My wife and I had an amazing late lunch here away from the maddening crowd. It's a gem. The food was delicious and fresh and the proprietor was genuinely kind and attentive. Would recommend highly!

We visited here on our last night in Capri, which ended up being a great choice for us. We came here as a group of 3 without a reservation, and the gracious staff sat us immediately. The restaurant itself was very cute and home-y, and we felt very welcome. There were lots of choices on the menu, spanning between pasta, vegetables, seafood and other meats. We chose the gnocchi, veal lemon piccata, and ravioli, which were all very tasty. Understanding that this is a very touristy destination, we expected it to be a bit pricey (around 15-20 euro per person), but of course wish a bit more was included for the price point. Still, I think this is a very solid restaurant choice during your Capri trip!

Gorgeous restaurant. Amazing food! Homemade Pasta. We were visiting from California. Wished you were here in Calif!!!!

The lemon pasta you have to get it! I got the shrimp pasta and it was good - but I was scraping my husbands plate with my bread every chance I got!!! The pasta is handmade and fresh which makes l the difference!

Don't think about going anywhere else! Giafranco was the most humble owner who provides attentive service with the most amazing food. My girlfriend enjoyed the homemade pasta with clams, I had the 2 lb T bone steak. We had potato croquettes, fried cheese, and fresh sliced ham and melons. You may find a restaurant with a view but your food will never compare. It was my birthday and the experience was to die for. Best birthday ever!

Chef/owner is very kind and personal - creating a great atmosphere. Food is outstanding. I think I may have had the best pasta and clams in my life, and this was at lunch. Lemon pasta was excellent as well but the clam dish was next level. Highly recommend.

This restaurant was amazing. We got done with a boat tour and we were hungry at a weird time in Italy where almost everything is closed (3 pm). Luckily this place was open. I believe the owner/chef was there taking our orders and making our food. We started off with the calamari steak. It was huge and so tender, some of the best calamari I've had. I had the pasta with the shrimp and zucchini flowers. It was delicious, the pasta was handmade and so light. The sauce was light and delicious. I sampled the clam pasta, the shrimp pasta and the ragu. Everything was excellent. It was one of the best meals. I would highly recommend a stop by for some of the absolute best Italian food.

In Capri, one simply has the Caprise salad. It was the perfect light lunch to celebrate my visit to this island. My waiter was friendly and I left revived from a 95°F day.

We even saw him take a bite of the communal Parmesan cheese with the spoon from the dish (and the mother returned it to the bowl) which prompted us to not use the Parmesan. The pizzas were hot and fresh, we ordered the Davola and salsiccia e friarielii. Both were delicious but in the end, we love a tomato based pizza the best and should not have wavered. A glass of house wine was surprisingly reasonable at just 5 euro and was a standardly nice, juicy, easy to drink red. The bread was incredibly delicious. The smokiness from the wood oven made it possibly the most delicious bread I can remember eating. No butter. No olive oil. Just delicious. We would have loved to have tried a few of the pasta dishes that looked delicious, so our recommendation for a couple is to get a pizza and a pasta and share them. The salads also looked fresh and large. As many places in Italy, there a fee to sit at the restaurant and be served. 8 euro for both of us. The next day when waiting for our ferry ride, we popped into a pizzeria and grabbed another pizza diavola to go...what a let down. The pizza at buca di bacco was within a euro or two in price and 100% better. If you haven't had a good pizza in Italy and find yourself in Capri, at least grab one or two of their pizzas to go and eat them near the ocean overlook. Don't forget the chili flakes You will be quite content.

On the other hand, if you come here with the intention of experiencing a real Italian dinner with someone you love, you really can't beat the wine selection, ambiance, meal options, service and so on. We started with the Tuna Tartar and a dozen oysters, paired with a bottle of white wine. We had the lemon spaghetti, lamb shanks, dessert bar and limoncello. Everything was excellent. Our server was also a great guy who had been dating a girl from Los Angeles, which made for fun conversation. The hostesses took photos of us and the tables next to us were also great people having the time of their lives. Highly recommend if you know what you are doing. If not there are plenty of tourist traps at the marina to choose from.

The only place you need to dine at in Capri, I don't know if there is any other place that could top this experience.

So fun! The duck breast, octopus, and asparagus were all great. Our favorite was the sea bass which was served rolled up in a pancake style with a green emulsion of turnip greens and hazelnuts. The dessert was a white chocolate shell shaped like a skull filled with hazelnut mousse and spritzed with bergamot mist. It was so unique and delicious, and came with a story written on a rolled up scroll describing how it represented the famous skulls of abandoned skulls. Not sure I totally understood it but nevertheless it was fun. The atmosphere is classy and upscale, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was spot on. This isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience that balances elegance with warmth, and artistry with authenticity. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like old friends rather than tourists. Chef Tonino himself, his gracious wife, and their attentive staff exude the kind of genuine hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home--even as you're seated in a Michelin-worthy dreamscape of a dining room. And the food? Exquisite. Each dish was a masterclass in presentation and flavor--thoughtfully composed, immaculately plated, and undeniably delicious. It's clear the chef cooks with both heart and precision. Every bite had us pausing mid-conversation just to fully savor the moment.
