This gym has rarely had more than 12 people inside and it is larger than the many AF gyms I have worked out on the island as well as the mainland. The temporary is always perfect as I have found several AF's are freezing. The equipment is dated but everything is usually in working order. The layout. equipment placement, and flow of the gym is good. Cons - it needs a deep cleaning | some areas of carpet needs repair or be replaced | the small refrigerator rarely has the free water bottle as advertised but they will provide RedBull on occasion | the water fountain / dispenser for sure needs to be cleaned | they need more than 1 stair master | Bottom line, I really like this Anytime Fitness location and I think the staff does the best they can in most areas. Ownership should dig deep and make a few repairs starting with carpet that is tapped down near stretching area and the press machines.

BUT, their policy requires that I pay for December and January before I will actually no longer be a member. I've been attempting to cancel my membership for a few months. I called their toll free number only to be told that this location requires termination in person. I've called and texted since then with no response. I finally went in person and saw on the door that service is by appointment only. I have an appointment set for tomorrow. It is unfortunate because up until now, I've appreciated my membership. I am canceling because I got my own rowing machine, which is why I became a member in the first place.

Unfortunately, plans changed and I live too far from the gym location to keep a membership active. HOWEVER, I did stop by the location on several occasions to ask questions and worked with the admin Manish via email on several occasions. EVERYONE that works there is so freindly, inviting and helpful. I met with a female, can't remeber her name but it was for personal trainging and she was the sweetest. The owner was extremely pleasent and the environment in general was so welcoming and calm. I wish I lived closer so that I could be an actual memeber here and if my location ever changes, I'd be back in a heart beat. The facilities are also super nice, very clean and everything you could ask for in a gym. THIS is the place to be!

I asked where it was and was asked if I was here for the workout. I said yeah. I followed her through the gate/side of building and boom there it was. She gave me a hug and welcomed me. After that I signed in and was greeted with more hugs. I signed up for the free Saturday class on line the night before. Now it's time to get rip!

If I'm being honest, I've mostly been using this place to shower when I'm out and about and need to freshen up before work. I've really enjoyed the shower experience here. I appreciate the privacy, I like that they provide soap, and, most importantly, the showers don't make me feel uncomfortable. I feel safe here, and that goes a long way for me. I signed up through Kaiser with One Pass. You pay about $200, and as long as you go at least 45 times, you get your money back. I thought that was a pretty cool incentive and very doable, so it's time to commit, lol. My health deserves it. Time is an interesting thing. We all have the same 24 hours in a day. It's just a matter of deciding what we want to do with them. I also appreciate that this gym is open 24 hours, so I can come whenever it fits my schedule. The lockers are convenient, and I like that they have a pool and a sauna. I also noticed they have a newer area that I have yet to check out. I hope it offers massage machines. I'm looking forward to trying that when I have the time, so I'll save my full thoughts until I've experienced more of what the gym has to offer. So far, so good. I've only been here about three or four times, but my first impressions have been positive.

I was so excited when I signed up for 24 Hour Fitness Kapolei. I had recently moved and decided to…read moreswitch from UFC Gym because it was much closer to my new home and significantly more affordable. If you're trying to decide between UFC Gym and 24 Hour Fitness based solely on price, let me tell you, this is your sign to spend just a little extra and choose UFC. My very first experience at 24 Hour Fitness was absolutely terrible. My friend and I, two easygoing women who were genuinely excited to start working out there, were greeted by one of the rudest front desk employees I've ever encountered named napoleon. From the moment we walked in, he acted as though we had done something wrong. His attitude was cold, dismissive, and openly unfriendly and wore his dark large sunglasses indoors which I thought was strange and unprofessional. We were so uncomfortable by the way we were treated that I seriously considered speaking with a manager. What made it even more disappointing is that many women already feel intimidated walking into a gym. It can take a lot of courage to start a fitness journey, especially when you're new, trying to build confidence, or simply stepping outside your comfort zone. Imagine finally working up the courage to walk through those doors only to be met with unprofessional behavior that makes you feel unwelcome and judged. No one should have that experience. The interaction completely ruined the vibe of our workout. We actually cut our session short because we felt so uncomfortable. We left confused, discouraged, and wondering why we were being treated that way. While I can overlook older equipment, I can't overlook an environment where employees seem unhappy, angry, and uninterested in treating members with basic respect. Environment matters. The atmosphere starts the moment someone walks through the front door. At UFC Gym, I never experienced anything remotely close to this. The staff was always professional, friendly, and welcoming. The equipment is newer, the facility feels cleaner, and the overall atmosphere is much more positive. In my opinion, it's worth paying the extra money for an environment where people are willing and able to offer basic customer service and professionalism. Unfortunately, that first experience completely ruined our membership. We ended up letting our year-long memberships expire and chose not to renew. To make matters worse, when we returned another time, we were greeted by the same employee and received the same treatment, which only reinforced our decision. We barely came back after that initial incident because it left such a bad impression. To management: I strongly encourage you to pay closer attention to how your front desk staff interact with members. First impressions matter. Your front desk employees are often the first and last interaction people have with your business, and they set the tone for the entire experience. Someone who consistently makes members feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or judged may not be the best fit for a customer-facing position. A gym should be a place where people feel encouraged, supported, and motivated, not discouraged before they even start their workout.
