The lady that takes the orders at the counter and through the drive-through. Requires a lot of customer service training. She's cocky, disrespectful and basically unprofessional. It says Under New Management and Customer Service is primary in any business. I asked for the key to restrooms and she said it was for customers. Replied ok, well will be ordering food. She handed the keys and it became a starring problem as well as her sarcasm expressed to the cooks. I ignored it and then ordered food for 2 with an order of Chiles Torreados! My friend and I went in this past Sunday at about 11:30am and some older lad who was the cashier was there, we went to use the restroom and we were planning to buy something anyways because the restroom was for customers but we both really had to go so we went to use the restroom first. Weirdest experience ever, my friend and I were coming here to eat but had to use the bathroom before hand since we've been driving all day from Las Vegas. There's a single men's restroom and single womens restroom. I went into the women's because my friend went into the men's. I understand it's women's but I see no harm when it's a singular stall. The worker lady POUNDS on my door, I don't open it right away because I'm about to use the bathroom and then she proceeds to get her keys to unlock the door and open it on me. I unlock jt and open it before she gets the chance and she pushes it open saying it's for women! So I wait for the men's bathroom that my friend is using. She walks back into the kitchen and comes back a minute later. The lady pounds on the men's while I'm standing there waiting and she actually pushes the door open while my friend is using the toilet to tell him it's for customers only. I go here all the time, But usually late at night. Today I decided to check this place out at 1:30 pm on a Sunday. Drive through, I'm used to the homie that gives me my order right. Super kind. And when I requested to put sauce inside my burritos he does it with no problems. He even gives me a big old water and charges me accordingly. Great service Today, I got a lady that didn't want to put sauce inside my burritos, forgot my napkins, and gave me a tiny cup with no lid. I always come to Alberto's for quick and delicious Mexican style food. From burritos, tacos, and plates, my favorite thing to get is the carne asada fries. A plate with a huge pile of fries topped with carne asada, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. So simple, yet so flavorful and I can't get enough of it. My wife and I eat here once in a while with my dad. Generally I have no complaints however today I was a bit alarmed to see this employee handling food. Two things to be concerned about: 1) according to state health code gloves must be worn when handling food. 2) Most alarming, the underside of the fingernails are breeding grounds for bacteria. I always get the extra beans and no rice with whatever I order because I don't care much for rice. So I drive the 20 minute home starving! And when I open my plate lo and behold NO BEANS but rice and not even extra rice because it was only on half the side but no beans!! I DONT CARE for Mexican rice! So I called and told them what happened ( something I rarely do, and I also think that this is the first time I've complained on Yelp) all the time on the phone I was being very nice as I informed the same girl that took my order of the problem was. I explained to her that I lived far but if I wanted what I paid for so I had to drive all the way back!! My first order was at 5:34pm and I FINALLY got home at 6:48 with the right order, and guess what!? COLD! Everything was cold!! And mostly fatty meat! The best Alberto's around the Corona area. I like the deals and specials that they offer like the 5 tacos special with drink for like $5 or their taquitos special. The thing that keeps me coming back is the carne asada fries. The carne asada fries are nicely fried to where it is still crunchy after they put the guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and salsa. The don't put any beans or lettuce which suits my preference because I don't like fillers such as beans to fill me up and they short change me the fries and/or carne. I'm a 160 lbs guy who can finish one order of carne asada fries, so that means it's a good portion for the price. That's all I order from there but their tacos are good. Great spot if you're looking for quick "homemade" Mexican food with a drive thru. They have a TON of choices for everyone in the family and serve plenty of food with each dish. The prices are a little higher than places like it but the food really is that much better than said other places and like I mentioned, the portions are generous.
