The Lobster Haul - Front is the lobster sliders and in back, the jumbo lobster mayonnaise roll. The latter had a good pound of lobster!

As a born and raised Mainah I must say I was impressed with this spot. Found in Damariscotta…read moreslightly off the main road of downtown but you may find some signage advertising on them on Main Street. I suggest you follow the signage to visit here. They have a few parking spots and some street parking available nearby too. It's a spot that you order at the counter and get a number and can enjoy either an indoor or outdoor table and wait for the food to be delivered. We enjoyed a table outside in a perfect shaded area on a beautiful day. Inside was a perfect rustic and homey vibe with some live music during our visit. Both inside and out were popular choices and we had a little line before ordering but minimal wait. Food wise my I got a lobster cilantro and lime lobster roll, while my wife got a Lemon Dill Lobster roll (both currently $30 market price). We split a large basket of fries and could not pass up splitting a current special of Homemade Blueberry Bread Pudding with Lemon Glaze. We know we made good choices when the worker taking our order was telling use we made the perfect choice of our food spread. The lobster rolls were tasty and included a good amount of lobster to them! Fries were crispy and only could have used a touch more salt and finally the bread pudding was amazing and the perfect bite to finish our meal! What a fantastic spot worth seeking out! I know even as Maine locals my wife and I would seek this spot out again. A must try if you are in the area.

When you spend money for a lobster roll, you want it to be amazing. This was!!!!…read more I ordered a lobster roll and blueberry bread pudding. The roll was fresh and delicious, the huge chunks of lobster were fresh and tasty. I got the butter option and it wasn't too heavy on butter at all. The side of cole slaw was great too. Really wonderful flavor and not too much mayo. Light and right! Blueberry bread pudding was delicious too. I wish the blueberries were integrated more and not just on top, but I would still order it again, it was so good. Friendly staff too! Parking right outside, indoor and outdoor seating, restroom inside and they take cash or credit cards.

A gem of a supermarket within walking distance of downtown Damarscotta. Anything your heart…read moredesires.. from raw milk to fancy wine. Organic fruit amply available. Home made delicious ginger molasses gargantuan cookies a must. Best of all an electric plug for my hybrid with comfortable seats to wait for the charge. You don't have to be a $10 member to shop. Helpful staff and excellent parking.

My husband and I have always been a bit shocked at the prices yes. So we have not shopped here much…read moreover the past few years. But. Not wanting to spend another $50 on lunch at the usual places in town we decided to grab some tuna salad today and eat outside. I bought an Asian salad with noodles and peanuts and carrots and incredible dressing. I swear, this was the best salad I've had in months if not years. I'm not kidding. Even the carrots stood out, were different. Delicious. The fennel is 2 or 3 times bigger than fennel at the grocery stores, $4.99 (usually about $3.99 at the others) 4 kinds of plantain chips. Fantastic low sugar pineapple soda from Mexico. Beautiful corn. After eating this food today at a picnic table over on Pemaquid Pond, we are doing a complete reversal and going to start shopping here a lot more. Yes it's expensive but vegetables do taste different, esp when they're not flown in from far away. And the attitudes of the employees is joyful and welcoming, such a good feeling. Good Job Rising Tide!

Paul's bistro has the best food in town! We came the other night for dinner but I will post about…read morethat yumminess in another review! Today we came for a warm bowl of soup and fireplace , since it's chilly and raining outside. The clam chowder is a must ! It's honestly the best clam chowder I've ever tasted. It has a lot of the clam juice in it , so it's very flavorful and not overly thick like most clam chowders . It's perfectly balanced and full of clams. We also got the French onion soup. I really enjoyed their version of this classic. It has bourbon in it and has a very unique flavor. It's rich and has plenty of onions and broiled cheese on top. It has a flavor of its own , so don't come expecting your typical French onion soup! My hubby ordered the Maine lobster roll with a side salad, Instead of fries. I ordered the fish and chips remembering how tasty it was last summer! I'd probably skip the fish n chips. I didn't particularly love the taste of the fried fish. ( maybe because I am seed oil free! I'm not saying they cook with seed oils , I would just choose something else, next time ,because there are so many delicious choices ! ) Definitely check out my food pics attached! The lobster roll on their warm buttery roll is delicious! It's A nice size, too. His side salad was super fresh. The service here is excellent! Bradford was very friendly and helpful. We would've never discovered the ridiculously delicious clam chowder had he not recommended it! My only disappointment was that the fireplace wasn't burning. They said they only turn it on in the evening. They tried to clean it and get it going for us, though, so I really appreciate the effort ! They have a great staff , beautiful ambiance and a wide, delicious choice of food on their menu! If the owners read this review, perhaps they could compromise on cold rainy days and provide the fire place. I promise it will encourage more people to come in ! Pleasant surprise- they got the fireplace going as we were finishing our lunch so we moved to the chairs in front of the fireplace and just sat and enjoyed it for a few moments afterwards. Such a cozy spot.
