Over priced with small portions. BEWARE THE FOOD that you eating is prepared 1 week ago. I recommend that you go Elsewhere..

This place is a moderately sized restaurant bordering on Inglewood Ave. The width of the interior is about the width of two large hallways/entryway side by side with the length of a semi trailer truck. They had two tvs, and the walls were mirrors and one way glass facing the street. The staff were nice enough, I felt as if some of them had a language barrier but that's no big issue. I ordered the lunch special and a mango lassi. The lunch special comprised of rice and bread, lentils, tandoori chicken, seekh Kabob, spiced vegetables, and chicken korma. The rice was pretty standard, but the bread was served hot and had a nice slight crisp to the soft interior. The bread also had sesame seeds, which amplified the flavor of the bread similar to a sesame seed bun or sesame ball. The lentils had excellent seasoning, a stew like texture and spread well on the bread. The tandoori chicken flavor reminded me of a hot dog with an aftertaste of louisana hot links. The seekh kabob is a nice coarse spiced beef with a spongy texture. The vegetables were cooked nicely with a kick of spiciness, but I don't personally care for veggies. The chicken korma was really tender, but the spices were on the lighter side of flavor. Lastly, the mango lassi was good and creamy, more dairy than mango taste with a thinner texture than expected. All in all, a very flavorful lunch. I was surprised at how well seasoned the food was and how it left a lot of impact on the palate. Definitely recommend trying the lunch special on weekdays for a representation of a few items on their menu!

We ordered the mix tandoori plate, tikka masala, biryani and onion kulcha to share with a group of four people and still had plenty leftover to take home. The food arrived piping hot and served with freshly made naan. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned/spiced and balanced. The only negative is the limited parking

Food was bad. We drive all the way to this location to try Pakistani food. We ordered siekh kabob and it was super bad. It looked like it was cooked 2 days ago-frozen- and re-heated. The lamb karahi was tough - no flavor. The fried chicken - was supposed to be a whole chicken like how it is in Lahore - the server said it's a whole chicken - it came out in pieces and cooked to death! It was so dry. It's not even for human consumption. The Paya had a burnt taste. Seems like the bottom of the pot burned. The brain masala was the only descent one. Naan was ok. Overall - will never go back again. Will try the other Pakistani places. I really thought I can Like this place. Bad food. Sketchy area.

For drinks I had the cucumber mint lemonade. It's their newest drink. So delicious! It's cold, refreshing, and delivers a burst of flavor in your mouth. A must try! For food I had the chicken tikka masala (mild), half rice, and garlic naan. They also give you a small side salad. The garlic naan was the best I've ever had. So moist and not burnt like a lot of other places. You can easily pull it apart with your fingers as it screams, "eat me! eat me!", with delight. The chicken tikka masala's flavor was amazing! I like to try things mild first to see how they taste. Some places serve bland food and mask it with spiciness. Not here. The flavor is all there. Next time I think I'm going to adventure on the wild side and try the medium and then possibly the spicy. The included salad was simple yet so satisfying. The dressing is definitely unique and packs a punch with the spice level but... I like it. *wink* *wink* hahhaa. The rice was perfection. I hate it when it's not cooked enough and too mushy or overcooked and hard. Originally I was going to eat half tonight and then the other half tomorrow but... I know myself. I would just go to bed, wake up in the middle of the night thinking about it, then not be able to go back to sleep until I finished the rest because it would keep calling my name from the kitchen. Hahahaha. I didnt get to see the inside because I got it to go but I'll let you guys know in an update. The staff there is great and they seem like a very nice family. As I've always said, I'm a huge supporter of family businesses. I'm soooo happy I gave this place a shot. I am not only coming back, I'm definitely going to have them cater some of my parties. Enjoy!

They're thick, they're flavorful, they hit you with the right spice. Normal spice is a white man's medium high so they got their base down which is more than half the battle. They cook the Paneer just right. And really enjoyed the Bartha! That The not so good: the chicken is way overcooked, I don't know if it's breast or thigh, but it definitely tasted like a dried out breast. Possibly using the tandoori and just dropping it into the gravy, but a perfectly cooked chicken thigh would take the chicken tikka masala to the moon. Second, the Paneer portion size was a joke. Maybe six cubes in the whole deal. Needs to be at least double. I'm ready to try again you gotta protect your meats!

Al Hamra Kabob Grill is a restaurant run by a Pakistani owner, specializing in kebabs and grilled…read moremeats inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. The menu also features traditional Pakistani, Persian, and Arabic dishes, such as Beef Nihari and Haleem. After several visits, here are my thoughts on some of their grilled meats and desserts. Beef Kofta - 3/5. The kofta was a bit dry and tough. I wish it had more fat and seasoning to make it juicier and more flavorful. The grilling is also somewhat inconsistent--sometimes the kofta comes out beautifully browned, while other times it's over-charred. Grilled Fish - 4/5. This is easily my favorite item on the menu and, in my opinion, their best dish. The fish is seasoned just enough to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. It's grilled very well, developing a beautiful golden-brown crust while remaining moist and tender inside. Beef Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. The quality of the beef is decent, especially considering the price. Given the cut of meat they use, they've done a commendable job with the grilling. The beef has a solid seasoning base and a nice sear with just enough char to add flavor without becoming overly smoky. It's reasonably tender, though I wish it retained a bit more juiciness. Chicken Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. Very similar to the beef shish kebab. It has good flavor and is grilled well, but it could benefit from being a little juicier. Gyro - 2/5. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The gyro meat on the vertical spit often appears to be rotating without enough heat to properly caramelize and crisp the exterior. As a result, the meat comes across as dry, rubbery, and lacking the rich roasted flavor that makes a great gyro. Kunafa (Knafeh) - 3/5. This dessert has both strengths and weaknesses. The cheese filling has a pleasant, slightly salty flavor and a creamy texture, and I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet. However, the syrup is underwhelming. A good kunafa should be generously coated with a fragrant sugar syrup - ideally infused with rose water or orange blossom water - to provide sweetness and aroma. I also wish the kataifi, the shredded pastry dough, were crispier and lighter to create a better contrast with the gooey cheese filling. Overall, Al Hamra Kabob Grill is one of the better places to enjoy Middle Eastern-style grilled dishes in the South Bay. While a few menu items could be improved, the grilled fish stands out as excellent, and the shish kebabs are solid choices. The owner is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, neighborhood atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. It's not perfect, but it's a restaurant I enjoy visiting from time to time and one I'd recommend if you're craving grilled Middle Eastern flavors.

It was Saturday evening and surprisingly we were the only ones here, till another family showed up later. Without having huge hopes we ordered the following: - Roghni Naan 10/10 - WOW! I will just come back here to have this! Perhaps one of the best naan's I've ever had. It was so good, buttery, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside sprinkled with sesame seeds to perfection. Definitely should have gotten a few more orders! - Garlic Naan 6/10 meh could have done without this, not the best - Beef Karahi 6/10 my husband ordered this but it wasn't really an authentic karahi. Lacked some flavor and heat as well for me though my husband thought it wasn't bad - Chicken Haleem 7/10 this was pretty good, not bad, and definitely went well with the Roghni Naan. - Lamb Shank Combo 7/10 this order was for my daughter, she ate the entire lamb shank and loved it. Also came with sides of chicken curry and veg, which were both ok - Lamb Biryani 4/10 disappointing. The only thing that made this dish good was the raita. It felt like it was old biryani and also cold. Wouldn't recommend ordering this unfortunately. Also, huge pet peeve they used store bought dried onion in the biryani which is a huge No!!! Overall, I'd totally come back for the Roghni Naan and Haleem and I'd also be interested to maybe try a few other dishes next time as well.
