Joy Cleaners has been one of the best. I came in after a week worth of laundry with a flight the next morning. They were kind enough to have my laundry done the next day so I could make my flight, which is normally out of the question for them because of the high volume they handle. I was genuinely grateful they made it happen. I also want to add this: I have had some horrible experiences at other places where my clothing came back forever damaged, shrunk, stained, or treated like it did not matter. That did not happen here. Everything came back clean, folded, and handled with care, and it felt good coming back home to clothes that still looked like mine. On top of that, I was glad to support a local family business that clearly takes pride in their work. If you value good service and careful handling, in my humble opinion, Joy Cleaners is worth it.

At drop off they said, "if we call and you don't pick up, you go to the back of the line." They called on 12/26 and I was in the theater so could not answer. I called back within the hour and left a voice mail. Not a peep heard since then. I am generally a kind and optimistic person but this shop receives zero sympathy from me. I only went there because it is a licensed Janome dealer and my 5-year old Janome needed a tune up. What a mistake.​ Poor customer service, can't keep up with the meager business they have, and who knows about value because I never got an estimate nor a bill. What a horrible experience.

I was with my friend when she tried on the dress (off the rack) and I was worried as to how the dress could be made to fit her (even though she is teenie tiny) but her wedding dress was two sizes too small! Katherine made my friend's dress fit her PERFECTLY (from adding the two sizes and somehow making the bra/breast area fit perfectly without a gap (I feel like this is difficult to accomplish with a wedding gown and I see lots of brides with the gap around the bra area and it bothers me). I'm super picky and I was SOLD on hiring Katherine when I saw my friend on her wedding day - she seriously looked like a model in a movie! The alterations ended up being taken a little too far and it lays weirdly on the sides (puckering etc), and when I received my dress back, it had visible dirt/stains on the back of the dress that were not there when I brought it in. My dress was brand new when I dropped it off, and when I expressed concern, I was told that it came that way/she didn't know what happened, which was frustrating because that simply was not true. I now have to spend additional time and money getting my wedding dress professionally cleaned myself, and no discount or effort was made to make the situation right. Communication throughout the entire process was also unclear. I was never given a firm completion date, which created unnecessary stress during an already stressful time leading up to a wedding. Wedding dress alterations are expensive, and for the amount I paid, I expected much more care, accountability, and communication. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed with the overall experience. While she was kind personally, I would not return and would not recommend her services.
