This is truly one of my favorite places to visit! My family and I have been many times and every time we go, the food is excellent, the service is friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is enjoyable. The owner will always come out to greet you and make sure all is perfect. The prices are very good. The portions are satisfying and you will leave feeling you truly got your moneys worth. It can be very hard today to find perfection in a restaurant but this place is very close. I would have to say we have tried almost everything on the menu and it has all been amazing. We were in Fort Worth/Crowley for a funeral. My hubs was searching out places near the Hotel that would be semi quick and near where we had to go. He found Aladdin Cafe and he knows I won't say NO to MidEastern Cuisine ever. We parked and went in a small cafe in a strip center, really low key. We browsed the menu and I decided on a Chicken Shawarma for myself really hoping it would be good. My hubs asked if I wanted to share an order of Tabouli..well, of course...and he ordered a Lamb Kufta Sandwich. The Tabouli was very good and had perfect ratios of cracked wheat (burghul) to parsley ratio, lemon juice to olive oil. On my first bite, I tasted a hint of naenae (Arabic word for mint). Because I tasted mint, I asked the lovely young woman serving us if she was Palestinian and she was. Her husband is Morrocan so it's a family owned business. My hubs loved his Lamb Kufta Sandwich. I tasted a bite and it was very nicely seasoned. Well.... my Chicken Shawarma Sandwch was without any dought, the best I have ever had Stateside and I lived in the Middle East for 10yrs. The young woman showed us a framed, featured, recent newspaper writeup hanging in the Cafe giving praise for this place. Prices were very reasonable, we both felt. For a small Tabouli, a Chicken Shawarma, Lamb Kufta Sandwich and one drink our total came to $20.00. We left very pleased with our new little place to go when we are in the Fort Worth area. I have been to this restaurant location in the past. But was not pleased with the food under a different ownership. BUT ALAS, NOT ANYMORE - Under the new ownership, the food was fabulous, came to the table hot, and they provided plenty on my plate. My husband and my friend, raved about the food, too. We had the Lentil and Chicken vegetable soup, falafel, dolmades, and the Greek salad. For the entrees, we had the chicken shawarma and the gyro plates. Wish we could try the desserts but we were so full. Will be coming back again and again. And next time I will try the desserts. Met the owner, Youness who is a very nice young man and really takes pride in serving good food and making the customers is happy. The waitress who served us was a sweet lady. This may be a hole in the wall place, but I loved that updates you made to the restaurant interior. Thank you for the pleasant visit. Ok, this is our first try at Mediterranean food. We could not have picked a better place to start. The cafe is nice and clean and we were greeted as soon as we stepped in. We were able to sit immediately and the owner came to take our drink order and answered a few questions we had about the menu. The Starter Maza appetizer was great and then we had soups and salads which were fresh and delicious. Our entrees were prepared quickly and exactly how we ordered. The owner and his wife checked on us regularly even though they were the only 2 working tonight. We both had kabob entrees and they were great! After dinner we had homemade baklava and Turkish coffee, outstanding!!!! Am so glad we tried this place tonight and we will be coming back from now on!!! read more

Ordered take out and food was delicious! We had the chicken kabobs plate. Also ordered a side of pita with hummus. The chicken was char grilled and super moist and flavorful. The salad was loaded with tomato cucumber olives red onions and came with a wonderful vinaigrette dressing. And the staff couldn't have been nicer. Winner! read more

Delicious, made to order food and drinks! We had fresh fatoosh and Greek salad and lemonade blended with ice and fresh mint leaves (truly a special summer treat!). I had the Australian lamb shank with vegetables (not gamey at all!) and my wife had the salmon with spicy sauce on the side. This is the best place for Mediterranean food in Fort Worth. From the outside, this place doesn't look like much; more a hole in the wall. This is my favorite place for falafels! They are so moist and yummy! Everywhere else they are dry and crunchy and get stuck in my teeth. But these melt in your mouth. I also love the hummus as well. UPDATE: Upgraded a 2-star rating to a 4-star. After posting a review, I was contacted by the owner of Aladdin Cafe. He was very concerned with our displeasure. He mentioned that on that particular day, he was not at the restaurant to oversee his staff. In order to make amends, he invited me and my family back to his restaurant, for a do-over. All we can say is... WOW! Night-and-day. The manager and his staff treated us very warm and kindly. The food that was served was fantastic! It was perfect! CORRECTIONS to original review: FOOD: "Typically, this dish consist of lamb meat shaved off a large roasting spit." The Lamb Kabab sandwich does not consist of shaved meat. It's actual skewer (kabab) style chunks. ATMOSPHERE: "Other than the Arabic music playing in the background, there is NOTHING that reminds me or makes me feel like I've walked into an Arab restaurant." Aladdin Cafe is not an Arabic restaurant. It serves Mediterranean, with a blend of Arabic. ***************************************************** ***************************************************** RECOMMEND: Ehh. "Friendly"man alive do I mean friendly people and great food... it was if I was at my grandmothers house for a Sunday dinner I was so welcomed and cared for it was amazing!!!why can't everyone else have the level of care and concern to talk to every one from the baby at the table to kids to the adults... we were treated like we were the only people their expect the place was packed and they set such a large group with ease... glowing flavors from the numerous appetizers to salads to the flavor pack entrees the kids burgers where more tasty then most of the normal high end burgers places and so we're the pita bread humus and the grilled lamb chops were on point o yes and the mixed grilled plate so good... come give them a try and bring a friend so they now your telling the truth because this little places is delicious read more

If my wife and I are driving around our new environs in SW Fort Worth looking for a snack or a late lunch and she sees the word GYRO on a banner or sign, it's a likely bet that I am going to stop and we'll check it out. So it happened yesterday afternoon around 3:30. This gem is at the end of a strip dominated by an antique mall, another draw for us, and even in the between time after lunch but before the dinner hour, it had several tables full. The cafe is clean and well maintained and we were directed to sit where we pleased. Our attentive waiter welcomed us with menus and took our orders for beverages. My wife went with a Coke and I a "Rusty Penny" (a drink discovered at a Mongolian place in Brick, NJ; half Coke, half Orange soda. Try it some time!). We had plans for a late dinner and ordered accordingly; my lovely wife chose the Gyro Plate with fries and a Greek Salad, I chose the Chicken Shawarma sandwich with rice. Our order took as long as made to order, made from scratch food should and we had plenty to chat about regarding our days' errands. Our food arrived, our drinks refilled, we began to eat. You know when you're peckish but not hungry or even the dreaded hangry wherein one is so hungry it make them angry? But then you sit and wait and your appetite grows. That Shawarma was divine. Fresh tomato slices, crisp pickles and deliciously prepared chicken in a tangy garlic sauce. I would have taken a picture of our meals but we dug in with gusto. The rice was perfectly cooked with slivers of almond, a very abundant portion. The Greek Salad was delicious with a home made dressing and plenty of olives and onion to go with the tomato and greens. The Gyro Plate; perfectly seasoned, plentiful Gyro meat slices, tomato and lettuce side, well cooked fries and a great portion. We ordered a side of Pita and my wife made delicious little sandwiches with the freshly prepared tzatziki. It was rich, creamy, with the right amounts of garlic and lemon. We were very pleased with the food, decor, service and will be back again soon and I promise to take photos! read more

Amazing Mediterranean food close to the Burleson/Crowley area. You no longer have to drive to downtown Fort Worth for great Tabouli, Hummus and Gyros. He makes the tabouli fresh when ordered and it makes all the difference. Everything was delicious, we will be back next weekend. read more
