About to dig into our lobster roll!
    Robin K.

What a wonderful experience! My wife and I stumbled upon this little place that had their open flag out and a sign that reads 2 lobster rolls for $45 (June 1st 2025) the owner and main cook greeted us and took our order for two "loaded" (butter and mayo) lobster rolls and my cup of clam shower. It's small in here and I can imagine during the busy season being tight in here but today was a nice leisurely lunch with my spouse and chit chat with the locals ordering to-go. 5s for atmosphere and friendliness as well as great seafood.

Best lobster roll ever! The small lobster meat was so much sweeter! This has set the bar for lobster rolls. Get the mayo and butter combo!

My husband and I stopped in for a lobster roll. We got two lobster rolls with mayo and butter. It was delicious and very reasonably priced. There are some tables inside to eat. The owner is friendly and helpful! If you haven't tried this place it's worth a visit.

Lobster roll with little thin pieces of lobster rather than chunks.

The lobster roll was very disappointing. I've driven from Portland Maine to have one based on Google reviews. The lobster pieces were quite small and just little strips of I guess it was lobster. And even though I ordered it hot buttered it was cold inside the pieces of lobster and a little watery so I think it was actually frozen and mostly reheated. The owner is very nice but the quality is rather poor.

RUN, DON'T WALK, TO EAT HERE. Excellent lobster rolls - definitely get the butter/mayo combo...and you're gonna want the large!! Perfectly toasted roll, overflowing lobster, totally delicious. While we were there, two other tourists and two locals came in--you know it's good if locals eat there! Excellent customer service - Wayne is awesome! Chatted with us and ended up giving us samples of his shrimp scampi! Clam chowder was yummy, too! You order at the counter and then he makes your sandwiches in the back--it does take awhile but it's worth it because it's so fresh! There's not a ton of room to sit but there is enough for a few people (the main room where you order has a small 6 person picnic table and there's another room with two small picnic tables). I think we might be back one more time before we leave next week!

Maybe the best lobster roll ever?!?! Been driving by this place for years! Unassuming little spot on route 1, not a restaurant, sells seafood retail and online, but also serves up lobster rolls and clam chowder, and that is the full menu! You can get it with butter, Mayo or both, owner recommends both, we said to do it his way! He was quite the conversationalist while waiting, over 25 years fishing in Alaska. I highly recommended the lobster roll!

It was so good the mayo and butter were perfect, not too much, the lobster was fresh and tender and so tasty.

The lobster bisque had large pieces of lobster in it and was very tasty -- creamy but light. I tasted my husband's clam chowder and while it was very good, I was glad I had ordered the bisque. We split an order of fried scallops. They were fries perfectly, and were tender and hot. Served with fries and cole slaw, both of which were very good. We sat on the deck and enjoyed a beautiful view of the harbor. Service was attentive and quick. 10/10 would recommend

Ordered the fried haddock sandwich too. Soup arrived with steam (before the spoons to eat it came) but the soup was actually not that hot when we tasted it. We had to wait for spoons. The bowl of lobster bisque was $34, which was a conscious decision for us to order - because that's expensive. (A cup is$20.) The lobster bisque had no flavor. The salt, pepper and lemon we added ourselves helped but for $34, it should be amazing. It cooled off super quickly and was room temperature within 3 minutes and in 8 minutes or so, cold. Which means it wasn't truly heated through and through to start. We regret ordering it. The fried haddock sandwich had zero flavor. None. Not salt, not pepper. The fries and Heinz ketchup had the most flavor of anything on our table. When the sandwich came we asked for another plate (we were sharing it), which never came. At one point, the waitress came over and asked how everything was. I replied, "Eh, alright." She said "Okay!" and walked away. Disappointing since, budget-wise, we are eating out one meal a day of this trip and that was the experience (and lack of flavor) we had. $66 including tip. Such a waste. Sorry to say....but skip this place.

Sat at the bar since they were quite busy and haven't had a chance to clear a few tables. Restaurant reminds you of grandma's house, rustic, chic tables and chairs, mismatched dinnerwares and the whole ambiance playing "killin jive" from the 1940's. I wasn't born then but the whole vibe reminds you of that era that I only get a pleasure to watch on TV. Now for the food... Jonah's crab as you can expect was sweet and delicious but a pain to eat using your fighting tools however, the dip was heavenly. BF had the burger, he was surprised that you can't modify it, but thoroughly enjoyed how unique it was, I told him, the chef takes pride how he prepares his food, so you either take it as it is or get something else. Keep an open mind. And I had the overnight beef shank, wow, simple yet delicious, fork tender and luscious marrow. The celery and fennel salad added brightness to the dish and the blue cheese wasn't overwhelming. And I don't like blue cheese and this creativity made me wanting it more. The dish isn't a huge portion, but surprisingly it got me full that I left a few bites of the beef and the salad. For drinks, I had the Rosé and he had the New England India pale ale, light and bubbly. Service was okay, a little slow in the beginning and as the night went on, our server became friendlier.
