Don't be fooled by "bakery" in their name. They have a full menu of sweet and savory meals including bowls, wraps, salads, and more. Came in here while I waited for my car at the shop, and they are generous with their portions... big enough to share. I got the Mediterranean bowl with beef, and it was flavorful. The meat was marinated well. You definitely need to eat it all together, or else the marinade on the meat will be too powerful. Their bowl also comes with the pita, which was a good addition, as they give you a big scoop of hummus. I give their food a solid 8/10 - flavorful and filling. The place is pretty spacious with seating inside and out. I appreciate the plants and framed Lebanese artwork. Something to note... this is not a full service restaurant. For the price you pay, you get a lot of food! Their garlic sauce was very delicious and there's a lot of seating here as well. The only downside is that the parking is really bad around here but it is northpark. It's also right next to the Lafayette hotel so if you wanted to walk around after the hefty meal, it's at a perfect location! This place has some of the best Lebanese food I've ever had in my entire life. We got the spinach and cheese pie, which had the most exquisite bread and gooey cheese filling. It was delicious. Service was prompt, and the staff was very friendly. We sat outside on the patio. It was treated to traditional Lebanese music and a nice cool San Diego breeze.. I have always loved Mama's. When I first moved to San Diego in 2001, I walked to Mama's nearly every day for lunch. I loved the homemade Saaj bread. Now the bread is not consistently good and at it's worst it's soggy. The falafel is still good if you can find it before you get to the bottom of your wrap. Lately I've found it at the bottom falling out of the wrap usually drenched in sauce. The chicken in my husband's wrap has been burnt the last 3 times he ordered it. Mama' s used to be great a long time ago, and sadly they have gone down hill. I ate there today and got sick. It's so sad because Mama's was so good and authentic when I lived in North Park but I guess I'll try some of the new restaurants. Service was prompt however I was disappointed by the fact that the zaatar was so scarce in my bread. See the pictures. My wife did not like her cheese and zaatar even though I did like the cheese in it . The bread was average. Seating is outside and very basic. It matches the description hole in the wall. I visited in the summer and expect to have flies around you. My wife and I think Forn Saj few miles down the street was cheaper, bigger, cleaner and tastier zaatar and the cheese was excellent there.
