Kofta Kafta Wrap, Baba Ghanouj Wrap, and Falafel appetizer
    Paige N.

Very solid lunch spot that I am looking forward to returning to! The wraps were amazing. Chewy, freshly baked wraps with generous amounts of sauce/spreads. Loved the baba ghanouj especially. Very authentic tasting. Wasn't overly impressed with the falafel, I just think it could have done with more herbs, but it was still decent. Can't wait to try more menu items.

Love this spot. Always came here when I was hell hungry cuz I knew I was gonna get full off the gigantic wraps! Still making the same at the new location. It's much bigger and nicer and lots of windows to see what's happening on El Cajon blvd. Food is still great and tasty

Take-out vegetarian plate. Stuffed gape leaf instead of babaganoush. YUM!

OPEN @ 2141 El Cajon Blvd. as Mama's Mediterranean Kitchen! We'll miss the cozy space on Alabama Street but the seating area here is much bigger. Alex the owners son, came to my table to let me know my Kafta wrap will be a few minutes. Seems opening night was a success and the family needs to prepare some menu items for today's lunch service. My mouthwatering footlong Kafta wrap, sub tabouli for hummus and tahini dipping cup was delicious! $13.99 + tax and tip will be all I need to eat today. The fragrant Kafta, rolled into little portions, made every bite delectable-Kafta and tabouli in every bite! Always delicious! Metered street parking. Bus, walk.

Their new location is stunning! Plus, their food keeps getting better. I don't know how that's possible, as every time we come we think it's the best meal we've had. Everything we have tried has been fantastic. Garlic chicken wrap is phenomenal and perfectly balanced with the ingredients, on their mouthwatering saj bread. Lebnah sandwiches are always classic and good. Ful medamas is excellent, and hard to find. It's more stew-like, and mouthwatering. Service always great. New location has a super clean bathroom, bright large windows, beautiful wall art and plants.

For the price you pay, you get a lot of food! Their garlic sauce was very delicious and there's a lot of seating here as well. The only downside is that the parking is really bad around here but it is northpark. It's also right next to the Lafayette hotel so if you wanted to walk around after the hefty meal, it's at a perfect location! The restaurant worker made sure we all had utensils and overall it was a pleasant experience. Midway through our meal, they also started to play music in the background.

This place has some of the best Lebanese food I've ever had in my entire life. We got the spinach and cheese pie, which had the most exquisite bread and gooey cheese filling. It was delicious. Service was prompt, and the staff was very friendly. We sat outside on the patio. It was treated to traditional Lebanese music and a nice cool San Diego breeze.. I know they're gonna be moving shortly but I'm confident they'll offer the same. Great food at the new location. This is a must try if you like Lebanese food.

hummus plate Excellent, delicious whipped smooth

We love mama's! The new location is conveniently located on the corner with lots of dining space inside and outside. Clean, sleek decor with a nice vibe Owner and sons were very hospitality and welcoming. I love that this is family owned and run restaurant. Makes it so authentic! They were very busy but the food came out warm, timely and tasted so delicious. Highly recommend

The garlic chicken wrap was really good and I like the new locations look! I will definitely be back. However I paid 5$ for combo and the side salad I got (no drink) was super small so I don't recommend upgrading. It was my first time getting the wrap versus the salad

It just wasn't very good. The pita was the best part, very fresh. The fries are the worst, and for $15 I feel like I should get more meat. Idk, it wasn't bad and I will try this place again. It just was disappointing given the reviews for this place are good.

I love trying new foods so will have to come back with more friends and try other things on the menu. The downside of this place was being seated on the right side of the restaurant near the carry out section. This was the pit of despair. I noticed that most of the staff goes to the other end first, and as a result 4 tables got seated after us and all of them had food on their table before we managed to flag one of the staff. It was definitely busy in there but he replied that he was simply going in order, but apparently order or left side to right side instead of arrival. I recommend trying to get seated on the side w the stained glass windows for better service. Other than that, the experience overall was pleasant.

The staff is friendly and greeted me right away. They were very attentive and kept my drink topped off without me even having to ask. Now for the food... The food was delicious! I ordered the falafels, spinach fatayer, and a chicken shawarma pizza. The falafels were crispy and fresh, exactly what you want in a falafel. The spinach fatayer was hot, perfectly baked, and huge. The chicken shawarma pizza stole the show out of the appetizers. It had so much flavor, and the cheese was amazing. That cheese stretched like it was in a commercial. I wish I had ordered two! For my entrées, I ordered the lamb and chicken kabobs with a side of fries. This plate was unbelievably tender. The center of the lamb was perfectly cooked with a beautiful pink center, and I love a hot pink center. Makes my mouth water. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the rice. The fries were great, too. I also ordered the chicken shawarma plate and the chicken kabob wrap. The shawarma plate was packed with flavor, and the seasoning was spot on. The rice was cooked to perfection. The wrap was so thick, I wanted to slap it like a big ol' booty. Lastly, the garlic sauce was the real MVP. I wish they bottled it up and sold it because I'd definitely be taking some home. The pita bread was thin, fresh, and cut to the perfect size for wrapping up anything you want. Overall, try this joint because it's dope. The food, the aroma, and the vibe will remind you of simpler times, sitting around the table with family enjoying a big dinner. Or, if you've ever been deployed, it'll remind you of those moments overseas when you miss everything back home, but for a little while, an incredible meal makes everything feel okay. Do yourself a favor and give this joint a try. You won't regret it.
