    Panchito!
    Wendy B.

I'm not sure how to rate our experience here. My son could not stop raving of his own visit the day before, particularly the chile verde which owner/chef Panchito had graciously offered him a taste of. So the next day, we hopped in our little Soul wagon and hustled over to see if we felt the same. It was cute inside. The vibes were friendly. The menu looked quite varied, but the odd thing was the lack of any prices being posted anywhere, not even in a menu. Not sure what is up with that, but there is something inside me that finds that disturbing. So, we ordered chile verde for each of us. Mr. B also wanted to test out the taquitos appetizer, of which he only had chicken filling. We included an order for two chile rellenos to bring home. This, we hoped, would give us a fairly good idea of whether or not we would return. Out came the chile verde. The servings were slightly on the small side, but since we had no idea what he was charging, I didn't judge. If it tasted good, it was a moot point. What I did notice was there was a disturbing odor coming from the meal, akin to spoiling. At that point, I should have said something, but I didn't. Tasting it was no better. It lacked the bright, tomatillo flavors and savory Mexican herbs I had hoped to find. I resorted to sprinkling some dried oregano that was set on the table in a shaker for the menudo. It helped, but not much. My hopes were dashed. The taquitos were typical and acceptable, IMO. Mr. B thought otherwise. I guess we can chalk that off our list, too. We brought our leftovers home, and the spoiled odor from the chile verde lingered. Neither of us were enthused to eat it again, but I can at least say we did not experience any digestive issues afterward. We both felt we would not return at this point. However, the next morning, there was good news to report. That came in the form of those most wonderful, plump, chile rellenos we had ordered to go. It was breakfast time, and we approached them warily. What we discovered were two generously filled pasilla chiles (filled with melty Mexican cheese) dipped in a fluffy batter, deep fried to perfection, then smothered in a red sauce that was simply wonderful. I knew instantly that this was one of the best I had had in a long time. So, I will have to return. Those amazing rellenos won my heart.

Asada fries and menudo 10/10 service was great. Definitely will be back! 3/10/25 cashier was really nice and food was out really quick thank you guys!

    Her is what I got

First let me start by saying their food is good.......but every time I order a quesadilla, they never include the sides, NEVER. Given how the price of food has gone up, don't cheat people out of their meal. Here is the advertisement versus what I received. Not just one time I've ordered, but every time!

Really good authentic food and the pricing isn't bad. They've increased it, especially for online orders, but it's still worth it.

It included peach, pineapple, strawberry, cranberry, orange, pomegranate, and I think mango (can't remember the last one, sorry!). I love that the glasses were actually filled. I watched them make them, and it's a majority of champagne with just a splash of juice. Chilaquiles: This has become my absolute favorite breakfast dish lately, so I try it everywhere. It was very yummy here! It comes with eggs, and I added steak for some extra protein. The presentation was beautiful, too. Highly recommend! Steak & Eggs: My friend ordered a dish that had a different name on the menu, but it was essentially steak and eggs. She said it was absolutely delicious. The bathroom was clean, and I noticed they have a changing table available as well, which is always a great plus. Overall, I had a really good time eating, drinking, and talking here. I ordered in advance and went to pick up my food, but since I was starving, I ended up just eating there on their patio. The tacos were okay. I personally didn't love the tacos, but to be fair, I also didn't try anything else on the menu so I can't speak for the rest of their food. The place itself is a decent size, and the patio area is actually pretty nice. The staff was very kind, my order was ready right on time, and I appreciated that they weren't stingy with the sauces. The chips are fresh, super thin and crisp, lightly salted. The salsa one of my favorites. I don't know why others cannot make them the same. I can see a plate of impeccable nachos in my future here. Camarones, Mojo de Ajo style, no head, no shell. The shrimp were nice sized, but obviously overcooked. Mr B said that a couple even tasted old as well. Too bad. On the other hand, the sides, beans and rice, were sensational. Done beautifully, with very rich flavors, I would come here just for those two items. My garlic shrimp burrito was filled with smaller sized shrimp than his, their awesome rice, some fresh salsa, and a pink dressing (?). The shrimp tasted fine, not overcooked, but not overly garlicky. And usually I dislike rice in my burritos, but this combination was an exception, a real winner. I recall having an amazing carnitas here on past visits that I really must revisit. Hmmm. This is beginning to sound like a carnitas nacho plate would be the right thing to do. The interior is very attractive with their colorful and vibrant murals. Great World Cup soccer playing on their TV. The server was absolutely attentive. A good little place worth s return visit.

Check my picture for the information. I ended up getting the 3 taco plate (2 asada and 1 carnitas) and the XL meat quesadilla with asada. The carnitas was really tender and delicious. The asada was good, but it was not my favorite. I have a thing with chewy fatty pieces and I understand it is common in lower quality cuts of flap meat. This asada had quite a few pieces I had to spit out because it was just too chewy. The refried beans were good, also not my favorite though. The quesadilla was good, I liked the grilled cheese cooked prior to folding it into the tortilla with the meat. Nice touch. That grilled cheese makes a huge difference. The next 3 taco plate had pastor, asada, and shrimp (except they actually gave me fish instead). At least my girlfriend enjoyed the fish taco as well. The tacos were loaded with meat and hard to pick up. That's the best! The pastor was tender and juicy. The fish taco was freshly fried and loaded with toppings and sauce. After paying, I asked for salsa and onions/cilantro cups so I could grab it from the salsa bar before leaving, but the lady turned around and grabbed me prepackaged salsa of each kind, bagged onion and cilantro, and limes. Super nice! Salsa were all really good! Especially the green avocado salsa. I'll come back for carnitas when I'm in the mood for tacos/quesadillas. I'll probably avoid the asada though.
