I am a loyal fan of Trader Joe's. This is strengthened by the fact that they had a bathroom that saved my life. After a long drive, I was praying that this Trader Joe's has a bathroom (because public restrooms are for some reason not as common anymore). I always love picking up flowers and bottles of sparkling tea (a nonalcoholic analogue to wine) when I visit friends. This location was selling carnivorous plants which is a huge temptation for me but is something I cannot sustainably maintain at this point in my life. Maybe in a decade. Love seeing a Trader Joe's with a REAL parking lot! What a rare find! We were up in this area to do other shopping and decided to check this location out. Literally found parking right up front too! Super convenient. Staff here are welcoming and friendly but we have yet to go to a location that doesn't have that! My wife and I stopped by this Trader Joe's location today because we were in the area and she wanted her yogurt. When we came, we got the parking close to the entrance. This location seems to be bigger than other store I been to. They are also more busier because I think it's in a plaza with other stores like Best Buy. This Trader Joe's is much more roomy inside and doesn't feel small. The produce area are on the right side of the store and the yogurt is toward the back. My wife found the yogurt she like and also some raspberry as well. If you shop here then you already know the prices are higher here compared to regular grocery store. They also have people in the parking lot selling some fruits as well. There no self checkout station but they have more cashier station so we were able to pay quickly and leave. They also have a little game if you know where the bird is then you'll get a lollipop. The cashier we had today was very nice, funny and friendly. read more

This is a decent sized Trader Joe's and it stays pretty well stocked. There are always staff members around to help if you can't find anything. Also the produce is always fresh. It's rare to find anything that's overripe. Trader Joe's has all of the best snacks and specialty treats. The only issue is they come in small quantities. So if you have a family or group you'll have to stock up. As with most Trader Joe's, the parking lot can be a bit chaotic. But there is plenty of parking in the shared lot as long as you don't mind a little walk. read more

Have to shout out to this location and the people who work there, especially LAUREN!! This store has always had an amazing crew but Lauren has gone above and beyond in my last two visits. a couple weeks ago she stopped in her tracks to talk all things lemon with me & my daughters and then proceed to open a cake & cut us a slice so we could try it. I know they are allowed to do this, but I appreciated her enthusiasm & engagement which were so sincere. We saw her again this week & she immediately stopped to say hi, and wished me a happy birthday which she was aware of from our previous visit. She ended up checking us out & gifted me some flowers for my big day. I hope she knows she's my friend now! Hahaha! But truly; I have been to Trader Joe's in many neighborhoods & have been a loving customer for over 25 years. I've been coming to this location for a while but then again it's the only Trader Joe's in Santa Clarita. Parking lot is in a large shopping plaza however the spaces to park are small, you gotta squeeze yourself in there like a sardine. I usually park closer to Best Buy as it's a little less crowded on that end and walk over. Inside is a good size, still small but with lots to offer. If you can't find anything there is always someone on the floor to ask. They have a variety of items, the price tags will indicated a V or GF on them so you don't have to stop and look at the ingredient list, which makes it a lot easier for me to shop. They also have a speciality item end cap for what's in for the month.. it's strawberry season now, so I finally found the gf strawberry muffins in stock and let's just say you won't be disappointed, the perfect amount of sweetness. Now onto checking out, all lanes are open so you don't have to wait in line longer than you expected. Checkout process is quick, even if you have a lot of items in your basket. Most of the cashiers are friendly, and I always try to go in line to the cashiers that have helped me plenty of times, as there is always a good interaction with them. You can also buy paper bags for 10 cents or let them pack it in your reusable ones. And If you have any heavy items that you can't lift out your cart ask for assistance and they'll help ya to your car. read more

Shopped here yesterday. Picking up items for myself and for my aunt. At checkout Joshua was our cashier. He greeted my daughter and I and asked how we were/ how's it going? Told him been stressing, been a tough week so far. I lost my mom on Saturday. So it's been hard. Wasn't paying much attention as my mind is going in several directions. I paid for the groceries and as he pulled the cart through. I saw a bouquet of beautiful roses in the top of the cart. And he gave his condolences. That really made me smile. He was so kind. I come here for all of my grocery needs. I love their produce selection, it's always in season and fresh. I love their specialty items that they craft, their frozen options especially!! They have a great cheese and cracker section. There's plenty for gluten and dairy free people to choose from. Even vegans! They do have premade marinated meat and I love these options, honestly there's no shortage of quick meals to prepare here. Throw together the lentils and bruschetta for instance and use it as a dip for crackers! They have seasonings that are to die for too. Their baked items are great, fantastic low prices on wine, and the flowers!! I bought a few bouquets of flowers so I could create my own and it came out so well. Parking isn't easy, be patient and you'll get a spot. Bring your own bags with you! The store layout is clean and easy to navigate. Some of my favorites are: Gnocchi alla Sorrentia and Gnocchi with white cheese, Organic Naan crackers, Anchovy Fillets in oil, Avocado oil, and most of Trader Joe's spices at a very low price. Let me start by saying that Trader Joe's use to be my absolute favorite supermarket to shop at. Key word...use to be! Over the past few weeks, months and maybe even a years...you guys have seemed to forget all about the Vegan shoppers. First, you discontinued the vegan chicken seasoning and I was upset for a while, but I got over it. Then you guys canceled your most popular vanilla sandwich cookies and I thought maybe it's temporary and they'll bring it back. NOW you guys have canceled your vanilla vegan ice cream and your vegan bon bons and Vegan Mochi! I mean this is absolutely ridiculous. You have only two options for vegans in the ice cream section and a whole freezer full of dairy!! We want healthy options! Not every human being wants to feed on COW milk. feels like a F****** DEI situation! Now I have to shop at Whole Foods, where the prices are much higher. Vegans like me need to feel inclusive inside your store. You must do better Joe. Please bring back all those tasty vegan treats and also add more vegan options. Love this Trader Joe's! I always find what I need here and everyone is always so friendly! I get so excited to shop here especially during the Holiday season with all the fun holiday themed foods! I also get a ton of little additions to Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers here! Everything from gingerbread cookies to little alcohol chocolates to maple leaf cookies and peppermint hot chocolates...I always have to get them all! Sometimes I don't even know who to give it to when I buy them but when someone comes up, I have them ready and easily makes a perfect little gift! Some of my year round favs include their tangerine juice, blueberry lavender almond milk, elote chips (insanely addicting), pretty much all their desserts, and their focaccia breads. Also love getting sundried tomatoes and everything bagel seasoning! Besides food, I loveee getting my plants here! Eucalyptus and peonies always! Just recently got my yearly mistletoe and poinsettia for the house! Will probably be here or any Trader Joe's location at least once, if not twice a week this month haha read more

Really never do this but this experience is still sitting with me wrong even hours after it happened. So I came in today to purchase (around 12-1) some last minute gifts for family and I was helped by a H. Elanete (the name that is on my bottom of my receipt) and I was holding everything in my hands which included two mini bottles of prosecco. I thought everything will be fine I'm young so I understand that I know they're going to ask for my ID but keep in mind my hands were full and instead of assisting me with my things this cashier immediately asked about for me ID and as soon as she asked me for it, it honestly took me aback because how are you expecting me to get my id when my hands are full? I then looked down at my hands hoping she would get that I can't really show her my ID right now but then she made a comment about how it's the law. At no point did I protest anything or say anything against that I was simply appalled by how rude and blunt the action was (had I been older would she have immediately asked for me ID as well instead of assisting me with placing my items down, also her tray wasn't even out so I really did need assistance), I then said outright can I put my things down first please? Afterwards I showed her my ID and even extended it to her just in case she wanted to take it but I guess she couldn't even bother to reach a few inches and I had to extend my arm out further. Anyways I was willing to put this all aside, I really do love shopping at Trader Joe's but I keep mulling this over especially since every once in a while I always get a rude interaction here with employees about asking for ID or needing some assistance but yet everyone else who doesn't like me gets treated better if not the best so I don't think I'm going to continue shopping here if another interaction occurs with these employees. read more

Update: This location changed..maybe different managers?? They often seems to run out of a lot of things. Especially by Friday evenings when us daytime working people need items for the weekend. The staff are friendly (hence the 2 stars) but management/supervisor sneed to step up and make sure they have things shocked for the weekend. The other locations I've been to don't have that issue. It has changed drastically for the worst. Can't wait until the other location opens to see how they run it. As I will not be coming to this one anymore. And did I say worst parking lot?? read more

I've been visiting this location for a while now, and it's usually a great experience. They have plenty of parking, a friendly staff and a wide selection in the store. The store is doing a great job of keeping the number of people in the store down, and monitoring the line to make sure people aren't cutting. The staff is all wearing masks, shopping carts are sanitized and customers wear masks as well. Maybe management should remind the people at the register to pause casual conversations in front of customers, or at least stop to greet them, instead of waiting for them to only acknowledge you when handing you a receipt. I've worked retail myself, and although I understand, it is not something other customers may brush off so easy. read more

This is the only Trader Joe's location in the Santa Clarita Valley so it gets pretty busy at this location with people shopping. On a positive note, the store is decent in size and the isles are wide enough to prevent you from running into people. Parking here is a little difficult. They share a parking lot with a Petco and a Best Buy location so you can imagine how many cars come here especially on the weekends. Overall, its a great location to shop at if don't mind a little inconvenience. read more

This review is for the most awful experience with cashier "Kimberly k" . I am blown away by how uncomfortable she made me feel. First thing she says as I bring my cart to her line is whispering to her bagger, Ricardo, "wow why do all these big orders come through this line because it is a straight shot" basically complaining that my cart is full of food to feed my family and she didn't want to ring me up. One of the main reasons I love TJ is for the warm, welcoming staff. The whole time Kimberly was ringing me up not ONE WORD WAS EVEN SAID, I initiated the greeting she just straight up started complaining about how large my order was, which made me feel guilty for spending 300$ ???? I felt so uncomfortable it was so awkward and management needs to know about her awful poor, unwelcoming attitude. I'm so shocked because all the other staff always make friendly talk , GREET ME (should me number one???) and never complain ??? I shouldn't be made to feel guilty about spending hundreds a month on food for my family. This was the worst experience ever. Sorry to inconvenience you with bringing my cart to your line. Today was one of those days where everything could've possibly gone wrong. A customer in the parking lot side swiped my car, luckily she waited for me to exit the store and we exchanged info. When I got home, all the way back to Newhall, one of the handles on my bag broke , and the bag that had my eggs , and the pico, both tore open and got all over everything else in the bag. Out of frustration, I called Trader Joe's to ask if there was anything that could do, Cesar was very helpful and accommodating about the situation and didn't make me feel bad or shame me at all.
