    Lobster roll and onion rings
    Deborah S.

As part of our lobster roll pilgrimage The Zack Shack was chosen because it was open. We have found at our visit to Maine during the fall season that quite a bit of restaurants are closed for the season. I ordered a side of onion rings with my roll. They offer regular portion rolls for about 18 bucks and double portion of lobster for around 29 bucks. The regular portion was just right for me. The roll was good but I wasn't a huge fan of the onion rings. They weren't bad but not my favorite. I didn't like the texture of the breading. With that being said this is a taste/texture issue with me and I'm sure overall would be fine for most palettes. The service was friendly and quick.

Delish fresh seafood and great service. Stopped thanks to a locals recommendation. Got the haddock snack and it was delish and huge. Zack even gave my pup some bacon. Recommend!!!

We wouldn't have come here hadn't Susan from the Causeway restaurant recommend this place. Our stay at Maine had ended and we needed a place to eat before driving back to Portland for our flight. Thankfully this came to us as a suggestion the night before and I am glad we stopped by because their food was really good and of great value. We had the lobster roll and the crab roll with a side of onion rings! Both rolls tasted great and the onion rings were perfectly battered and crisp. I would love to try more on their menu since I've read that their burgers were good too.

Stopped by today after reading the glowing reviews. I was not disappointed. I ordered the onion rings and fish tacos. The onion rings were crunchy and were delicious. Unlike some onion rings they were not over battered. The shrimp tacos were also delicious and an order of 2 filled me up. Overall I would have to say my food was outstanding.

Ate at the blue food trailer and I have to say it was amazing. I had a lobster roll, 2 shrimp tacos and onion rings were amazing. Locally owned is always the best.

Super tasty and fresh lobster roll. Seating area could be improved. Maybe pots of flowers or foliage.?

Instead of doing an excursion we decided to…read moredo one of those "go down this street and right" excursions where you make everything up as you. Since it was between breakfast and lunch we decided to stop into Atlantic Baking for a coffee and a pastry. Atlantic Baking is an unassuming shop right along what I'm going to consider a main street through Rockland. Not necessarily THE main street, but the Main-est we saw, so I'm sticking with that. Inside are several cases of pastries, breads, rolls, donuts and other baked goods that looked at me as if to say "I dare you". There was a cinnamon roll-ish thing that looked really good, and a Vanilla latte are what talked to me most. The staff (two young ladies on this morning) were busy hustling and, even with that, were helpful as they tried to keep taking care of customers. The vanilla latte was SUE-PERB, albeit a bit hot for my taste (had it let is cool first). As we sat having our halfway-between-breakfast-and-lunch-but-not-really-brunch snack there was a steady stream of customers, I'm guessing about 50/50 regulars and cruisers. Aside from pastries, coffees and teas, there's a cooler with canned/bottle beverages for the on-the-go beverage drinker. With as much activity as was going on during our visit you'd think it'd be difficult to keep clean, but there was a gentleman who came out frequently to take care of emptied tables, trash, etc. There are windows into the baking area, proving that they've got nothing to hide. Most everything is made on site with fresh, natural ingredients by people who take pride in what they do. Atlantic Baking is a charming place and a nice stop for a mid-morning snack

If you dined in, they gave you a little number and brought out drinks and food. We did not have a long wait before getting helped, we did take a moment to look at the expansive menu that was on the wall. My partner and I both got a drink and breakfast wrap which came out to be about $32 before tip. Our drinks were brought out shortly after we sat down. The iced chai latte was on the sweeter side but very yummy. The iced matcha was also good but I asked for some vanilla flavoring, not sure if it was added since it didn't taste too sweet. However, I think they may have a table to add more flavoring and sugars to make it just right! Lastly, the wraps were AMAZING! We got the Mexacali and the Lee's special wraps. It's safe to say that they were devoured. I'll be dreaming of these wraps for a long time. If we find ourselves in Rockland again, we will most definitely be coming back!

I particularly loved watching the two artists quietly creating at separate tables. The Ambrosia is a signature item. Imagine, if you will, a brevet cappuccino topped with chocolate powder. This is pure heaven in a cup. A variety of breakfast burritos are available on plain, spinach, and tomato tortillas. Over the week we were in town, we ordered each one and found them all to have generous portions of scrambled eggs. My favorites were the Mexicali and the Reuben. While ordering at the register, the service was patient. The servers who brought our food items were very nice.
