I did get a number of quotes for our project to make sure I did my due diligence, and he provided the most budget friendly quote by a pretty significant margin. We decided to get a mini split heat pump installed, and he was very up-front with the pricing and what he would ask from me. I was responsible for pulling the building permit, but it wasn't very difficult to do, and by my estimate from other quotes I got, it saved us hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. Our AC unit wasn't turning on and he immediately was able to diagnose the problem. We had upgraded our thermostat not too long ago and it turns out I ordered one specific to a heat pump setup only as opposed to a traditional furnace with heating and AC. He also diagnosed a defective part in our unit which he replaced. Our AC unit is also extremely old so the air that was blowing wasn't as cold/frigid as it was years ago, so he brought a canister of refrigerant/frion and added it to our system.
