A driver's license the lady precedes to tell me that I can't have a car because she can't verify my address that I have lived at for 20 years. That's what DPS does when they provide you with one. There is only 1 worker, who I will admit was very nice and kind, but if there's a line, you'll be waiting for a long time. Expect to be late to wherever you need to be if you use this enterprise location. Corporate should really intervene and add more than 1 worker to this busy story - this is not the usual experience I have with National/Enterprise. AVOID RENTING A CAR FROM HERE. read more

Any location that I have been to even when they are swamped, slammed, er well busy the staff takes care of you in a polite and professional manner. Any questions they have are quickly addressed. (Side swipe note..lol if I didn't know any better Enterprise has a college for the utmost training and service of their customers. I think they do!) I didn't want to drive to Richardson where I originally rented the vehicle. so called a location closer. YEAH team! I could return it close with out any extra charges PLUS my insurance, (STATE FARM) covered the rental. (FULL disclosure you pay for that with you policy.) They are a great company to rent a car from, they will do their utmost to go out of their way for you. As always, pun intended, your mileage my vary. read more

If I could give negative stars I could, horrible service... stay home if you are having a bad day

On Saturday October 3rd, 2020 I had an 11:00pm reservation at the Fort Lauderdale airport with Enterprise. My flight landed early which allowed for me to arrive at approximately 10:35pm to check in. At that time I was greeted by Darrian (an Enterprise employee) who informed me that enterprise was not able to accommodate my reservation for an oversized vehicle. Not only were they not able to accommodate my previously booked reservation, but you could not assist at all with ANY vehicle during an entire global pandemic. That was not due to anything I had done, but the negligence of Enterprise for not having vehicle inventory properly managed. So I reiterate the campaign slogan, "when you're ready, we're ready", how were you all not ready for our reservation and the reservation of the countless other customers who were elderly and/or with children? Not only were we disappointed in finding this out, we were outraged that the enterprise employee seemed to not even be able to offer basic customer service skills such as understanding and at least compassion. As we walked away to figure out a solution for our family so late in the evening we witnessed a series of distasteful along with very questionable business practices. We witnessed Enterprise and their affiliate rental car company Alamo communicate via walkie talkie in the most disgusting manner for reservations and deny service to people based on them being upset. I am sure it is not company policy to point out potential customers over an intercom and refuse service. Not only did they describe people, but repeat where we all could hear. To not understand that it is late & also a global pandemic where people are flying in from all over the country and simply trying to be safe and prepared and be told enterprise does not have reserved vehicles is going to spark frustration and is mind-blowing. We watched our family and almost 10 other groups of people be turned away and humiliated in the process. Not only did we witness that, but we also questioned the sincerity of the entire issue. We went back a second time to Macarena (an enterprise manager) who informed me that enterprise would get an entire fleet of vehicles in at 6am on October 4th and we could come right back, like that was an option for us. We also were told at that time that enterprise would pay for our Uber. When we were getting ready to redeem the credit for our Uber, we were denied due to the expense being hundreds of dollars because of the surcharges so late and the location we were going. Not only did Enterprise leave us stranded at 11:30pm at night for a business trip, but also out of hundreds of dollars because our destination was 114 miles away from the airport. Hence the need for a vehicle. As we asked for the branch manager's information we were once again met with grunts, eye rolls, and blatant disrespect from Darrian. At that time we were also informed that this issue of enterprise not being to accommodate individuals reservations is an issue that occurs on EVERY Friday and Saturday night. I find that extremely unsafe and overall negligent as a company to know a problem and not care to find a solution that does not affect your customers. So I again bring up your marketing slogan, "our response, our responsibility". I can not speak for those other families, but I will speak up for mine and refuse to be treated and not valued as a customer. read more

As a consumer I have CHOICE where to make purchases and WHERE TO RENT A CAR. The manager Joe is a unicorn. Joe had previously managed the store at the location at Northwest Highway and Abrams, however, since his transfer to the Knox store I will not return to the NWHWY store unless they make some changes with their customer service. So I decided to take my business and follow Joe to Knox. He's attentive and makes every customer feel important. Always takes your calls and does a great job making each renter feel they are valued. He truly understands it takes years to build a relationship and second to destroy one. Too many car rentals companies to choose from. Thank you Joe for your exemplary customer service. I truly hope Enterprise understands you can't teach someone to be a good service rep. It either comes naturally or it doesn't. Thank you for your help! read more

Terrible experience... Been waiting for an hour for a pick up! And this is after I called hours ahead to schedule and confirm a pick up! Don't commit to a particular time if you can't guarantee a ride will show up! We all have tight schedules, things to do and places to be. I feel very disrespectful for having to wait this long. On top of the wait just had a representative hung up the phone on me. And this is after a 10 Min wait To even get to speak with one. Awful experience. Insurance made the reservation. Reservation said they would bring the car to us at 9am. I called at 9:30 and they said they did not do that. So we had to go up there. No biggie except....There was only 1 person working there so it took the better part of an hour to get the car. The woman there was very nice and helpful but needed help. Made a reservation today online AND confirmed over the phone for a vehicle since they're always messing up reservations I wanted to be totally sure that they had what I needed. While in an Uber on the way to to pick up the vehicle they called me and said that THERE WAS INFACT NO VEHICLE FOR ME AND NONE AVAILABLE IN THE WHOLE CITY. The woman who communicated this to me made no effort to fix the situation or apologize and in fact HUNG UP ON ME when I kept insisting on a solution to this. Everyone has different experiences and I am thankful I had such a positive one. Having my car broken into, the last thing you need is a headache dealing with insurance and car rentals. Even though every enterprise I called was completely booked, Rodney at this location made me feel important as a customer and called me at the sign of the next available vehicle. Not only did I get picked up 10 min to closing time, the rental was easy peasy. The car was so nice, clean with a full tank of gas. Upon dropping my car off I was offered a ride back to my home. I was very courteous, personable and respectful of their time. It goes a long way and I had no problems! read more

Terrible experience similarly eighth others that have tried to reserve via their insurance. I made a reservation through the system and got there for the appointment. Was informed that they did not have a car available for me. They made an appt to another Enterprise and when I got there, that facility also had no record of my reservation. I called the manager to help facilitate and was told I could have a car for the following day, which does not help my current situation. There seems to be no communication between the central reservation system and the stores and the staff at the individual locations have no desire to help fix it. read more

I just returned my car and Nikki was very very sweet handling my transaction. The car I drove was in great condition smelled fine drove really smoothly and for that I would give at least a four star rating but the customer service that I received tonight in my pinch of a situation was more than appreciated. I'd give the Enterprise at this location ZERO stars if I could. Paige, who works the front desk was rude while she was confirming my reservation over the phone. Although Mario who came to pick me up was friendly, he was 45 minutes late. While I had gone back to return my car, Paige had made me wait close to 10 mins while I just stood there and stared at her face, while she was on the phone (which I'm pretty much sure was a personal call). Once she was finally done and had closed out all of my paperwork, I asked if I could be dropped back. For which she responded, "Mario is out for lunch now and he'll be back after an hour. I think in general, Enterprise is cheaper than other services like Relay Rides and Zip Car. Typically I get a car for $35/day. It is cheaper on the weekend. Be careful with insurance, it can end up being more expensive than the cost of the car and they don't really tell you what the insurance costs. I sent the manager an email about the higher than expected cost and she wrote back, although a couple days later. But it was not corrected. read more

Enterprise fell off so bad. Their fleet is like an old motel chain - dirty, beat, and sh*t on. The cars here are FILTHY. Everything from cheetos, unknown wet substance, to strange chocolate-like stains on the seats of the $40 compact car. Gross! Employees got an attitude when brought to their attention. When I pointed out the stains, they told me "oh those are bad and require detailing - we don't do that here". I sh*t you not she said that. The car is so foul, you don't want to clean it, yet you want me to pay for it! To add insult to injury, the maintenance man came out to convince me he does an excellent job with the cars. So I guess I was imagining the sh*t stains on the seats... I truly don't understand why these people think I should pay $40/ day to drive a piece-o-ish AND show up to work with someones lunch on my suit. Just don't get it... Go with Hertz or Sixt. read more

This Location has a problem with customer service and understanding their own rental policies. A 3 star average on any social media platform is not good. 3 stars means you need work and a lot of it. Reading the other reviews it seems they have a very bad habit of talking down to the customers. I see the responses from the enterprise care team to these bad YELP reviews, yet the bad reviews keep rolling in. Sounds like there is bad leadership in this location and people need to be re trained or let go... Your staff is teaching new hires bad habits. What exactly is the enterprise care team doing to correct the bad customer service? I hope the manager of this location is reading this and I'm so glad you guys record your phone calls. I have filed a complaint on this location and the management... I'm the person that will follow through too. Hertz is a great car rental business they are right in the area, just let them know what a terrible experience you've had with this specific location and they will take care of you! read more

Zero customer service. I made a reservation online, and when I arrived I was told they had no cars available. They told me I should call around to see if anyone else had anything. They acted as if it wasn't their problem. I'm floored that this is considered acceptable. There was absolutely no desire or effort from them to make good on my confirmed reservation. I have never received such poor customer service or condescension from a place of business. I have not often used Enterprise, however, I will never use the McKinney Ave location again. The first car I received from them smelled strongly of stale smoke, the suspension was shot, the back end made weird metallic noises on every bump making it feel like something was about to fall off. I immediately called the branch location after getting to work. They claimed that they had no other vehicle but they would call me if they did. I called twice more over the day talking with several people. I was very nervous driving the car and called them again the following day. I was told by a very condescending man that I had not said that there were actual problems with the car the day before. I was really to tear my hair out. Seriously? He then told me to go to the airport if I wanted a different car.. Is this Enterprises idea of customer service? I spent every free moment of that day calling different locations. I was advised to go back to the original location as they had most likely gotten cars back in. They never contacted me about an alternate car. The same condescending man was at the desk and once again said "you never mentioned that there were problems the first time I talked to you." I am not a violent person, but I was definitely tempted. His tone of voice was unacceptable, his mannerisms were demeaning. And he had no desire to switch out this car. He eventually offered me a Sonata that the coworker softly said "it isn't suitable either". Sure enough, also smelled strongly of stale smoke. He went back in and helped other customers for about 20 minutes before saying sarcastically across the room "You could look at the Nissan if you want, to see if it is 'up to your standards'". I was shaking with anger, however, I think I managed to not curse at him during the entire ordeal. Once that car was signed for he practically threw the keys at me for me to leave.
