Very good service. Every employee are great! Stacey is very good. She's very experienced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a one man band and he is very good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great food. Reasonable price. We love it. It's our first time and we will back. to me.

Thank you Alyvia (sp)for your amazing charming service we really enjoyed talking to you. Your recommendations killed us in the best way. We had the brisket and rack of ribs. Divine. All the sides are fresh and sauces made in house. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I worked a long freezing day and wanted a cozy log cabin-like place and this was THE PLACE.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]we sat by the fire and had amazing wooden chairs and table just making the ambience perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You would think it was gimmicky but it's truly not! [[HIGHLIGHT]]this is a very wonderful mountain style dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Highly recommend for anyone staying in Poconos or those who want that richly warn atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is pretty extensive but not in an annoying way. Can't wait to come back.

Visited Alaska Pete's for dinner once we had arrived in the Poconos. Unfortunately there are not many places open late as we had arrived in the area a little after 8 that evening. We were quickly seated in a roomy booth inside. We ordered some appetizers-- the nachos and the calamari. Thankfully our waiter suggested to order 2 appetizers for our party of 6 and thankful for that suggestion as we demolished those apps! The long drive got us hungry! For entrees, we all ordered different items. I chose my favorite sandwich, the corned beef Reuben and it came with a side of fries and of course some extra thousand island dressing on the side. Loved it and it was the right portion size for me! Our group had also ordered the salmon, cheesesteak, stuffed flounder, and chicken wings. Everything tasted great and with leftovers that we took back with us! This is def one of my fave places to go while in the Poconos.

As a southerner who moved to the mountains. I was instantly drawn to their Southern Pride BBQ selection. I finally got the opportunity to join a party of people yesterday who also wanted to explore Alaska Pete's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a rainy night so we had to be relocated to another table because the ceiling was dripping.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Though, the hostess did not want to relocate us at first. She changed her mind eventually and set us up nicely in another area. Our waitress was the bomb!! I wish I could remember her name, but she was working last night Feb 16 at 5:00 for the Hamilton family! I ordered a margarita, nachos, and the pulled pork bbq sandwich. The margarita was delicious, nachos were blah, but the pulled pork sandwich was delightful! Added my coleslaw on top and I almost felt like I was back home! Will definitely be returning!

Over-cooked Mahi Mahi with blah potatoes but decent string beans.

Alaska Pete's has excellent outdoor seating with some wonderful ambiance -- but that's all you're going to get. Although our service person, Carter, was amazing, the meal (like everyone else's at my table) was bland. My mahi mahi was overcooked and came with a scoop of potatoes as if I had been on a school lunch line. The drinks were also "okay". I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you planned on sitting outside and drinking from a bottle.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Let me start by saying this is a very beautiful, clean, cheery and well lit restaurant. It's spacious with plenty of room between tables. The bathrooms were clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The staff were very, very friendly and attentive. Even the bus-boy clearing the table asked if we were enjoying ourselves. So now......here's the scoop.....This restaurant needs to make an appointment with a psychotherapist because it truly has an identity problem. It can't really figure out what kind of restaurant it wants to be. The menu is all over the place. Is it a steak house? An Italian restaurant? BBQ joint? Fish house? Or a Pub? It's not sure and neither was I. We came for dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Some tables were served water in plastic disposable cups. Some tables got glassware. The napkins were paper. (If you are going to spend $40 for a steak you should have a real drinking glass and cloth napkin)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a live piano player playing lovely songs and then dozens of televisions playing different programs on every wall. It was just confusing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now the food....it was ok. We ordered the "famous chicken wings". They were large, but nothing special. Tasted like wings with "Franks Red Hot" sauce on it. The Chicken Sizzler came out steaming hot. The chicken was bland, the peppers and onions were good. The BBQ Brisket was fatty, sweet, and rich. It was a small portion, not worth the price. The cole slaw reminded me of supermarket store bought coleslaw. Now the fries, I disliked them. To me, they were soggy and not cooked enough. My wife, she liked them a bit more than I did. I think the prices were way too high, the meal was expensive and I didn't feel the value was there. I won't make a special trip back here but if friends invited me to meet them there I wouldn't avoid it.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. They were busy with graduation families and told us service was slower than normal. They kept us informed and it wasn't a bad wait at all. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I had the steamed clams and a salad. Very tasty! Husband had the fish sandwich. This place is huge and they added a beautiful outdoor space with bar. It must be crazy when it's busy!!

Refreshing Belgian white beer - perfect for a toasty evening following a busy day out in the heat.

Alaskan flair in the Poconos! My husband and I stopped by Alaska Pete's after a long day of summer activities. We were served quickly by Krystal who was a pleasure! She seemed to predict our needs (could it have been our damp, ruddy appearance from a long day in the heat and sun?) and kept the cold drinks coming! We ordered a calamari and a naan flatbread app. The calamari was perfectly crispy and the dipping sauce was delicious. The naan was smothered generously in both sauce and mozzarella cheese. While I'm a firm believer that anything smothered with sauce and cheese is delicious, it was not a grocery store freezer item! The naan bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and also chewy with a hint of sweetness. My husband ordered baked salmon with a baked potato and steamed corn on the cob. The salmon was flaky yet juicy on his fork and the baked potato arrived steaming hot in a foil jacket. He devoured fish and potato in seemingly seconds! Last, he exclaimed, "I always forget how much I love corn on the cob with a hint of salt in the summertime!" After the apps, I was looking for something light. So, I requested tortilla chips and sauce with some sour cream. They accommodated this off-item menu without a fuss at a reasonable price. Perfectly salty and crispy tortilla chips! Thank you Krystal and Alaska Pete's for a refreshing dinner experience following a sweltering, steamy day of fun in the Poconos!

This has officially become one of my favorite brunch/breakfast places. Unfortunately, I live in NYC…read moreso I am not sure when I'll be back but the food was delicious! First, the restaurant is so cute. It's like you're transported to a teahouse! The staff are really friendly, and they let you know immediately that everything is farm to table. The eggs were a deep yellow so I knew it was the truth. If you go, definitely order the biscuits and the mimosa flight. The biscuits comes with 4 different spreads (fig jam, peach butter, strawberry butter, and a brown sugar butter). The biscuits were a good size, and my favorite spread was the fig jam. I wish I could have put some in a jar. The mimosa flight flavors are so fun. I was not a fan of the soursop but the lychee and passionfruit are really good. For the main dish, we tried the chicken & waffle and the tres leches French toast. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and was crispy. The French toast was actually on a croissant. I can't wait to come back here!

Stopped in for brunch after our Pilates instructor recommended this spot. It is super cute inside…read morewith lots of drink options. I went with an Arnold Palmer while everyone else got different coffees. I ordered the short rib grilled cheese (asked for no onions, but it came with them). The waitress was super nice about it and had it remade right away. The short rib was tender and really flavorful, and the salad and homemade chips on the side were great. The rest of the table got omelettes and enjoyed them too. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu.
