Overall, a really good place and even better because of it's accessibility near gates and luggage space! It is a casual place with moods varying drastically due to everyone being in an airport environment. It was a busy night so our server was getting pulled in many directions but quickly attended to us if we requested something as they passed by. The food came out wonderful and fresh. I had some time to kill before a flight so dropped into Henry's. Turned out to be a really good choice. They have a full bar, wine, and a great selection of beers. My flying companion and I shared a cheeseburger and without asking, they were kind enough to plate our halves separately in the kitchen, both of our plates filled with delicious french fries. The burger was very good and came on a lovely brioche bun. Our server, Kaitlyn, took great care of us, despite her having many tables for which she was responsible, and our food came very quickly. I stopped into Harry's Tavern at the Portland Airport (Terminal B) after realizing I hadn't eaten all day and still had about an hour and a half before boarding. This little tavern sits conveniently in the middle of the terminal, easy to get to from either direction, and has a surprisingly large seating area. The airport was extremely busy that Friday, and the tavern reflected it - the bar was full, every table was taken, and the staff was clearly hustling. Even with the crowd, we were seated fairly quickly. The food did take a bit longer to arrive, and I ended up needing it to go so I didn't miss my flight. I got my order about five minutes before my boarding time started. The menu is typical tavern fare, burgers, salads, wings, and similar items, but honestly, it was good for airport food. They also have a to-go counter and a full bar, though I didn't use either. The servers were friendly and doing their best despite how busy it was. Prices were standard for an airport, nothing unexpected. Overall, it's a decent place to grab a bite if you have some time before your flight. My son and I had a long layover after a missed flight and decided to stop here for lunch. When we arrived, it wasn't crowded & the space was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of spots to sit and plug in our electronics, which was a plus. Our waitress was awesome and recommended the cheese curds and they were absolutely scrumptious! We both had the fish and chips for our main meal, and they were cooked perfectly. Early for a flight or laying over in the Portland airport? Henry's may be your ticket (ha!) to passing the time and getting a drink or a bite to eat. Even with the recent (and super cool!) expansion, PDX still has all those crazy small gates, mostly for those pondhopper regional flights (who flies like 40 miles to Corvallis from Portland?). Nestled among some of smaller gates down Concourse C, you'll find Henry's (used to be the beloved Pearl District). There's more than 30 beers on tap ranging from national to local and pretty much anything else. But you're IN Oregon, where the biermaking skills are sharp and the hops are fresh, so pick something regional! I did - I went for the amber ale from Oakshire Brewing (shoutout EUG!) and it was sooo-poib! That glass of beer went smashingly with a shared platter of chips & veggies with the spinach/artichoke dip. Hot, cheesy goodness, the kind that stretches away from the bowl and shmears well on chips. The spin dip is the best app on the menu, hands down, and comes with crunchy veggies and crunchy other stuff. My lovely wife doesn't do bell peppers, so yay! for me getting all those. The menu has your usual pub-ish fare, so you have plenty to choose from. If any star isn't shining, then it's the service. Those who ARE there hustle, and they're friendly, but like so many other spots, Henry's is staffing-challenged. But three cheers for those who do show up, because the experience would be so much different and you're in a place where people get grumpy easily. Pricing is airport scale, so don't complain. You can drag your satchels in with you, sit at the bar, a table, or a high-top, and with plenty of viewing entertainment. What's not to like? You have time to kill and an appetite to quell, so Henry's is a clear choice. read more

This is a nice place to grab breakfast or a bite to eat when you're at the airport. They have seating inside the restaurant. It's clean with a comfortable atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised with how good this breakfast was! The airport was pretty dead on a Tuesday morning which allowed us to breeze through security and right on to our gate. With time to kill, we decided to find somewhere to sit down and eat before our flight to NYC. Our server was so friendly and cheerful, but not overly so. The music was a bit loud for the day and time but it didn't take away from the meal. I ordered the All American Breakfast with a little bit of everything. The food came out nice and quick and we dug in. I was pleased with the quality of sausage, it wasn't rubbery at all like you may expect from an airport. We had some time to kill before our flight and knew there wouldn't be any options during our layover at LAX, so we stopped in here for lunch. It feels like one of the very few real sit-down eating establishments in that wing of the airport and it was doing a brisk business. We were able to get in right away, but then I was glad we weren't in a hurry. The servers did a great job of all the tasks associated with a restaurant business, they were just really busy. Lots of small tables and high tops around the restaurant and bar area. Our cheese curds and pickled veggies were delicious. We probably should've just made that our meal! I had the chicken Cobb salad which was fresh and yummy. My husband had a sandwich, of which he took half of it to go and ate it on the flight later. My bf and I stopped here to eat so I could see him off properly while he visits his parents and relatives in a far-off water-deprived land. They only serve breakfast before 10 or so and the menu is very limited unless you're there to drink. Since I don't usually get wasted at airports before driving home, we opted for the few choices we had. Choosing to spare himself any lactose episodes on a 4 hour flight, my bf picked French Toast with no whipped cream or mint. I noted the eggs and toast were more than the biscuits and gravy. I never make the latter at home since bf doesn't care for gravy so I picked those with over medium eggs. The French Toast was better than my dish. The gravy was a little too sweet and the sausage had too much fennel for my taste. There was so much gravy it overwhelmed the biscuit which was actually a good one. This dish would have gone much better with hash browns as texture than the home fries as well. Live and learn. Enjoyed some date time at least even if he hadn't really woken up yet lol read more

Very reasonable choice for tasty hearty food at Portland airport. Their bowl of chili was nicely satisfying and not heavy, and their gorgonzola waffle fries were light and crisp, though the blue cheese flavor could stand to be more prominent. My wife and daughter liked their chopped salad and chicken fingers respectively. Price was reasonable, and they use the Landry's reward card which is useful for freebies sometimes. (I was part of the opening team when we opened the now closed restaurant on 12th & Burnside in Portland. Laura was magnificent as our server and she made the stop great. We each had the PDX Mimosa and shared the Henry's Classic Breakfast. It was perfect. Over-easy eggs were over-easy, the sausage was flavorful, and the potatoes had the perfect crispness. The biscuit was a also very good accompanied by fresh strawberry jam. I think $4.75 for coffee is a bit high, but the Mimosa and breakfast was priced fairly. Our server did a great job of keeping my drink filled and delivering our food. We ordered the spinach dip, it was a bit thinner than we would like but the flavor was good. We ordered an additional side of chips as well. My wife got the chili and while she didn't rave about it, she did finish 2 cups of it! I ordered the cheeseburger and added bacon ($21). Henry's Tavern is a nice place to have food and/or drink while at the Portland airport. The beer selection prominently features beers from Oregon breweries. I particularly enjoyed my cocoa milk stout from nearby Sun River Brewing. Food is typically what I would call upscale pub food. My dinner was a larger bowl of their chili, rich with a nice kick, topped with tortilla chip slivers and cheese. It also included roasted chickpeas as well as more traditional beans, a nice twist. It's also nice that underneath all the booths and the seats and along the walls near the shelves with bistro seating that you will find plenty of outlets to charge your mobile devices.
