Fast service, everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. Great price for the portion size, which usually lasts me two meals. The flavors were balanced and satisfying without being overwhelming, and you can really tell they put care into preparing the food. Everything came out hot and quickly, and the quality definitely exceeded my expectations for the price. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu.

One of my all time favorite spots in Seattle! I love coming here, whether for a meal or a late night snack. The staff are always so friendly and it is always lively here, especially towards the later hours of the day. Grab and go style, but they have a bunch of seating inside. My favorite thing to order here is by far the Aladdin fries- french fries with choice of beef/lamb or chicken, feta cheese, and garlic sauce. The garlic sauce here is so delicious, and all the different parts of the dish go so well together. The serving portions are also so large! Amazing quality and value of food. There is also a related, more fast food type store connected, I also like their loaded fries with chicken a lot :)

After a late night out it's the spot to grab some food. They messed up my order sadly but still got to enjoy whatever they gave us.

That was delicious! A hole in the wall. We went to visit the cherry blossoms and passed by this restaurant. It had a nice Covered area outside with picnic tables where we were able to sit with our pup! We got the chicken shawarma and beef/lamb shawarma, and Greek fries! They were all delicious. When you bite into the shawarma, it's crunchy! Perfect amount of sauce too. Very tasty! According to my UW student, this is a go to place for her and her friends.

My son has been talking about Aladdin since he's been in high school. He always goes here for the Shawarma his favorite! So I haven't had the chance to try it so I wanted to try the Gyro. It's been hard to find a decent Gyro place to go to. The lamb was seasoned to perfection and the NAAN I really love the taste and texture it was the best I have had in a long time. I going back soon for sure! pictured below

I love the gyros, shawarmas and fries here. They are open late and everything I've ordered always tastes amazing. The portions are fulfilling.

My boyfriend has been coming here for years and will go out of his way for their gyros. This was my first time! Everything was perfect. Fries were hot and a huge portion. The cashier was super sweet and welcoming. I loved that he was playing some old school country and then switched it up to more middle eastern music. Great vibes.

Late to the Aladdin Gyro-Cery party, but after it being recently vetted by The Homie and his good friend, I figured it was time to check it out. Plus this business and adjacent burger joint is open daily from 10am to 2am the next day along University Way (The Ave) in Seattle's University District. It has seating indoors, as well as, covered outdoor sidewalk seating too. Drove there with The Homie on 5/26/24. I asked are you sure you want to eat here since he had just dined here twice recently. I got an emphatic yes. So we ventured out close to 10pm and got nearby street parking. Must of found that sweet spot, because after ordering and finding a table, a very long line had formed at the ordering counter. The line was out the door by the time we were leaving. Good thing about such places is that food turns over fast and frequently. I chose 9A Lamb & Beef Gyro - loaded pita with fresh shredded lettuce, bit of onion, tender slices of meat, and tzaziki sauce. Add most with a fork then polished it off with the pita. Wanted to eat and not wear my gyro. The Homie chose 11B Chicken Shawarma - again another loaded wrap with generous amount of grilled succulent chicken. He had this twice before and can attest that it has been consistent whether eaten at lunch time or late night. He also ordered Aladdin's Fries. I kid you not, it is a large takeout box full of fries which he customized with with beef & lamb gyro meat and garlic sauce. Previously he had also added feta cheese. Definitely shareable. Pro tip: If you pay in cash, you get free Kirkland/Costco bottles of water. They take debit/credit cards at the ordering counter. Grab additional napkins too. Ginormous, straightforward food from a fairly sizeable menu. Reasonably priced and late hours. Perfect for college students or folks wanting a decent late night, no frills meal.

Located along the Ave next to UW, Just dropped in for a little lamb schwarma before attending a 3 hour event. Took about 10 minutes for the order to come out. Outdoor tables weren't very clean but food was really tasty, Gyros and schwarma cost around $10. Great university food. Just needs a little cleaning up.

They opened in 1993, and I believe I have been coming to them since! I'm not sure how the day time crowd is, but this is one of my favorite late night meals. Open til early morning hours, and always the same taste. I will continue to keep this place on my roster.

Filled with corporate slop bowls to fuel up tech bros, you won't find a decent meal anywhere on this side of the lake. But Tanoor is kind of like that special someone who has been there your whole life but you've always looked past for greener pastures. This restaurant was staring me right in the eyes for years, and I didn't realize how magnificent it was until today. When you walk in you are greeted by warm, fresh and fluffy pita. Guess what, IT COMES WITH THE MEAL! Everyone knows I'm a sucker for some free bread. But don't let these Lebanese pillows fill you up, the dip marathon has just begun. The menu here is unlike anything I've ever seen. You can get lost trying to figure out what to order for lunch, so I would advise consulting the waitstaff for guidance through this delightful maze. I just looked on their menu to figure out what the fries that I ate were called, and I can't find them for the life of me. But they had their own incredible dip completely covering them. At one point we had 4 different dips on the table, and I'm not sure how they got there. 1) The dip on the fries 2) Spicy hummus (not that spicy, incredibly tasty) 3) Za'tar that comes with the pita 4) Yogurt sauce that came with the Kabob combo Everything comes with something else here. And since I was having an electric conversation with my good friend, I sort of lost track of everything that we ordered. But if you love dipping things in other things as much as I do, you will love Tanoor!

I highly recommend the combo for two to three people as you get a variety of different appetizers and all of the main kabobs. However, a couple of things that really made this experience mediocre. First, the meat was overcooked even though I asked for medium rare. Most of the meat came out medium well. The rice was undercooked and hard when you bit into it. The server could have been more attentive.. didn't come back to check on us, even though the restaurant wasn't super busy. The biggest disappointment is that this establishment passes on a 5% fee to help pay for their staff's benefits. They stay it's optional and they can take it off but it's very distasteful. The owner should reconsider this and build this expense into the pricing of their menu. Otherwise their wait staff is going to feel slighted when customers leave less tip because of this additional fee. Overall, this is a solid place, but the experience was just average considering all aspects, and therefore the three star rating.

We ordered a couple of truffle mushroom smash burgers and a spicy lover's smash burger, and every single one was fantastic. They delivered exactly what you want from a smash burger: juicy patties with perfectly crispy, caramelized edges, all tucked into soft, toasty brioche buns. The buns were a standout - they held everything together beautifully and soaked up the juices without getting soggy. The fries were crisp and satisfying, rounding out the meal nicely. This is definitely a spot we'll be adding to our regular rotation.

I can say the meat looked like high quality and tasted great! The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because I personally wasn't a huge fan of the banchan (side dishes) that were offered. There was salad, that had like the full bottom parts of lettuce in it, there was onions in some kind of sauce, kimchi, just not a lot of things I personally like to eat. I would say their banchan definitely leans more towards Asian clientel, so if you go with someone who is a picky eater or not super familiar with asian/korean food, then just be aware of that I'd say. Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. The food here is so good, though, and prices are so reasonable, that I truly do not care that the experience is pretty bare bones otherwise.
