Side of marinated chicken breast (1/2 left)-yum!
    Sheltiemomm S.

Food: Fresh & zingy marinades, sauces to marry with everything. Loved the chicken breast, garlic sauce, Babaganoush (eggplant dip)& cheese/spinach pastries. Service: My server was gently helpful, efficient. Ambiance: Patio seating refreshing, energizing. Inside is authentic, cozy & comfort inducing. Yelpers, this spot is waiting to serve you & delight with unique flavors!

Very dependable restaurant. I have been here many times. The staff is very nice and personable. The atmosphere is a little worn at the edges but it's fine. The chicken Mediterranean salad was very good. I loved the fresh romaine, mint, Persian cucumbers and radishes. I wish it didn't have the fried pita chips on top. I left feeling like I ate a very healthy lunch and I had improved energy.

Chicken Shawarma Wrap with Lentil Soup- lunch special

I always enjoy coming for lunch to Aladdin because of the great service and beautiful decor. Today I tried a new menu item and it was delicious. Friend and I both ordered the $14 lunch special of chicken shawarma wrap and drink with choice of lentil soup, salad, rice or fries. We both got the lentil soup and it was soo good. The yellow lentil soup was creamy and full of flavor and spices. The chicken shawarma was very flavorful with creamy tzatziki and sliced tomatoes in a warm pita wrap.

Great service and awesome variety of Mediterranean dishes. Nice outdoor patio seating and nice decor inside. Definitely recommend. Plenary of parking on the shopping center in front. Very limited hours: most days they close by 8pm.

Aladdin Mediterranean has become a San Diego institution. Always satisfying and the staff is always wonderful to be with. Sadly, a restaurant by the same name in Clairemont had some health issues and the San Diego Hillcrest, which has nothing to do with that one is losing business. if you know and like Aladdin Hillcrest, please support them right now. They need it. Had yet another great dinner there last night.

Aladdin's Meza Platter Hummus, tabouleh, baba ghanouj, Chicken and meat Shawarma, dolma, falafels, baked kebeh, tzaziki, tahini, garlic sauce, pickles + olives Loved this!!! This was so fun to eat, trying a little bit of just about everything on the menu. I ordered this to go, and the staff packaged everything up super nicely and securely. The meat schwarma was pretty good, the chicken a little dry. The falafels were amazing--so, so light and fluffy and crispy on the outside, and I'm not usually a falafel fan!! The kebeh was delicious, loved all the different sauces on the side of this platter. The baba ghanouj was one of my favorite things. This came with a few pitas as well, which were great! Only downside was that this was a little pricey, even as much food as it was.

I used to eat here once a week when I lived in San Diego.

Aladdin is the restaurant with which I judge all Mediterranean food. And today all those memories came crashing back with every bite. I can honestly say NO OTHER restaurant has captured the texture, taste and truly exquisite culinary experience as a meal here and I don't think they ever will.

Meza which includes chicken and beef shawarma, falafel, hummus, babaganoush, grape leaves, tabbouleh, and pita.

We love coming to Aladdin. The food and customer service is always fantastic. We typically always get the same thing when we come which includes lebanese coffee, meza, and knafeh.

Somehow this restaurant has the same name as the other Alladin located on Clairemont Mesa but are no longer related and I guess many years ago they were shared common owners. The Lebanese food was pretty good but didn't justify the high price. Service was attentive and on the ball, but not sure I would come back as the other Aladdin location really spoiled me with their different pita bread, and falafel's. Not sure I would return unless came with a large group to do their family offerings.

1 Star. This was one…read moreof the most shocking and uncomfortable dining experiences I have ever had in the United States. During my visit, I was explicitly told by management that seating in the main dining area was unavailable, and I was directed to a significantly less desirable table. However, as the evening continued, I personally witnessed other guests under similar circumstances being seated in the very area that I had been told was unavailable. If the rules were applied equally to everyone, I would have no issue accepting them. But when the same rules appear to be selectively enforced, and different guests are treated differently under the same circumstances, the issue goes far beyond a simple seating arrangement. What made the experience even more troubling was that this was not the action of an individual server. The decisions were made and enforced by management. I made multiple attempts to understand the reasoning behind the arrangement, yet I never received a clear, consistent, or reasonable explanation. Instead, I watched the rules seem to change depending on who the guest was. Throughout the entire experience, I did not feel the professionalism, hospitality, or respect one would expect from a restaurant that presents itself as a premier dining destination. Rather, I was left with the unmistakable feeling of being intentionally excluded. As a person of color, I cannot ignore what I personally experienced and observed. I never expected that in today's America, at a restaurant that promotes itself as providing exceptional service and hospitality, I would walk away feeling such a strong sense of unequal treatment and exclusion because of my background and appearance. A truly great restaurant is not defined only by its food, views, or atmosphere. It is defined by its ability to treat every guest with equal dignity, respect, and fairness. Unfortunately, what I witnessed from the management team was selective enforcement of rules, a lack of transparency, and a troubling disregard for how their actions affect guests. The greatest disappointment was not where I was seated. It was realizing that some guests appeared to receive respect, accommodation, and consideration that others did not. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone who values fairness, respect, and equal treatment.

I just love the food, plenty of good parking in the back of the restaurant. Easy on your wallet with a vast menu......... No one cooks like the Lebanese. The lady working there didnt greet us, ask us if we are eating in or taking out, she just stood and stared at us until we said something. It was a tad awkward. Rest of our time there was a bit similar, it just seemed like she really didn't want to be there. Second, the food was so bad. We got chicken shawarma wraps and they were 50% sauce, and the rest was lettuce, tomato, and boiled unseasoned chicken. My friend and I tried so hard to eat it but wow.. honestly worst wrap of my life. It was also on happy hour but we got charged full price anyway. At that point we were ready to go so didnt even argue the extra charge it was just a bad experience overall. Im so confused about all the good reviews! Maybe we just got the wrong thing..

I wanted something quick for lunch and saw that this had good reviews so decided to check it out…read more It's located in the back of the liquor store and once you place your order you can pay up front. I went with a godfather sandwich and the first thing I noticed is that the sandwich is absolutely stuffed. They are not shy about putting meat in here which I appreciate as sometimes sandwich spots give a less than desirable amount. I was also surprised at how good the Dutch crunch I chose tasted (it had a slight chew but was also fluffy at the same time). It definitely wasn't the cheapest sandwich (after tax it was around 19 bucks) but based on the ingredients and amount of meat I'd say it's fair value!
