My HVAC system stopped working properly…read moreafter another company had spent about two hours diagnosing it and quoted me more than $3,000 for a new control board, contactor, transformer, surge protector, and maintenance plan. Henry arrived, clearly explained each step of his diagnostic process, and quickly identified that the transformer and contactor were the actual issues. He completed the repair in about an hour and charged me $540 total, saving me roughly $2,500 compared with the previous quote. What impressed me most was Henry's honesty, expertise, and transparency. He did not try to upsell me or replace parts that were not needed. He took the time to explain what had failed, why the system was not powering on, and what he was doing to fix it. It is rare to find an HVAC company that combines strong technical knowledge with fair pricing and integrity. I would absolutely recommend ThermaTech to anyone looking for an honest and skilled HVAC professional.

We had no idea when it was last serviced or if it had ever been serviced at all. Henry gave us a very fair and competitive price for a tune up. Upon Henry's arrival, he was friendly and professional. He opened the furnace and showed us the burner. He explained it was in great condition considering the age of the unit and it didn't need servicing; although, he did clean up around a few areas around the burner. The blower motor was slightly wobbly, and once again, he explained it was still in good shape considering its age. He proceeded to the back patio where the condenser was located. He noted the unit was very old and that particular Freon is no longer available for servicing; however, he stated the unit did not need to be replaced just yet as long as it's blowing cold. Henry indicated despite our units being way past their anticipated life expectancy, they were clean and blowing hot & cold just fine. Therefore, no servicing was recommended and he did not charge us anything. We are impressed not only by Henry's friendliness and professionalism, but also by his transparency and integrity. Many other companies would have hopped on the opportunity to upsell the service or even sway us to replace our system right away, but Henry gave us peace of mind to give us time and to save up for an inevitable replacement in the future with Therma Tech. Thank you so much, Henry! We will definitely contact you again in the future and recommend you to all our family, friends and coworkers.

I wish I had written down the name of the operator who scheduled my appointment but she was polite, professional, and courteous. She went above and beyond to find an appointment that worked with my schedule. She called back as promised and I was never left hanging or waiting for information. 5 stars for the operator, thank you! My technician was Victor who arrived during the scheduled time window. He was very knowledgable about the HVAC systems used for the homes in my neighborhood. He was able to quickly confirm the issue, diagnose the problem, and find a solution. He then performed a series of tests to confirm the issue had been solved. During each step of the process he explained what was happening in a way that was easy to understand. I now have a much better idea of what my system is doing and how it operates. 5 stars for Victor and I'm grateful for his service.

Not only did they not listen to my needs, the whole time they offered solutions that cater to what they want instead of what I want. 1. They recommend dual zoning which cost about the same amount as installing a new mini split. I have a single state HVAC which isn't recommended for dual zone install. 2. They keep pushing for fixing/upgrading central instead of installing mini splits. 3. They keep asking for my budget (red flag), talking up high end units (red flag), talking down low end units (red flag). Look, we all know Mitsubishi and Daikin are the top of the line. However, the cost of DOUBLE of the price of lower end models isn't due to just superior quality and technology. Heat pumps and mini splits are not new technology. One isn't vastly superior to another. Yes, it may be better, but not double the price better. The cost are always due to the commissions and kickbacks for these installers. That's marketing and salesmanship, but please be more transparent next time. Finally, I asked for quotes and options so I can decide. The person walked away disappointed and I suspect they think they lost a sale because of the way I did not want the highest end models and stayed firm with my mini split request. I sensed the guy walked away disappointed. Yet I still expected a courtesy quote like the other installers. They never sent it. I was not surprised. In the end, I decided that a whole system upgrade to mini-splits (30% more efficient just from being ductless alone) with rebates made more sense instead of add ons to existing system. But these guys did help me cross them off the list and went with the installer who actually listened to my needs and gave the recommendation and options that I wanted. I do not recommend these guys. They will push for the highest cost system and will ghost you if you appear to be knowledgeable enough to call them out on it.

So much so that it gave me the confidence to buy my first home without A/C because I knew I could just call Calvey. A few years later I did just that. Damn, it's been a couple of months now and I've been able to control the climate of my entire house from my phone, optimizing the temperature and sometimes making it as low as 66F to just enjoy the air being crisp. The install has been fantastic quality and the crew listened to everything I wanted every step of the way. They mounted rat spikes where I wanted, they put the lines and the units exactly where I asked and I've had no issues at all. I truly believe with home price comparisons in my area that I made money off of the install because it increased my home value. My golden retriever is happy, I am 100% happy and I will see you guys again next home upgrade. :)

Clearly, air conditioning/heating units fall into this category. It's been a year and a half and our A/C/heating system works without issue. It a heat pump, electric or propane hybrid heater and works great. I think its SEER rating and according to my crayon math, that system alone saves about $400 to. $700 per year depending on weather overall. The heating and A/C performances are top-notch. I also have a ground-mount solar panel system put in by Apex Solar (another company for which I'll give a well-deserved good review like TTF HVAC in the next few weeks). I am saving so energy on the solar system that I believe I can heat the house for at least half of the winter, saving another $400 to $500 per month because TTC put in the hybrid system. Taking into account the cooling and warming of fall and spring, respectively, that's another $1200 or $1500 from late November to late April. I'll update those numbers next year. Tony is straight shooter, his employees are happy and do good work so I know they are treated well. Tony is responsive and attentive to details and respects his customers as only a smaller company can do. I feel its only fair to return an equal amount respect in return. A person can spend more or less money on another company but I honestly think that a person couldn't send better money than using TTF. I'm fairly certain that I would have to earn $10,000 to $12,000 a year to have the pocket money it takes to keep the house comfortable using TTF and APEX. Not bad and thank you, Tony.
