Was in the mood for tacos and found this spot via Google and crossed checked yelped, both had good reviews and pics so decided to give this place a try. The place has a colorful Mexican restaurant vibe, very fun. Started off with LA toxica (frozen margarita) and it came with an ice cream bar and shot of tequila, it was really good, huge portion too. For my main, I got the Al pastor tacos ($17) which comes in four and it was tasty with a good amount of protein. My friend got the birria tacos which was solid. Overall had a good experience with great service. I would recommend this spot if you're in the mood for tacos and margaritas. * Parking lot available in the back * Live singer at night

Amazing service, have been there twice. Bartender / Server Jessica is on point with recommendations and her service. Super nice and nice to chat with. The food is amazing and very authentic. Will always come here when I stay at the Element hotel. The first time I had the tostadas and the second time the chicken Enmoladas. Perfect balance of sauce.

The decor was exceptional... Mexican culture and artistry was displayed in life size sculptures and colorful portraits throughout the establishment. Our service was great and food was plentiful. The cocktails are a work of art. It's worth a visit.

Happy hour margaritas $5

We decided to give it a try since they were advertising $1tacos. When we got there we found out that you can only get one order of 4 tacos each. Which makes sense. We also ordered the guacamole with pork chunks. My husband loved it. The margaritas are $5 during happy hour and the glass is huge. We didn't even finish it. Overall we had a good meal on a budget and I would totally bring my kids back for that!

Do not order the 2 for 20 and expect to be able to take your left overs home... they are refusing to go containers on the 2nd half of the quesadilla I didn't eat! In addition for a party of 5 they added an 18% gratuity but never told us it was added, and the check reflects, suggested tip additions at the bottom of it. Big red flagsb

We pass by this Mexican spot all the time. It used to be called Al Toro so I guess they are recently under new management. I noticed a deal for all day $1 tacos on Monday/Tuesday (dine-in only), so hubby and I decided to come in on a Monday at around 5 to check it out. It was empty, since it was still pretty early. The deal is only for chicken and steak, so we each ordered two chicken and two steak. Both were good but nothing amazing. But for $1? You really can't beat that. I highly recommend their green salsa. We ended up ordering 5 more tacos in total after that but keep in mind - it's a four taco minimum. So even if you ordered a first round of four, and you just want another two, they won't let you do it. Note - they don't bring you water. You have to ask for it but make sure you just ask for tap water. Otherwise, they'll charge you for bottled water. My husband ordered a margarita (he said this was sickeningly sweet) and a beer, which was also a happy hour special. I got the vibes that they didn't like the fact we were only ordering the specials so just because of that, I probably wouldn't come back. Not worth the cheap tacos/effort.

This place is decorated extremely thoughtfully and it creates a very traditional environment. The waitress was very friendly and helped us decide what to get. They have a $1 tacos deal on tuesdays so we got a bunch of chicken and steak tacos, they are small so you'll need a few, they also have great margeritas. If you're looking for some mexican food and drinks at a reasonable price on a weeknight, check this place out!

Amazing food!!! Very flavorful and a good amount for the price. I got two meals out of it. We ordered on doordash, I'm sure it's even better in the restaurant. We live in Passaic and unfortunately many of our Mexican restaurants have gone downhill...this is our new spot for sure.

Pass this place all the time but today decided to dine! Really loved the coziness; vibe; music and food! Didn't take a photo of the spicy gratin chicken dish served with rice and black beans or our nacho with chicken! Very good!Service was excellent as well! We will definitely be back!

Can't recommend this Mexican restaurant enough! The service was great and very friendly! Menu is on a tablet- first for me! They will work with your dietary restrictions (if you have any, and I did) without a problem- they will work with you without a blink of an eye. Full bar with delicious drinks. And the food...HUGE portions and fresh! Decor is beautiful and authentic. Perfect local eatery! I heard there's Karoke, too...try this gem of a place!

While in town we decide to give these guys a try since it looked decent & one of the few places that seemed to be opened later. Yelp check in gets u a free order of Guacamole this was great & about as much as we could handle since we came here after dinner. Guacamole was very good, nice taste cute presentation. Drinks we had the Patrón Mango frozen margaritas , wow they are pretty big & have quite the kick to them, nice in taste & decent amount of alcohol. This place stands out fun decor, they had live entertainment the lady although dressed in like traditional Mexican dress was signing all kinds of music it was entertaining. We sat at the bar since we initially just wanted drinks, also worked better since the pace was not crowded it's a decent size restaurant. Good service at the bar , we enjoyed our app & drinks.

I didn't have any food this. It was way too late. Good vibe in here. Staff was friendly and Spanish speaking. This is a Spanish Mexican restaurant with a full bar and tv.

The menu requires some knowledge of Polish food with some offerings being familiar while others may require some exploration. We were two couples dining on a weekday evening. Two people had plum stuffed pork which was very good, one had the pork loin and broccoli which was also good. I had the schnitzel which was not to be confused with German or Austrian schnitzel. It was two small loaves of a mix of beef and pork which resembled more of a meatloaf. It was a bit bland but satisfactory. It came with mashed potatoes. Several sides of Polish sauerkraut, beet salad, and what appeared to be a fermented carrot salad were included. We shared an appetizer platter of pirogies, kielbasa, and something I couldn't identify, but it was all very tasty. This is not BYOB because they have a full bar. The ambiance has a Bavarian flavor and is squeaky clean and neat. The food is hearty and flavorful im what I would describe as peasant style. The service is excellent as they seem to want you to have a good experience. Reservations are required on weekends.

It was my time to expose my friend group to Polish cuisine, and boy is this the place to do it! We were immediately greeted by the authentic decor, furniture, and outdoor space of a Highlander restaurant in Poland. The furniture is hand carved and there are outfits and decorations straight from the motherland. You feel like you are in your grandmother's home- and in a good way! There is something to look at and admire around every corner. Our waitress was so welcoming and patient while we decided on a variety of orders. She greeted us with a warm smile, gave us plenty of time to select from the menu, and provided top-notch recommendations. The food - don't get me started. This is as good, if not better, than what I eat in Poland. We tried soups (the żurek- sour, but not overwhelming, well presented in a bread bowl, and with delicious boiled egg- and the red barszcz- a tangy beet soup), a "sampler platter" with gołąbki (mini stuffed cabbage with tomato sauce for pouring to your liking), and grilled kielbasa. We also opted for the rye bread, lard, and half sour pickles. Sounds odd, but don't knock it till you try it! It's not what you expect, very rich and filling. For my entrée, I had a thinly sliced breaded pork cutlet with mashed potatoes on the side and "mizeria" (Polish side salad with cucumbers, dill, and sour cream). It was so fresh and light. I loved it because it reminded me of summers with my grandma. The drinks were colorful, well presented, and strong! Definitely worth their $12+ price. Overall, this spot is a hit. There is plenty of parking on the street or across the street at the library. Everything from the service, ambiance, presentation, to the freshness and taste of the food was top-notch. This is the spot to visit if you want real Polish food. We will be coming back!

When we walked inside, we were seated immediately. I ordered the Garden Gathering omelette which normally comes with a side of homefries and toast. I substituted the homefries for a cup of fresh fruit. I also tried a small pancake from my mom which was very fluffy and light. The portions were pretty good and the food was fresh. The prices are reasonable. Service was prompt and the food came out fast once we ordered. When we were leaving there was a pretty large crowd waiting to be seated. Overall, it's a solid, classic breakfast spot right in the heart of downtown Rutherford.

Having no knowledge of this location, my curiosity led me inside. Jose, the manager, told me the chef prepares a homemade barbecue sauce, which has been a family secret recipe for over 30 years. Jose also brought to my attention a really great deal offered on Tuesdays: full rack of ribs for the cost of a half rack! He gave me a free sample of the secret sauce. That spoon size taste went a long way as I was immediately hooked by its flavor and tanginess. With the exception of the wings, I tried the sauce on all of their killer meats! The tender, juicy brisket melted in my mouth. The pork ribs fell right off the bone. My personal favorite was the bird in hand. This half chicken made me feel like I was in dining at Medieval Times in Lyndhurst! The only thing missing was a tournament with gladiators grappling in a colosseum! Between the tasty meats, strictly confidential house made barbecue sauce, and the excellent service from the manager and the servers, I was very content and my crave for barbecue has been happily fulfilled! #jimdandys #killermeats #barbecue #MangoHabanero #smokedbrisket #rackofribs #pulledpork #barbecuechicken

Great cocktails - I had the "goodfella" - mellow old fashioned. Would have loved that with a cigar! The ladies had cosmos and they were pleased. The menu is limited but a diverse set of selections. No specials - not sure if they offer specials on the weekends. We'll find out on our next visit. For apps: I enjoyed my tortilla soup - more like a chili consistency than soup - and it was delicious! We shared wings as well. They were crispy and meaty and they'll default to mixing in a choice of sauces or they'll bring the sauces on the side for you. Nice touch! For entrees: Can't go wrong with the burger or the chicken sandwich. Add truffle fries for $1 up charge - worth it! Coming back to try the blackened cod sandwich or fish n chips with salt and vinegar fries. (They were just out of cod when we arrived at around 8:00pm - next time!). My wife had the chicken parm - huge portion, decent marinara (rare that my wife orders red sauce outside of a bonafide Italian restaurant) with a side of lasagna-looking pasta - very good! The bread they used was really fluffy and thick, but I was glad it was the soft brioche kind. The seared salmon was cooked perfectly with beautiful char all around. Loved the virgin pomelo drink so much, I got two of them. The service was good overall. Our server was friendly and did a good job attending multiple tables simultaneously, including ours. The dishes came out within decent intervals. Overall we loved the lunch experience, and look forward to returning again in future to try some of their other dishes.
