    Carne asada torta
    Icel C.

Wow! We can around 730pm. It is a very small place with friendly staff. We ordered carne asada torta ( huge), chicken quesadilla and fish tacos. I took a bite off husband fish tacos and I wanted to eat the entire thing. Really good batter and the chipotle sauce is so good. It came out to about $50 with 2 drinks. Good prices. Definitely will come back. Their salsa bar is really good! They are called El Rey tacos for a reason. I'd probably order to go next time since it's so close to my house. Don't sleep on this spot.

Ime of my favorite olaces to get fish tacos!! Snd the burrito was super flavorful and huge my boyfriend could evan eat half of it before he was full. Food here is always fast and hot.

Really great burritos! Worth a detour off the highway! Clean and friendly. Would return when in the area.

Been here a few times but this last time solidified for me that these are one of the best tacos in Corona. They also have by far the best horchata out of any place here! We got the carnitas tacos which were so juicy and delicious not dry at all. My boyfriend got the Al pastor taco and torta and it was delicious. Don't forget to ask for the grilled onions, jalapeños, and nopales. Definitely will be coming back more often.

Fish and Shrimp Taco is within three fingers in California. Personally, the first place. Especially the salad bar is crazy and the baked onion and red pepper that comes with it is crazy. The best taste

I have came here easily over a dozen times. I really wish they would pick up their phone more often to order ahead as there is usually a very slow moving line and a wait for the food. It is also very small and hot inside. It can get crowded very easily. The food is delicious. Have tried their Tortas, Tacos, Quesabirrias, Pozole, Menudo, Burritos. It is all very good! Sometimes I won't come here just because of the ordering situation and wait time. They only have one cashier and it can easily be 45 minute just to get your food from the time you arrive.

Ok I've tried and handful of tacos spots in Corona and this is by far my favorite. The tacos are loaded, the meat is flavorful and they serve nopales (cactus) and onions on the side. They also aren't stingy on the toppings. I will be here often and I will become a regular. Love this place.

El Rey is a hole in the wall Mexican food joint on the Sixth street. It's not visible from the street so my friend missed it the first time driving by. But it is well worth the trouble because its food is amazing. I ordered a quesa birria because today is Tuesday and it was served piping hot, fresh off the grill, juicy and tasty. The El Rey burrito was pretty good too. Large portion and very satisfying. El Rey's salsa bar offers a good selection of pickled vegetables, 2 green and 2 red salsas. The hot salsa is packed with some heat, which I liked. El Rey is limited in its seating area and not many parking spots for the whole strip mall. Today it played Mexican songs so loud my friend and I had a hard time hearing each other. So it's really 4.5 Stars to me but I rounded it up for food sake.

El Rey Tacos Mariscos is so fire. The food is super fresh, flavorful, and you can taste the quality in every bite. I ordered the 3 meat burrito and man the burrito was so huge! I get they may cost a bit more then other Mexican restaurants but i really feel the love in the food! I literally felt like i was in mexico. everything comes out hot and fast. Staff is friendly, portions are more than legit, and the whole vibe just feels authentic. Easily one of the best taco + mariscos spots around. I'll definitely be coming back again and again. They even hooked up free horchata refill on the house cause they were going to close. How sweet of them. Love real family owned restaurants like this who actually take pride of what they do. Trust me. Go here and you won't regret it.

    Menudo with hominy.

Good fish and birria tacos. The salsa bar has spicy guacamole, which is the best part of coming here. The piña Agua Fresca is great, too.

I ordered in advance and went to pick up my food, but since I was starving, I ended up just eating there on their patio. The tacos were okay. Personally, I thought they were pretty mid and not as flavorful as I was hoping they'd be. They did have a spicy sauce that I dipped the tacos in, and that definitely helped the flavor. I personally didn't love the tacos, but to be fair, I also didn't try anything else on the menu so I can't speak for the rest of their food. The place itself is a decent size, and the patio area is actually pretty nice. The staff was very kind, my order was ready right on time, and I appreciated that they weren't stingy with the sauces. Overall not a bad spot, but the quesabirria tacos just didn't fully hit for me. Oh well *shrug*

The chips are fresh, super thin and crisp, lightly salted. The salsa one of my favorites. I don't know why others cannot make them the same. I can see a plate of impeccable nachos in my future here. Camarones, Mojo de Ajo style, no head, no shell. The shrimp were nice sized, but obviously overcooked. Mr B said that a couple even tasted old as well. Too bad. On the other hand, the sides, beans and rice, were sensational. Done beautifully, with very rich flavors, I would come here just for those two items. My garlic shrimp burrito was filled with smaller sized shrimp than his, their awesome rice, some fresh salsa, and a pink dressing (?). The shrimp tasted fine, not overcooked, but not overly garlicky. And usually I dislike rice in my burritos, but this combination was an exception, a real winner. I recall having an amazing carnitas here on past visits that I really must revisit. Hmmm. This is beginning to sound like a carnitas nacho plate would be the right thing to do. The interior is very attractive with their colorful and vibrant murals. Great World Cup soccer playing on their TV. The server was absolutely attentive. A good little place worth s return visit.

Check my picture for the information. I ended up getting the 3 taco plate (2 asada and 1 carnitas) and the XL meat quesadilla with asada. The carnitas was really tender and delicious. The asada was good, but it was not my favorite. I have a thing with chewy fatty pieces and I understand it is common in lower quality cuts of flap meat. This asada had quite a few pieces I had to spit out because it was just too chewy. The refried beans were good, also not my favorite though. The quesadilla was good, I liked the grilled cheese cooked prior to folding it into the tortilla with the meat. Nice touch. That grilled cheese makes a huge difference. The next 3 taco plate had pastor, asada, and shrimp (except they actually gave me fish instead). At least my girlfriend enjoyed the fish taco as well. The tacos were loaded with meat and hard to pick up. That's the best! The pastor was tender and juicy. The fish taco was freshly fried and loaded with toppings and sauce. After paying, I asked for salsa and onions/cilantro cups so I could grab it from the salsa bar before leaving, but the lady turned around and grabbed me prepackaged salsa of each kind, bagged onion and cilantro, and limes. Super nice! Salsa were all really good! Especially the green avocado salsa. I'll come back for carnitas when I'm in the mood for tacos/quesadillas. I'll probably avoid the asada though. Just not my favorite.

You then order your drinks and salsas along with condiments all while your food is getting cold. With only two-three customers/parties ahead of me, I usually average about 45 minutes just to get my food and pay for it. The food. Make no mistake, they make really good food. Love their al pastor, delicious tortas and burritos. Great salsas. Delicious aguas. Good menudo but you have to check to make sure they put the grano in even when you ask for it because they have forgotten on a number of occasion. This place would be so much better if you could just order your food with a cashier and then just call you when it is ready. It would be so much more efficient just like every other normal place. Cooks are usually nice here, cashiers are usually a little frumpy. Plenty of room for parking and sitting. It is a good size inside. In the summer it is very hot inside and the ac units cannot keep up. If you try to be smart and order online, most of the time they will not start making your food till you get there.
