the lack of communication and the disrespectful attitude. If the valet service has a fee even when customers self-park, that should be explained clearly from the beginning. This is not how you treat loyal customers. I've visited this restaurant many times, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be coming back.

Our private room had awesome projection screens, great sound, and a huge song selection (English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Thai, Arabic, etc.). We originally planned to grab a quick drink and leave, but the food was actually good so we stayed for dinner. It's part karaoke spot, part izakaya! The menu is loaded with sushi, sashimi, ramen, takoyaki, grilled pork jowl, baked mussels, clam soup, kimchi fried rice, and warabi mochi. We ordered cocktails and sang everything from Disney tracks and OG hip-hop to Chinese songs. **Happy Hour Deal:** Mon-Fri (6-8 PM) & Sat-Sun (3-7 PM): $30 per person for the entire HH window, which includes your private room rental PLUS up to $30 in food/drink credits! They're open until 2 AM (located on the top floor of the Vons parking lot, right next to Daiso). Even if you're not a karaoke fan, I'd still recommend coming. I spent the whole night singing terribly and had the absolute best time!

If I go with a group in one month, I definitely make time to go by myself within that same month and pay for 2 people to meet the minimum for the weekends. It's worth it. Can't decline the $30/person fee with that same amount of food/beverage credits per person. Yes, I generally go for 4 hours and spend my credits on $60 worth of booze. Service Charges and Taxes will be added to the final tab... and any amount that exceeds the $60 credit worth of food/drinks (of course). Skewers are delicious, fries and taters are crispy, and the booze make me happy. I'm very glad they still serve Jinro over Good Day / Soon Hari (they taste funky compared to Jinro). They also have a cool beer tower where there is a separate chamber filled with ice to keep the beer cold without diluting it (melted ice). Rooms, restroom, and equipment continue to be clean and awesome quality. I just realized there are no minimums M-Th so I might go by myself after work even though it's only 2 hours of happy hour compared to the 4 hours on the weekends. They aren't cheap with their AC either unlike K-Republic when it was still open. This place is better than any place I know of in K-town and even the SGV. Moxie has ruined me for all other karaoke spots in SoCal and I have zero reasons to stray elsewhere. Parking is still plentiful and it's adjacent to a full plaza of eats, drinks, and a huge VONS. Amy and Jackie are AWESOME!!!! Please continue to support this local business.

With so many great-looking drinks on the menu, I asked the bartender for a recommendation and went with a drink (I can't remember the name) that was essentially a spicy mezcal margarita. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up ordering three more, never getting around to trying anything else. The bar has more of a lounge-like feel, though I understand there are karaoke rooms in the back. They also offer food, but I wasn't in the mood to eat this time. Maybe next time, I'll try the truffle fries with my cocktail.

We repeatedly had to leave the room to find someone and ask for drinks, and even then, we had to remind them. No one was checking in on us. The billing was also confusing. Our items totaled $166, but we were told the bill was $183, and no one could clearly explain the extra $17. On top of that, there was a mandatory 15% tip ($25) that had to be paid separately through Venmo. We had fun because we were with friends, but overall, the room quality, inattentive service, and unclear extra charges made it feel overpriced. I wouldn't recommend this place or go back.
