When in k town one must karaoke. We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night, but we were the first to arrive just before opening and we sang for 2 hours. We enjoyed the soju and drinks and the sound was great. The rooms are smaller and our room windows were open, so you see everyone and everyone sees you. But other than that we had an amazing time.

I came here with a group of friends and we had the best time! The song selection was huge -- everything from the latest K-pop and pop hits to throwback classics. The sound system was super clear, and the mics didn't cut out once (big plus). The staff were friendly and helped us get set up quickly. The room was clean, spacious, and had fun mood lighting that made it feel like a private mini club. Drinks were reasonably priced and came out fast!!

This place was really clean and the workers were really kind. Would definitely suggest this place over any other karaokes in Ktown.

A great way to spend a couple hours with friends!

YD is an oldie but a goodie, and it hasn't changed much - it's a solid NRB karaoke option for small and larger groups without the frills. Super affordable if you just want to come to sing for a couple hours. There's no crazy drink minimum, though you each have to get a canned drink. It's priced $8/person per hourwith a 4 person minimum, otherwise there's a small additional fee. We got a small room (#1) on Sunday at 6:30pm-8:30pm so it wasn't a busy time and we paid $64, and they ask for tip via cash or venmo. If you pay in cash there's a discount. The audio set-up and slight reverb are actually really good, so you sound the best!

Super fun experience! This place is listed as "YD Karaoke Studio" on Google. They have private rooms with fun lighting. My friends and I sang our hearts out for 2 hours. It's $8 per person and then $32 per hour for the room. Seems like a lot of other places in the area were pricier. There were two microphones in the room, which worked great for our group of 4. I also LOVED that they had tambourines in the room so that we could play along with our friends while they sang. The karaoke system was super easy to figure out. It seemed pretty crowded. We got there at 7:30 so we didn't have a wait, but when we left it looked like there were a few groups waiting outside. Parking is valet only, but it was only $3, so I didn't mind. Their drink "options" are only a refrigerator in the lobby with canned sodas like sprite and coke and beer. I wish they had more options, but I had a great time here and I will definitely be back.

Found this place through Yelp after extensive research lol. I really wanted to find a karaoke place that was good and affordable, this was perfect. Pricing per person was $8, we were a group of 4. Less than 4 I believe price is $32/hr overall for the room. Buying a drink was mandatory which to me was interesting since I'd never been to karaoke but after singing and yelling in a room for one hour it made sense to have water haha. Employee at the font was very friendly and did her best to accommodate us. Would definitely come back with friends or even by myself. So much fun

    Great microphones!

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

I really wanted authentic Korean food that was not kbbq and not tofu and this place delivered! This restaurant is in a small strip mall. The strip mall has other Korean food options. They have a valet parking system of sorts but we didn't pay, we self parked. The attendant told us we were fine. It was approx 9pm when we arrived and also a week night. I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? That's a good problem (for them to have) but not for consumers. I feel this really limited our options to just soup. I honestly didn't want soup but there wasn't much else we could order. The bowls were large and came out piping hot. It was a satisfying meal and not too heavy. The price point was on the pricey side. Our waiter told us business has not been the same post covid. Some dishes are between $40-$60. I asked for a soup and they were able to make it less spicy. My friend got a soup with dumplings in it. He put a good amount of soy sauce to give the broth some life. Also, the banchan is on point. We asked for a refill and devoured the second portions. If you wanna impress friends with Korean food, bring them here! Its a casual place.

Restaurant was half empty and no Ike which surprised us on a Saturday night. Ordered some bossam and chungukjang and it didn't taste the same as it used to couple years ago. Not sure what the issue was but it lacked flavor. Also they were cleaning the kitchen while serving food which was kinda not sanitary with all the water splashing on the floor of the kitchen while they were making food. Overall it's not what it used to be and cleaning the kitchen while making and serving food is not a good combo.

The barley rice is topped your choice of about 15 different side dishes of lightly flavored savory mountain roots, greens, mushrooms, and peppers. Comes with a soy bean paste that you use to further season. Just mix everything in a larger bowl and serve. OMG. Absolutely incredible!!!!!!!!!! Before this main course, you do get three small bites (pumpkin porridge, scorched rice/tea, and tempura). Additionally three different sides are also served (acorn jelly salad, Korean escargot/snail dish, steamed cabbage), along with perilla chicken soup, and soy bean soup, the latter which is the most traditional Korean dish. Last for dessert you get red bean porridge, dried persimmon rolls, and plum tea. Nothing like this in all of SoCal. A must come and try for all.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
