Even with 19 years of going to Alamo for movies across the country. Truly a massive fan, I went in open minded about the new QR codes and it ended up being as bullshit as I expected. TLDR: FUCK the need to use phones in the theater. Insane decision. Repeal it. First off, once I sat down...I watched the employees walk past as if I didn't exist, typically I'd have a water right away and a nice greeting. Took the human experience right out of it. Then it was too dark to put in my credit card number. Dropped my credit card into the crack of my seat in the meantime. Then I order my pretzels and of course one of them comes out raw inside, which is unfortunate, so I "requested service" on my cell phone -- no one came for 15 minutes. (Reminder the button used to take only moments.) Eventually I chirped at a server in the row below, enraging the woman next to me (reminder, there used to be a very satisfying button, which I tried to press and saw it had a fucking child lock on it and I felt like an infant that couldn't get into a pantry. Nuts). Then I try to order my dinner and somehow double order pizzas and have to explain to the woman that I cannot eat more than one pizza. All the while, I'm fumbling my cell phone and trying not to lose it and I see the woman next to me ordering and a tinder notification pops up. The details are streaming back now. Anyway... Way to take the human experience completely out of the only novel movie-going experience out there. Will be organizing to get my friends to leave reviews as well. We were all annoyed even with open minds.

Alamo Drafthouse - Wrigleyville is my go-to date night spot for my husband and I! The decor inside of Alamo Drafthouse - Wrigleyville reminds me of an arcade from the 80s. They have a ton of throwback 80s movie posters along the walls and the sitting area by the bar has a lot of retro decor. Alamo Drafthouse - Wrigleyville has changed the way I go to the movies. It's made it nearly impossible for me to go to a movie theater that doesn't have recliner seats and table side food delivery. The biggest draw of Alamo Drafthouse - Wrigleyville (for me) is the comfortable seating and table side ordering. The food at Alamo Drafthouse - Wrigleyville is surprisingly delicious for it to be a movie theater. I've had a few of the entrees and I can say the top entree is the chicken club sandwich but a close second is the burger. The portion sizes are pretty sizable so you could easily share one entree with no issue. The one downside of Alamo Drafthouse - Wrigleyville is that it's small in comparison to other theaters so you have to stay on top of buying your movie tickets early. They typically show movies for one week to make room for other movies coming out. I've seen them have a movie available longer than a week but it has to be a big movie, like Superman.

The hubby and I have date night at the Alamo a few times a month. It's perfect because you not only go there to watch a movie, but they serve food and drinks. They menus has the typical popcorn, plus much more. Burgers, pizza, candy, shakes, coffee, drinks! They also have game nights and karaoke nights it's not just a theater. Everyone here is kind and friendly. Server's are experienced and knowledgeable. Always a great time here.

Came here to see the new Superman movie. The theater has a lot of nostalgic posters and some memorabilia. I like that they have a gift shop as well. We had pretty nice seats & the staff was very friendly. I ordered a chicken sandwich with lemon pepper. It was pretty tasty, I was surprised it was so juicy, fresh sand flavorful. I got the bottomless Diet Coke. It was super easy to request more. It was very worth it. A great experience overall.

I absolutely love love love this movie theater. I have a monthly seasonal pass which is worth it if you're a regular. They have some fantastic appetizers, a loyalty program, super comfy seating and great service every time. I think it's cool they always have throwback movies showing. I will always choose Alamo over any movie theater :)

Favorite movie theater in the city located right next to Wrigley Field of all places. While it used to be a standalone theater, it was recently acquired by Sony. I can't say I've noticed any difference in quality of food or price personally, it is kind of sad in a sense. Their food is actually really good. I usually order the Chicken Tender meal and we usually get the Churro Popcorn. I would actually recommend getting there prior to the ads, because then you can get your order taken and food delivered prior to the start of the movie. The theaters are also well kept and the seats are new recliner seats. I haven't noticed any damage yet which is nice. They also have a cool retro theme to the movie theater where they will be playing clips from old movies and you can actually rent movies at the front.

Alamo Drafthouse is such a fun place for a movie themed party or event. I've watched several movies here now, including a recent "Elf" movie watch party. The host and servers make the atmosphere fun and enjoyable all while coming in and out of the theatre with drink and food orders without disturbing your movie experience. Patrons often dress in characters aligned with the show (Like we did)! Food and drinks are expensive, but very tasty popcorn and chicken tenders with French fries. During themed events you can also order special movie themed cocktails and entrees. Singing along to movies is not required, but not frowned upon either, during special screenings. Afterwards, there are many fun bars you can "crawl" to and see the cute Pop-Ups during the holidays.

Came to see Sinners! This is a dine in movie theater that takes your orders and has all the food lined up and delivered to your seat before the movie starts. I found the soft pretzel a bit too salty for my taste, but the truffle popcorn was amazing and they give you a lot in the bowl (very shareable with friends). The seats were really comfy as well and I enjoyed my experience overall

One of my favorite movie theaters in the city! It might just be my top one! I love the 80s theme. The decor is so fitting. I did grow up with VHS and old tv sets so it was cool to see them again. I love the menu items. Very good selection but lately they have been out of a few things I want. It's okay because I'll just get another item they offer since they have a lot. The food came out fast! They come take your order fast, too! Even when it was last call, a worker came up with a sign to let us know! I came here to see Deadpool and Wolverine. So of course they were sold out of the popcorn bucket and glass themed Deadpool stuff but they did have the chimichangas! Those were great! I'd come back because it's such a cool theater! Parking is easy and you can easily access the theatre to the parking lot.

My wife is disabled. So I try to minimize the distance she needs to walk whenever I can. When parking in the garage or street drop-off, how far is the walk? We had a bad experience in the Los Angeles ADH, and I want to plan a fun date night here.

The garage is about a block away, but I got lucky in this crowded area and got a spot across the street.

This place is great for groups or large families. Plan on spending about 3 hours for dinner and the show. Recommendation: Get there a little before 6:00 and line up at the back door (that is where the entrance is). At 6:00, use the big, brass knocker and knock on the door. Then, when Gloves comes to the door, whisper "I am here to make a deposit." "Gloves" is super fun, so play this up. No other spoilers so you can enjoy the show. Food. We had the steak, and it was delish! Perfectly done at medium rare and full of flavor. Loved the mixed vegetables and baked potato, too. The rolls and salad were average. Cocktails. Great selection of fun, themed cocktails. Look for "Al's Favorite" on the chalk board at the bar and on the top of the cocktail menu. All four drinks we had were great. Mugsy makes some good giggle juice. Service. EXCELLENT. The team is talented, and they work hard to serve you while putting on the show. They stayed in character the whole time, and the jokes were FANtastic! Finally. RELAX and ENJOY the show. I have not smiled and laughed that much since the Nate Betgatze show at Bridgestone at Christmas. Vito and his team are simply FABULOUS and FUN! This gets a MUST DO if in the Chicago area. Definitely a Siskel and Ebert "Two Thumbs Up." Now, make your reservation and get "the rest of the story" at Vito's Vault.

It's basically a cabaret - a combination of fine dining and interactive Cirque Du Soleil-style entertainment in an intimate setting. The elaborate décor will blow your mind. It's absolutely gorgeous. The quality of the food far surpassed typical dinner theatre fare. Each of the four courses was artfully plated, served at the proper temperature, and downright delicious. The goat cheese bell pepper scones app was more of an amuse bouche than a true course and no other bread was served (unless you order Parkerhouse rolls, an à la carte add-on that costs $16. Indeed!). After that, though, portions were ample. The bourbon peached glazed salmon entrée, plated with inventive side dishes, was perfection. Other à la carte dishes and entrée upgrades are available but no one in our party felt the need to order those. The service was impeccable. Variety acts were interspersed between courses - singers, dancers, a juggler, a comedian, an aerialist, and more. There was a lot of talent but it was comic actor Joe who stole the show, portraying several roles. Totally enjoyable and well worth the ticket price.

I bought tickets to the 1:30 pm show on Mother's Day. Tickets were $76.95 each, but I was able to get 15% off directly from their website for Mother's Day so I actually paid $65.41 each. I also decided to upgrade to their Queen's package which is an additional $30 per ticket. So overall, I paid around $190 for my mother and I. The doors open at noon- which is around the time we got there. For check in- this is where you are assigned a knight to root for. We got the black and white knight. We also got our VIP lanyards and our package came with taking 2 photos! They didn't open the doors to the arena until approximately 1:00 pm. They have an area just outside of the arena where you can order drinks from the bar, buy souvenirs, watch the horses eat, etc. Once the arena opened we were seated in table number 3 (which is actually the first row). For food we had a tomato basil soup, garlic bread, a very large chicken, and corn on the Cobb. With the Queen package you also get a slice of cake. The food surpassed my expectations, it was really really really good! Everything was. There was not one mediocre dish on my plate- everything was tasty and I wasn't expecting that. My piece of chicken was humongous. The whole meal was super filling. Side-note: we had to eat everything with our hands, because this is medieval times! So, there will be no silverware for you. And of course, my knight won! So that was a plus. Overall, this is a great event for all ages. Me and my party had tons of fun, and we're all grown. So, I can only imagine how much fun this is for children! Plus we left with so much stuff. I took home a crown, a glass (I got to keep from ordering from the bar), I took home my lanyard, my little flag I was waving around, and I took home our pictures that was included in the package. So, you definitely do not leave empty handed. I really enjoyed this experience! I thought it was super fun!

Everything is designed in a unique medieval style and looks absolutely amazing. All of the staff are dressed in character as well, which really adds to the atmosphere. The show itself was exciting and entertaining. Eating dinner without utensils was also a fun experience because it really brings you closer to the spirit of that time period. Our waitress was wonderful and completely committed to her role! What made me laugh the most was my son crying when "our" blue knight lost the battle. He thought it was all real and cried so hard I told him that the ambulance came, the knight was treated, and now he's okay That immediately cheered him up. The knight also threw flowers into the audience -- I caught one, and my son was unbelievably proud. He said, "The knight threw a flower to my mommy!" Such a wonderful evening! Since we can have "regular" dinners anytime, I think most people can treat themselves once in a while to an experience like this and step out of their everyday routine.

In the end, we had a blast but there was a rough start. The bad: It's a truly cash cash bar - no cards accepted. There was an ATM down the hallway, though it had kind of wild fees ($7 if I'm remembering correctly) - thankfully, my bank refunds that kind of fee, but if yours doesn't, it's a steep fee to pay to get any drink that isn't water or coffee - even a can of soda (coke brands only). From what I heard from my table mates, cocktails were strong. The beginning of the experience was rough - there were passed appetizers brought to the tables, and each person was allowed to get one of each (a mini pillsbury biscuit, maybe the size of a quarter and a freezer section meatball on a toothpick). Quite frankly, I wouldn't have been AS disappointed with the food if they didn't try to sell this as the "first course" and they just skipped this entirely. The good: this was a unique experience and a lot of fun once the show actually started. Most of my "the bad" pertained to the first 30 minutes at most. From there, our table of strangers ended up having a blast together and enjoyed throwing out theories. We didn't quite solve the mystery, but figured out a good number of pieces to it which was fun!
