The place is clean, laid back, and the staff was friendly, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The food itself was outstanding. Every bite was bursting with flavor. Last weekend I was at the Art Festival in New Smyrna and the Filo food truck was there and I had an absolutely delicious gyro. I enjoyed it so much that today I took my husband to the Port Orange location for lunch and we both had gyros. We were so disappointed. The gyro meat was burned, hard and so dry that it had no taste at all. I mentioned this to the young lady who was working there and she told me that the meat was left over from yesterday and they reheat it on their grill, but they definitely left it on the grill too long today. She then proceeded to tell me that if we came later in the day, the meat would be freshly cooked. She never offered any apology that we didn't like our lunch and I only ate half my gyro. I would like to suggest to the management that they use a different method to reheat their meat, perhaps heating it in a container in an oven so that it would be edible. They also might want to give this young lady a lesson in customer service as she didn't handle our situation well. read more

There is ample parking on the main street and there is a public parking lot that is a few hundred feet away. There is outside and inside seating for all of your hopes and desires and the service is next level! Being on the main road, this restaurant has so much charm and it's beautiful glass windows bring in all the natural light. The walls are adorned with breathtaking pictures of Greece and you'll feel like you are on vacation. Even if it's just for a few hours! Honestly, everything on the menu is delicious! Filo Greek is a fast casual style restaurant kind of patterned after a Chipotle where you pick a base, a protein, and the various toppings, however the food is more along the lines of Greek. For my base I chose to go with what they call a Street Bowl, where I had Greek french fries as my base. For my protein, I went with gyro meat. I will say that I was undecided between the gyro meat and the lamb meatballs. Next time, I will have to try the lamb meatballs. They have a huge selection of toppings. I definitely took advantage of his large array a food. I will say that I genuinely enjoyed the spicy feta cheese that they had. The olive hummus was good, as well. They give you a lot of food for the money. I had this for lunch and it is now just after 7:00 p.m. and I am still stuffed from this feast. They really loaded the bowl up, even the gyro meat was plentiful. Not only was there a lot of food, there was a lot of very good food. The service was extremely friendly and, as I have mentioned a few times, I was impressed with the food. I would definitely recommend this establishment. A friend recommended this place and it's an amazing addition in Port Orange. The menu is simple and has super fresh ingredients. I got the Market Bowl with 1. Herb Chicken (4/5) and 2. Falafel (5/5). The chicken can be a bit more tender and smaller chunks. But the Falafel was perfect crunchy and had a great flavor. You can play with all the veggies and sauces according to your own taste. It was easy off and on I-95 in a new "yuppy" strip of restaurants/services. (Wine shop, breakfast place, nails done, grill restaurant, outdoor tables under trees with signs up saying...eat local.). We used to love Filo Greek. We just hadn't been going as much because it can be a bit pricey. That was completely fine because you get what you pay for which was good food with FANTASTIC fries. Yesterday we decided to order for the first time in a while and boy were we disappointed! The gyro grilled pita was delicious as always and the pita platter was yummy, however the fries were a completely different story. They were nothing like the scrumptious fries that we have always enjoyed. Instead they were like the frozen Rally's seasoned fries you can pick up at Walmart. Why would you substitute such an inferior product for something that was perfect?!?! The whole reason that we chose to order from Filo Greek last night was for those perfectly scrumptious fries...
