This grocery store seems to be on the slow side. Their service, check lanes, and the store overall doesn't look busy. Anyway, I try to avoid coming here to this particular Albertsons unless I literally have to or its just about on my way towards somewhere I gotta be because I find myself always waiting, and waiting, and waiting just to pay for my 1 or 2 items. They NEED more cashiers! Seems like they need better management or a new one to run the store and figure that MORE CASHIERS AND CHECK LANES ARE NEEDED to be open. There aren't too many people shopping here, but there are people that buy lots of stuff, like a shopping cart literally FULL to the top, which takes a while to ring up and I'm just standing behind wishing that I had options of lanes to choose from. I have been a regular customer of Albertsons and Safeway for more than 25 years. By far this is the worst location for customer service I have ever experienced. I have lived in Northern California and the Safeway and Albertsons were always great. I have lived in Las Vegas and the Albertsons customers service was phenomenal. Until I moved to Valencia. They staff the store with young kids straight out of high school that don't even pay attention to what they are doing. Most of the times they are too busy socializing with their co worker instead of being attentive and showing courtesy to the customer standing in front of them. Many times the clerk bagging groceries is going so slow because they are socializing with the cashier. Today the clerk wasn't paying attention and rang up a bottle of wine from the person behind me. When I questioned it he acted like he didn't do it. Then he was very flip about it and reversed it and and handed me cash back If I wanted cash back I would requested it!!! I'm am so annoyed by this location. This isn't just one incident. I'm not someone who complains. But the prices at this store isn't worth the horrible service. I love this Albertsons. Everytime I'm going to make something new or old I always come here for everything I need. They always have what I need and the people are really helpful and friendly. :] The thing that keeps me coming back here, aside from the options they provide food wise and their customer service, is the fact that they are priced pretty decently. They aren't overpriced like Ralphs on McBean or places like Pavillions and Whole Foods. Thankfully. I absolutely love their deli sandwiches, the club is the best! I have had a few problems with service there though. As in the white people get served first despite the fact that you've been standing there for 12 fucking minutes, but all that hasn't happened for quite some time (basically since I complained). :D The guys at the meat department are VERY helpful when I'm in need of something and cannot find it. They even pulled a prepacked rib roast out and cut it to the proper size I needed! Woo, go them! Ultimately this place does have a few flaws but they are not fatal for me at all. Great Value, Great Service, Great Selections = GREAT!!! We relocated from Beverly Hills practically across the street from this Albertsons just a few months ago. Our very first shopping experience there was delightful - Armen was our cashier and we made instant friends. We shop at this Albertsons every other day, and it's never disappointing. I actually look forward to going shopping there as it's a great experience. And if a place makes you happy when you spend money, boy they have to be good! Man let me tell you something, I went into this Albertsons the other day to pick up some yams for my grandmother Edith, and not only was I greeted with a smile, the customer service was impeccable. My directionally challenged self (lol) got lost right off the bat looking for those delicious morsels, and I believe her name was Alex, came to save the day! She should have been wearing a cape because not only did she lead me to the yams but gave me a great recommendation on a recipe. Not only is grandmother Edith happy now but boy so am I! Crazy about food, or just crazy? In the never ending struggle between convenience vs. quality, convenience largely wins out-especially when I do my grocery shopping after work. That's why I go to Albertson's. I like the fact that it is close to my neighborhood, and the people are very cool. That's why they have 2 stars. The rest is bunk. They surprised me with their produce today. I was looking over the tomatoes and many of them were moldy! The meat/seafood department is deplorable. On one occasion it took a kid over 10 minutes to skin a salmon fillet (I kid you not). On another occasion, I bought cooked shrimp on special and when I got it home the consistency and smell were completely off thus ruining a really good shrimp and orzo pasta recipe for me forever. Here's a tip: buying meat or seafood as a "best buy" or "super saver" is NEVER a good idea. Sounds obvious, but that's one lesson I had to learn the hard way. Last week I was craving some Brent and Sam's chocolate chip cookies, so I bought a box. As I was enjoying them today I was reading the box with the expiration date... Why in the hell did they expire over 2 weeks ago?! Yet another indulgence, ruined! Between the bad produce, expired baked goods, and sketchy seafood, I think I'm going to have to convert back to Whole Foods! read more

Clean, well-stocked. Self-checkout, good meat selection, no silly 'club' discounts or memberships, nice parking lot, etc. I actually go out of my way to come here sometimes. The stores near me don't have self-checkout, and the Albertson's near me closed. By the way, for people complaining about a lack of 'organic' options...all food is organic or you couldn't eat it. ;) I actually boycott 'organic' (labeled) food since it's a silly trend and the food isn't any more nutritious. I also don't want to encourage those who are attempting to capitalize on public naivete and scientific illiteracy. Plus, if people want to spend extra money on trendy food ideology then there's always Whole Foods (Whole Paycheck). I am glad if Albertson's isn't wasting shelf-space on nonsense that crowds-out 'regular' food. Good store. Wish it were closer. read more

Nice, clean store with an adequate selection. One thing I really like is the fact aisles aren't being constantly blocked by employees stocking shelves. In two out of three times I've shopped here so far there was no waiting for check-out. Another plus. One major downside, for me anyway, occurs if you make the mistake of being in the store between 2:00 and 2:30 PM during the school year. The place gets absolutely inundated with students getting out of high school. When I say inundated I'm not exaggerating. There were so many kids in the store today one would think they were running a satellite campus. To be honest, most of the kids are well behaved but the store becomes loud and students take up the few registers that are open buying single items. It can also cause chaos in the parking lot where most of the kids tend to congregate. Yea, think I'll be looking for another place to do the bulk of my grocery shopping. read more

I would recommend not shopping at this store at night l wanted to exchange a salad that appeared to be bad even though the date was before the expiration date. I purchased 15 of them about 10 days ago. I only wanted to exchange one for a new one. Same brand same type. I was told that I needed to have a receipt. I was treated completely bad even thought the checker has checked me out for many years. I told Anna that I thought her behavior was completely unacceptable. Why she feels it's her job to treat me like scum is beyond me. I will follow up with management. And as long as Jennifer is employed I will be shopping at another chain. Had a horrible experience with one of the cashiers named Anna. I come grocery shopping with not only a list by aisle but with an approximate amount I'm going to spend. As I was checking out I advised Anna the final dollar amount was too high. She told me she couldn't stop to look over the prices as she had other customers. I told her, no problem I'll glance at my receipt. I paid and stepped to the side. Immediately I saw I wasn't given the fab 5 discount and the $.88 plums that were on sale were charged at $2.49lb. I asked Anna if she could help me with the receipt or if I should ask a mgr and advised I had to leave asap to pick my son up from school in a few minutes. She advised she would call someone. I waited and no one came. Several customers and employees were near us but no one could help me. I again advised I had to leave to pick up my son and that I could call later and asked for a managers name. Apparently that angered her as she snapped "so how much do you want, how much do I owe you!" I was kind of shocked by her attitude. I advised I didn't know exactly yet and as I was finishing my sentence she began to raise her voice and tell me "I'm going to give you cash, just tell me how much!" I was in disbelief with her raising her voice and treating me as if i had done something to her. I asked her, are you seriously yelling at me? I gave her a random amount, she abruptly handed me cash. I asked for the managers name and left. This really upset me and I had to put myself together to not let it affect me when I picked up my child! What an awful representation of this store! I am now hesitant to come back to my own neighborhood store to deal with this type of treatment again! Just awful! read more

For anyone with little ones in SCV: Watch out for the really ugly scary witch on the left side of Albertsons on Copperhill (in the front of the aisle, near the aisle where the cookies are I think). My daughter screamed and cried so much when she saw it two weeks ago. It detects motion, so it will turn to you and open its eyes. Really not funny! Now I have to beg my daughters to go in Albertsons with me, and if they do, they are freaked out that they'll see it. I've asked the manager to please please take it down for the other young kids - or atleast change it to something a little less scary. But they did not. This place is convenient and far better then the Pavillions on McBean. It's always clean and cool - just what you expect to find. Excellent and convenient shopping experience. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. This is a typical suburban grocery store; very clean and neat. The Sav-On Pharmacy is the only reason I can't give 5 stars. I understand that working in pharmaceuticals is tough considering you're dealing with people who need meds for a variety of ailments. The customer interaction is probably not super happy, therefore most of the Pharmacy Techs are disgruntled and unhelpful. They are probably accustomed to upset and frustrated customers who's insurance doesn't cover some prescription or something related to that. My husband went to pick up a prescription and they handed him MY prescription instead. They didn't ask for ID. He realized the mistake and told them he was there for his. They looked for it and realized it wasn't ready yet. Big mistake! They should never give away someone else's prescription, especially without consent or verifying ID. We visited this Albertsons with a prom "emergency". We don't live in this area, but we were taking our son to pick up his girlfriend for senior prom yesterday. We opened the corsage he had purchased and picked up just that morning from a Ralphs store and the white roses were turning brown at the tops and inside, even though they had been refrigerated since picking it up. We had no time to turn around and go back to the Ralphs we purchased it from. We couldn't possibly allow our son to give his girlfriend a white rose corsage that was browning. We pulled into this Albertsons to see if we could get a corsage made last minute. It was the best decision we could have made. I was met by a friendly younger man at the floral counter. He let me know that the florist had left for the day not too long before we arrived, but he said that he would try to find someone to help. The store manager, Jessica, came over to help me out. We purchased a dozen red roses and Jessica jumped into action. She knew we were short on time and had to get this done to make prom right for my son's girlfriend. She remade the corsage, having never done it before. She quickly studied the other corsage and made another one that was twice as beautiful as the original. She worked quickly and was extremely friendly. My son's girlfriend loved the corsage! We could not have had a better experience than we did at this Albertsons. Jessica literally saved prom for my son and his girlfriend! We are so pleased and happy with the service and everything. If we ever need flowers again, we will definitely go out of our way to get them from this Albertsons. If we lived closer, we would totally go there for our shopping needs. When we are in the area and need something, we will be sure to stop there. I very highly recommend this Albertsons and their exceptional customer service! read more

This is our regular grocery store. They've got a great butcher shop and the crap legs are fantastic, when you can get them. The management is very cool and whenever I've needed to special order a product, whether a box of cereal, premium beverage or special toothpaste, they've been on top of and usually have it within a few days. This is the one of the best bakeries in town if you need a tasty cake on short notice. I was having a craving for yellow cake with chocolate frosting. They didn't have anything like that made up, but the baker offered to frost a single-layer round white cake for me right there. In less than five minutes I had something to satisfy my craving. I have never seen such immediate problem-solving, and all with a smile and an apology that it took so long! "Yay! I'm a fan" is right! read more

During this virus outbreak I was shopping with a friend and picked up 2 gallons of water each. The sign asked each customer to either pick one pack of water or 2 gallons of water per customer. We both picked 2, 1 gal. water each, since we are two separate house holds. We went to the self checkout and the cashier (kristin) aggressively approached us and demanded that we purchase 1 gallon each. Despite our protest about the sign she quickly became hostile and escalated the situation with name calling. This caused us to be very frustrated with her. She made a rude comment and said we are hoarding water,I commented back that we were only going by the rules that Albertsons posted on the sign. I asked her to walk back with me to the water section because the sign clearly stated 2 gal. per customer and she started being very very rude. I asked her if the rules have changed, then they should do her job and remove the old signs. She then said she will get her manager so another lady showed up ( Albertson worker) and took the water from my friend and was also very very rude. Not long after , perhaps a minute later she came back saying she is sorry that the sign did state as we mentioned and that she will give the water to us for free and that it has been a difficult day. We insisted that we are not looking to take the water for free and want to pay for it. We then decided to go to a register with another cashier. Then she (Kristin) from the self checkout started yelling at another customer from the same register that we were standing and being very rude and argumentative. We understand that everyone can have a bad day and that tensions are heightened during theses times. However, this is no excuse of utter lack of unprofessional-ism and hostility shown to us and other customers. We are appalled with this employee's behavior and sincerely hope that no other customer have to experience this kind of behavior. It is embarrassing that this type of employee is representing Albertson's. Due to this we will never shop at Albertson's again. read more

Cashier, Yolie, just gave me and my wife a very hard time about removing a manager's special coupon from some meat. She said that she must remove the coupon....odd thing is that I removed it at the self checkout and then decided to switch to a full service checkout. Plus half of the coupon was still attached to the package, proving that I wasn't trying to cheat the store. This is the 2nd time I've encountered rude service from Yolie. Too many other grocery stores close by to accept this kind of customer service! read more

I live right across the street from Albertsons, and if I ever need to buy fresh produce, I have to drive to the nearest Ralph's, or Sprouts to buy quality produce. Anything in the produce section is absolutely disgusting. You will always find rubbery shriveled up cucumbers, moldy mushrooms, onions that have gone completely black and soft, moldy berries, and what finally set me off is when I cut into a normal looking red bell pepper, and found some weird dark mold, with black bugs inside. I'm completely in aw on how the manager tries to sell this sorry excuse for fruits and vegetables. Don't let the clean store fool you, because their produce is dirty, old, and disgusting! If their produce is this bad, I couldn't imagine trying to buy their meat or seafood. No thank you! As of today, I'm officially done with this store! This supermarket deserves a -1 star! read more

Every time I visit this store it takes 10 times longer than it should to check out. The self help always requires manager validation, which if you've seen the managers move can take a loooooonnng time. The checkers are generally not much better. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but every time I get in line, the checker is barely able to finish a transaction w/ out needing help from a manager. In addition, many of them are "trying to be friendly" or something, so they are talking, talking, talking, as if they are at the hair salon while people are grinding their teeth in frustration. always well stocked with items that i need on a regular basis. they offer a pretty selective variety of brands. the very own albertsons brand products are just as good as the more known brands. their deli always provides fresh and warm foods for me to take home. their fruits and veggies stay hydrated and well maintained. i have never taken home a dry veggie or bruised fruit. service and help is great and all the staff members are so friendly. sometimes i go in and end up shopping long enough for my bladder to signal.. and gosh even their bathrooms are kept clean. read more

I go there for self check out because I'm usually in a hurry and don't have all day to chat with the checkers. There are a few checkers that are there that are nuts - I mean full blown NUTS! One of them stalks you through the check out line, comments on your food choices, asks about where you got your shoes or purse, just nuts. Then there's this girl with stringy hair that tries to run you over with her push broom and talks to the canned products, asking them how they're doing. This establishment is horrid! The workers are nothing but despicable and unprofessional. I walk in and mind my own business and these kids goofing around knock over plastic beach balls and many items and I ignored it. When walking out, I get called by a female worker blaming me for the childrens wrong doing. Not sure her name- she's tall and blonde. I am a grown woman that gets blamed for children who are completely childish. I begin to arge with the worker, telling her that it was not my mess to clean up and if she continued to blame me, this would be going on yelp- so here I am. She is verbally attacking me- a well paid customer who Albertsons easily could have gotten money out of- however I will no longer be at this establishment with ANY of my money. I am furious that this woman would walk up to me and accuse me of something when they should be keeping an eye on their disruptive customers. Albertsons just lose hundreds of dollars from me, I am discontinuing my Albertsons card, and will tell everyone my experience. Hire new workers Albertsons!! read more
