Preston arrived and quickly diagnosed the issue. At least within 5-10 minutes. Capacitor had gone bad. Didn't take him very long to get it replaced. He is very knowledgeable and patient.. I asked all about how we could better maintain our unit because I know very little about HVAC maintenance and he took the time to explain how to properly clean the unit to help maintain it. I'm very grateful Preston decided to come out and help us especially with his day as packed as it was. I will be using Bishop's in the future for all my AC needs.

There was some miscommunication after rescheduling though and they still showed up on the original date, but it worked out since we happened to be home. Other than that, the service was smooth and we liked how transparent he was. He gave us an alternative option to fix our AC while staying within our budget, which was extremely helpful so we are so grateful for that! They would not take any responsibility, so we fought with them for over a month just to get our money refunded for the reset ($500). So we contacted Grizzly after that company told us we needed to replace our compressor for $7000+ (and recommended we just replace the whole unit if we had to do that). Grizzly was able to come out same day during the heat wave. Joseph (our Grizzly service guy) called me on his way, came and asked a couple questions and told us what the two possible issues were based off the info he had. He got right to work on the unit on our roof. Joseph said it seemed like the capacitor which is what we had assumed was the issue as well, and went to get the part from the shop. He came back with the part and had our ac blowing cold air again shortly after. Joseph even talked to us about our washable filter being too thick and possibly causing our machine to work too hard and gave us info on purchasing a better washable filter option. Overall, Joseph did his job fantastically. He walked us through the process and was professional and extremely friendly. Working with Grizzly was actually about $90 cheaper than if we would have replaced the same part with the other company. Luckily for us, a terrible experience with one company made us reach out to Grizzly and we ended up with the best value and experience fixing our ac on a hot day. Would highly recommend this company and plan on continuing with Grizzly for future services. But biggest shout out to Joseph!!

I have been really skeptical of all HVAC companies in the past 5 years. I have been burned by so many HVAC techs and wasted so much money. 4 different companies went through with different shadiness levels giving me different answers for the same HVAC issue. Every company kept telling me my freon was low and i most likely had a leak. One company even told me to just replace my brand new system cause "it was from China" The Jaguar tech (Jeff) definitely gave me some disappointed head shakes at previous work but was the only one to truly put his head down, work, and diagnose the root cause of the issue. He checked every part of the system before he gave me an answer on what he believed was wrong. After the diagnosis he detailed every part of the HVAC unit (and attic unit) and explained to me what he was looking for, what he found, and what he believed was the answer. I never felt like he was up-selling me. It wasn't even a freon issue to begin with and the filter drier needed to be replaced. After another visit and a 4 hour procedure my HVAC unit has been running smoothly all Summer 2026. I will seriously only call this company from now on.

I then asked him what was his inspection/tune up process and he expressed the perfect inline procedure I had previously looked up on my SmartPhone. He went directly to work and I was shocked after completion that he had taken pictures of his every move and test stats and he also laid a tarp down when getting into the attic. When speaking after the fact my wife were very impressed with his knowledge, he spoke slowly, explained and answered all our questions in detail so we could easily understand.
