My experience today at Alberson was unhappy. I was there tonight at 8:30 pm and John who was working as Casher tonight at #1 cash register, he threw all my Items to hand to bagging person . Sterling and his assistant Steve in the wine & spirits department were just amazing! I went into the store to purchase the items on their $5 Friday special ad. Yet, they were out of the liquor choice on the ad, no lamb had been cut for their butcher special. But, leave it to Sterling, who took great care of me, substituting another brand of vodka to make my long trip up there worthwhile, and Steve, his assistant used to work in the butcher department and made sure to have them cut me more of the lamb that was on their Friday special. Otherwise I was told there out of lamb! I walked in there and was so angry to find they were out of the advertised specials, and I made 2 new friends, and bought way more groceries then I would have ever expected and loved finding this beautiful new store. I've been a Ralph's shopper only for convenience, but this trip sure enlightened me and I found a larger and much better stocked new store for myself. read more

I know people don't usually review supermarkets but my bf and I have been going this location for more than four years and I have not met a single employee that was rude. From the cashiers to the grocery bag peeps everyone is really friendly and great! Everything is fresh and the facility is clean. As far as supermarkets go we really love this location and felt that our local essential workers deserved some recognition and praise for being awesome! read more

Easily one of the worst supermarkets to go to in the area. The only good thing about it is that it's pretty clean and spacious (thus two stars) but be prepared to wait in lines that never move, pay 1.5-2 times the price of other supermarkets, and apathetic service from all associates. The location is good and the parking is spacious as I have never had any issue with finding a spot. It does share with space with other businesses but honestly it's never really too busy like the 99 ranch parking lot or Ralph's lot near Alton. I've come to this location in the evening and in the day and it's always the same headache. Only one or two people are working the registers and the express lane is full of people waiting with only a handful (literally) of items yet the cashier averages 3-5 minutes per transaction. Even a cart full of product would be completed faster at Costco compared to one Albertsons employee. I also had an issue with a coupon and the cashier basically offered no solution and just said to not include the item. As the mad line builds up I decided to sacrifice my couple dollars of couponing so that others may hopefully appreciate that I didn't bottleneck limited cash registers opened. It's ridiculous how long the wait can be and really you have to come to this place keeping in mind to hold your breath in line. The associates are hard to find so don't expect too much help, but at least the shelves are organized and everything is clean. read more

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS ALBERTSONS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS. Wife and I have been a loyal long term customer at this Albertsons . But unfortunately most of the time when we shop there our experience is poor and the only reason that we kept going back is because we live in the area and the last time we called and complained they assured us that thing's will improve which it didn't. About a week ago the rude gentleman name Steve at their seafood department sold me some bad clams intentionally I believe because he said they were fresh however it made us sick and my wife had severe food poisoning. So I called the store and they were rude and didn't even apologize for it. I told their store manager that she needs to have a talk with their seafood department to make sure that the rest of the clams are safe to sell the public and she just rudely said come and get your refund. When I got there instead of refunding my money they double charged me for the same bad clams and keep in mind that I didn't realize this until later because I never received the credit back on my card. So I had to return back to the store which was extremely inconvenient. To make matters worse Sherry was very rude and kept making excuses and didn't even care that I had to drive back and forth. On Sunday wife and I were shopping there again which was a big mistake and really should of know better but we were in the area and it turned out to be another horrible store experience. First we had an issue with the self checkout because it was not working as usual so we ask the employee who was working there and he completely ignored us and walked away. We had to walk to the customer service desk and finally someone else came to help us. However when he left our register stopped working again so we saw the same gentleman that walked out on us earlier and asked him if he could help us but he just told us off and walked away. So at this point I was extremely upset and asked the gentleman about he's strange behavior and then Sherry came and got on my face. She was very rude and unprofessional and kept making excuses for her employee instead of apologizing and her employee kept laughing at us. I told her that this is completely unacceptable and I will be calling their corporate office. She kept yelling at me and told me that she remembers me from last time and I am trouble. So basically she told me that I am trouble because I informed them about the bad clams that they sold me. What a joke because in away I saved them from a major lawsuit and I deserve a thank you instead She kept telling me off and kept telling me to go head and call the corporate because they won't care. Make matters worse Steve the same gentleman who sold me the bad clams showed up out of nowhere and got on my face and tried to intimidate us. I asked him if I could speak to a store manager and he's response was no you can talk to me and he kept repeating himself. It was very clear that he wanted to fight me and he lied about the store manager not being in the store at the time. It's very clear that they just don't value their customers so we will never again shop at Albertsons and we will make sure to share our horrible experience with other's on social media and the media. In addition I will see what my legal options are because not only they sold us some bad clams, charged us twice for the same transaction, but also disrespected and intimidated us. read more

Many times I have gone in to purchase items that are on sale and they are frequently out. Also, the butcher department leaves a ton of fat on their meat. They will even try and hide the fat the way they package it. On the weekend, they often are out of a lot of products on the shelf. Tired of wasting my time. read more

Very disappointing Pharmacy experience on 03-20-2020, pharmacist lost a called in prescription and store manager rudely said nothing could be done, never encountered such incompetent and rude Pharmacy manager. Mistakes do happen by staff but managers should try to solve the problem rather than be rude and mock the patient, she issued various rude statements while I requested to try to retrieve the lost prescription by contacting her staff. I will file a complaint with consumer bureaus and send a letter to its executive management about the rude manager. Stay away from this rude pharmacy if you want your medicines reliably. read more

Came here just to grab some chips and cookies but ended up spending more time waiting at the check out line. I found this place through Yelp because I was looking at the closest grocery store next to my work place. It was pretty easy to find, Google Map took me right to the location. Even though there is ample amount of parking available because it shares the parking lot with other stores, somehow it was busy to find parking and I had to park little far from the store. Store is organized and kept clean, I was able to go straight to the chips aisle and grab what I needed. However, there is a long line at the check out counter and the staff that was helping out was not the friendliest person. One would hope that they would open up more check out lines especially for people shopping 15 or less items but I doubt the manager or staff were bothered by the long line. read more

Yelpians, I am THRILLED to announce that this Albertsons finally has a Self Checkout section! There were at least 4 Self Checkout registers, and a helpful associate staffed to help with the trickier items (produce). I no longer dread going to this grocery store, for fear of long lines! I recommend everyone check out the "Clearance" section they have at the dark left corner of the store (between bakery and seafood). You can find some good deals in the mishmash pile. While wandering the aisles, keep an eye peeled for RED tags--indicating clearance. Also, help out this already tightly staffed store (granted any store really) by returning your carts to the cart corral or front of store. It will take you less than a minute, lessen the chances of stray carts hitting cars, clear up parking space versus when you pop it up on a planter curb, and free up their labor to be servicing inside of stores instead of collecting carts outside. read more

Extremely helpful! especially with WIC. Cashier staff went above and beyond to help me figure out what foods were excepted and what weren't. Staff made a potential embarrassing situation for me not a problem. Using programs that offer assistance with basic living needs can feel a bit embarrassing or uncomfortable but I really do appreciate the respect and courtesy that was shown today during a seemingly difficult situation. Had to stop at this Albertsons on my way to The Great Park. Trying to avoid with my previous bad experiences at this location. A lot of "Karens" work here, along with the Trump supporters who come here after their rallies at the nearby park (welcome with open arms by the store manager John). Anyway there is a very rude "Karen" who does online shopping in the back of the store. Couldn't be bothered to help any regular customers - especially the old Asians. Racist or just rude. And to add insult to injury, they removed their self check out registers and are ALWAYS understaffed at the registers. So, if you think it is convenient to go to Albertson's because it's closer than Ralph's, think again... Long overdue update: Albertsons seems to have figured out being more price point competitive- although Ralph's still beats them in produce- AND, they've added 5 self checkout registers - 5 of them. This is a huge store, looks nice and clean, but customer service here is a joke. I think it suffers from mismanagement issues, because the staff are nice, but there are not enough of them. Example? I went there during lunch time to buy some fried chicken. There was only one guy at the deli section and he was helping a lady who was buying cold cuts. It took him 15 mins to get to me. And there was no other person behind me!! ODD during lunch time. 2- I was there buying a bottle of cold water, the self-check out machines were broken and I had to stand in line. There is one older lady ahead of me and guess what? It took the cashier about 10 min to ring her up. I was so thirsty that I opened my bottle and started drinking! So we frequented this Albertsons a LOT. I mean, a LOT. Literally a 2 minute walk from the apartment. Huge and clean, easy to make your purchases with self checkout. I'll never understand why Albertsons down south are so nice, when up north, they're meh. Anyways, two reasons why I am writing this review. One, their chicken wings. AMAZINGLY GOOD! I picked up a bucket one day, I think it was less than $10. Everyone was shocked at how tasty these fried wings were from a market! I mean, we picked these up all the time when people came over or for a snack cuz they were that finger licking good! Also, their hoagie sandwiches were HUGE and cheap. Less than $5. Buy a few of those, and you could feed a mini army! The bread, meats, veggies were all good and still fresh, and they came with packets of mayo and mustard. Never have I been so impressed with a deli at a local grocery store stain (minus Whole Foods and such of course). read more

The atmosphere of this store is bright, clean, and comfortable. The staff here are friendly and pleasant; the produce staff are GREAT ambassadors (exceptionally friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and helpful; they exude positive energy)! Some members of the meat department are great, too! As for the selection, Albertson's doesn't have the best selection of products, which results in me having to shop elsewhere to complete my grocery list. Sometimes, the vegetables are simply not attractive. We find that the quality of lunch meats has declined; they used to have a better selection. Just went here to buy two bottles of wine.. the lady at the checkout asked for ID I opened my clear wallet where you can see the dates through. She said take the Id out so I did my ID is slightly cracked but it is still valid and still scans.. She then said your ID is cracked and it is not valid and she accused me of having a fake ID.. I said it's definitely not fake and I'm 32 years old.. she then accused me of having an expired ID which is also not true.. I guess she just wanted to argue with me because I was wearing an American flag mask and that triggered her somehow.. I called to schedule a flu shot appointment 9497330698. I show up and the pharmacist has no idea what I am talking about. She said she couldn't do it because she was alone. What's the point of making an appointment? They also have a big sign saying they offer the flu shot and there is a discount on grocery if you get flu shot but they make it so difficult to get the flu shot. read more

I agree with previous reviewers: they are horribly under staffed and it was a very bad move to take away the self check outs. They never EVER have baskets available at the doors and I have been told it's because people stole them. Hmmm, interesting, no other grocery store around is lacking in baskets. Therefore if you want just a few items, you are forced to carry them around or push a giant cart around the store. Again - terribly managed. I only come here because it's the closest store near my home. Prices are not that great and lined can be lengthy. If you go on the wrong day they can be practically out of produce. My biggest complaint is that I am always seeing expired food still be sold! Yogurt, cheese, hot dogs, etc. Thankfully I check dates! Once I ordered via Instacart and was given expired yogurt. Thought I would come here out of convenience for last minute groceries since I live close by but turns out I was wrong... Entered this Albertsons with my service dog (I have a disability) who had a harness on but not her regular vest since weren't able to go home and grab it. It was also 80+ degrees that day and I did not like the idea of leaving her in the car. I was immediately confronted by what seems like the store manager. He told me that pets are not allowed in their store and said my dog needs to have a red vest on (which we have) I told him that it is not required by law and requested that he read the ADA card I had on hand, he refused and was obviously plain ignorant to discriminate against people solely based on their appearance. It IS a federal offense to ask about someone's disability and insist they have a certain type of vest/gear on! I was questioned AND insulted again upon check out by the clerk who rudely asked me what type of disability I have and what my dog does for me. If I ever get the names of these employees, I won't hesitate to report them!!! Shame on YOU and YOUR Employees Albertsons!! You have made me feel completely inadequate and disgusted and I really don't think I'll set foot in this particular Albertsons again!! read more

I've been shopping here for 5 years. I use to love the service and product availability. Then staff changes occurred and I've been treated like crap ever since. The manager is horrible. I've gone there twice a day every day with my youngest son no problems. Then Friday happened. I have Lupus which gives me horrible brain fog especially since the holidays. I love the florist who prayed with me today as my good friend just lost her mom to cancer. I was buying flowers, cards, decor, food, etc. I always do there at that location. I decided to go to Starbucks to eat a little something, a drink, and 2 new cups for Valentine's Day. I wasn't feeling well and the creepy manager knows I have this disease. The staff were really rude to me today as well. They have been for the last couple of months. I guess they're just really unhappy about management as well. They complain all the time. I've kept going out of convenience. So after I finished my snack and drink I started to leave with my cart. I forgot to pay cuz out of habit I go to Starbuck's last. I was literally rushed by 10 employees who know damn well I wouldn't ever steal a thing from there. I looked for a receipt and realized I had forgot to pay. I was so embarrassed and I would have gone back and paid, but creepy manager threatened me said I stole the Starbucks cups and the gift card, and said if I ever came back he'd have me arrested for trespassing. I couldn't believe it. After 5 years of service and this frustrating lupus he says his sister has, he could of asked me if I was ok and said let's go back and pay. I'm so embarrassed and in shock. I know their customer service has started going down hill cuz of him now. So my daily ritual with my son is over because I made a mistake the manager knows better than to accuse me of. People don't matter there. And the selection sucks to now. This is long, but if ur disabled and make a mistake look out cuz you'll get rushed by all the assholes that work there now.
